  1. I got 15 out of 20. I am mildly-to-moderately interested in park history, so this mediocre-but-not-terrible score seems reasonable.
  2. I still need a Colossus credit and a Superman credit, plus the new coasters, so hopefully I'll be as lucky as you the next time I go. Glad you were able to get to the park!
  3. ^^How did I know someone would ask me that? It seems that everyone except me finds it a very positive, inspiring song. It's incredibly intense and the dark feel plus some of the lyrics brought up images that gave me a nightmare after I first listened to it! It's one of my favorite Zeppelin songs and the one that gets in my head the most often. The end.
  4. Wait wait wait, "Kashmir"? That song is amazingly disturbing. I'm kind of looking forward to possibly hearing the new soundtrack now! Great artists.
  5. ^I'll settle for evening if necessary! In some ways, The Beast sounds like "my kind of coaster", but I'll keep my expectations modest as I'm an airtime fanatic, and I have little experience with good wooden roller coasters that are renowned for other features without also including copious airtime.
  6. I think I can now say I'm committed to riding The Beast as late as possible. Does the ride generally improve steadily throughout the day, or is it literally only good at night? You have a point there!
  7. The triple down isn't my favorite part of Voyage, either. Then again I'm weird (?) and especially liked the airtime on the first couple drops.
  8. I'm glad someone else loves S:TOP! I could swear I keep hearing it's overrated, but it's one of my favorite towers. It was running a long, thrilling program when I rode, although this isn't always the case. I agree that SFOT has a stand-out coaster collection. It's earned a spot as one of my favorite SF parks. ^I think I've only saved Sierra Sidewinder for ERT. I'm glad we only missed out on Little Dipper during the Middle America trip, which didn't matter to me since I caught it early.
  9. I see several of my favorite flats! I'd love to track down a traveling Rock-O-Plane or Loop-O-Plane.
  10. I'm glad I'm headed there this month, although it doesn't sound like a great park. It's been in trouble for years, hasn't it?
  11. My last coaster was Looping Thunder at Oaks Amusement Park. It's violent!
  12. My last coaster was Wild Thing at Wild Waves. It's marginally fun, but it was really delivering the head bangs and neck chops yesterday. I know it's infamous for that, but the first time I rode it, it was almost perfectly smooth for some reason. At least it didn't hurt that much...on most laps.
  13. My next park is Enchanted Forest Theme Park. Hope it's enchanting!
  14. I'll be at Remlinger Farms tomorrow; hopefully I won't actually ride anything. Then I'll head to Wild Waves Theme Park.
  15. My last coaster was Timber Terror at Silverwood Theme Park. It's still one of my favorites, but I think I'm starting to like Tremors a little better.
  16. Uh...today I'm first going to Country Mercantile. I think I'll be allowed to ride the coaster...
  17. My last coaster was Looping Thunder at Oaks Amusement Park a few hours ago (and yes, I kind of like it, plus it didn't hurt as much this visit). I was reminded why this is decidedly not one of my favorite parks, even though it's quite fun. My last coaster would've been a carny Wisdom Tiger Express, but I declined to ride. Unlike some people.
  18. I'm headed out to my home park, Oaks Amusement Park, for the first time in over two years!
  19. I haven't ridden Bizarro yet, but I didn't like what I'd heard about the old audio. I love the soundtrack on X2, so maybe I'll tolerate or even enjoy the music on Bizarro. Who knows.
  20. I had no idea Canobie was so charming and scenic! Yankee Cannonball looks like it has beautiful trains and a great classic layout. I can't wait to check out the park! I saw some neat rides I wasn't aware of, so thanks for the overview.
  21. It's the Fun Forest Windstorm! I must get back to the SDCF as soon as possible. There is so much to do there, and they have a great ride collection!
  22. Oh great, I totally forgot there are two of these I have to ride this year. Well, "get" to ride. Maybe I could skip one.
  23. ^That good news kinda makes me want to go back! I found it to be a charming ride with a bit of decent air, but not notable. I could use a few more laps to help me "get" Eagle and Boss, as I liked them but didn't feel they were too memorable. I won't comment on the jackhammering on Boss though...
  24. Not sure if this is a similar enough ride to be relevant, but when I rode a StarFlyer the attendants were very careful and exacting about balancing. However, they would run it with very few riders (perhaps only one or two?) with no issues.
  25. I have never noticed the difference between any competing soda brands. In fact, it took me years to even really recognize soda flavors at all! I do like the common Powerade flavors more than the typical Gatorade ones, though, so that's a win for Coke. And while I'm a total mark for Mexican Coke and find it a bit refreshing, I've never actually compared it to normal Coke to see if it's really better or just an overhyped gimmick.
