  1. I want to ride them all by yesterday. Anyway, I'm pleased with these results. Three of my own top 5 show up in the same order in the top 5, and I can't complain about my #8 being #1! I'm also liking the continued popularity of several I haven't ridden.
  2. Yes, thanks! The elusive Interpark Wild Wind it is. I wonder if any of the three operating ones listed here were modified to reduce the forces, or if those little-known parks just don't have the same standards!
  3. ^^Thanks for the insight. I don't think that's the one I'm looking for, though. I wish I could provide more details, but I'm just not sure what I've remembered accurately!
  4. Wasn't there a compact steel coaster so intense, it was moved to at least three different parks, each one deeming it too dangerous to operate? I'm having trouble remembering any other details.
  5. I like the sound of the storyline. Usually I'm fine with great theming or setting, but having both is even better!
  6. Just when I had decided not to bother with this park...I might have to change my mind after seeing how cute and picturesque it is. Not complaining!
  7. ^^I like how each two pictures of the same coaster are diagonally across from one another on option #1. That's my choice. Incidentally, I went through a similar arranging process recently with a (secondhand) group of photos including an Olympia Looping picture a lot like one of yours. I figured my walls needed more coasters.
  8. Really, they're just inventing the same kind of rumor that just as easily could've come about on its own. Anyway, aren't believing it and not believing it equally valuable to them as long as we're talking about it?
  9. I've been curious if I'd been overlooking any good coaster merch at SFDK, so that's interesting. There was a time when this would've frustrated me, but I'm mostly "over" coaster shirts. Besides, when I am interested, I am very particular, so even if a park "tries" with a variety of designs, they still might not make anything I want.
  10. ^I must say, I agree more with your post than with most of the other commentary I've seen and heard on the matter.
  11. That's funny Jer, that was actually my first reaction too. Right before "Where exactly is this?" Good luck with that. I'm sure it helps to live closer to parks with merch, but the most relevant I've found are a Tower of Terror shirt and a DCA sweatshirt, neither of which were worth buying (might as well go there and buy new).
  12. ^Hell, I'd even put the lap bar down. They're sooo comfy.
  13. ^Honestly I'm just looking forward to seeing more up-close pictures of that beautiful teal track.
  14. I had no idea the first drop would look anything like that. I just hope the ride experience lives up to its crazy looks!
  15. ^^I enjoy Colossus, too. I found it reasonably smooth and it had a bit of airtime. It's just a bit too ordinary for my tastes (provided it's not racing). Actually, even without racing it's fun to look over at the other track.
  16. ^^I see what you did there. But let's keep the Freezes where they are and just build more if anyone else wants them!
  17. ^I feel like I've heard the Rattler layout would be more difficult to work with because, as you said, it's not as interesting or standard to begin with. I must say, though, I actually enjoyed the helix a bit. "Rattling" through the structure was strangely appealing in the front seat.
  18. Anyone recall what was said at East Coast Bash? I honestly can't remember if they told us they had a choice they were confident in or if they were still unsure.
  19. ^For real? I'm not sure I have even once remembered what time of year it starts, and I used to sell them. Bring on the Thin Mints, Samoas and whatever else I end up with.
  20. ^Wow, took me a moment to even recognize the site. Guess I'm not used to seeing it from that angle.
  21. ^Yes, I was oversimplifying since the term "'wooden'" was used in the initial post. I could have said "hybrid steel" instead. I think what loses me is that I forget that Iron Horse is the name of their steel track. And Topper Track is the only wooden coaster track they make, right? Once I have the product names straight I should be fine.
  22. With the (alleged) information already out there so early, I wonder when they'll announce this. I'm going with the assumption that this is true, but I'm still eager to hear from SDC when the time comes.
  23. Whatever they do, I hope they make the coaster exciting. From a combination of the interesting layout and reports from its early years, I can just barely make out the potential the ride has, even though it's currently tame and rough.
  24. ^Wow. First, what exciting news! I am so tempted to find my way back there next year. Second, will it be wooden or "wooden"? I've heard they will be building true wood coasters, but I could see them making an "NTag" from scratch, too. I understand what they've already done, but this future stuff loses me quick. Third...I hope this doesn't mean Silverwood isn't getting one next year...that was an awesome rumor.
  25. Haha, that's what I thought of, too. Clever...
