  1. Great TR! It brings back a ton of awesome memories. (I went in July 09) I had no idea the looping mouse closed, when did that happen? It was still open when I went. We thought it would be painful, but it really wasn't bad. While I don't think it would make anyone's "top coaster" list, it was unique and added some quirkiness to Tobu Zoo. Oh, and the ghetto mad house was hilarious and terrifying! We had no idea what to expect when we got in there, and when it first started up we all freaked out cuz we had no idea what was going on. Unfortunately the go-karts were closed the day we went since it was rainy most of the day. They look really bizarre and fun though. I'm just happy the rain cleared enough for us to get some rides on Kawasemi. And a manager was really nice and let us ride Regina in the rain. It was a unique experience in the rain, and is beautiful with raindrops falling in the lake in the center.
  2. It was SUCH A FUN DAY yesterday! Thanks to TPR, Knott's, Travel Channel, Bert's Crew, and Bert for making it possible. I think "Broccoli Robb" and "Zooooooom!" were the themes of the day hehe. Oh, and Bert struck some manly poses! I'll try to upload more pics from the shoot later today if I get some free time. Zooooooooooom!!!
  3. GROAN... That was -terrible- Iduno... I thought that was a KILLER joke.
  4. ^ Gertrude found that nice open piece of land to go to the bathroom on, and right when she was about to go you popped out with the camera and messed it all up!
  5. ^ That question was answered above on this page.
  6. Miss Title Fairy, will you please bestow upon me a custom title?
  7. I'll get crap for this... I liked Flashback and Windjammer. (I was young when I rode them, and don't remember either of them having head banging issues. Maybe being smaller helped out.) I liked Manhattan Express. (I agree it sucks now, but back in the day I really enjoyed it. Again, maybe because I was smaller. Or maybe it has just gone wayyyyy downhill) I like Silver Bullet. I like California Screamin' (it's one of my favorite coasters).
  8. Bebes... you outdid yourselves with this one! Totally worth the wait. There is so much hilarious-ness in that report. Gertrude's jeep, mini manly Robb, Green Lantern under construction, Lady Bebe peeing, Hilary peeing, manly Goliath, rock paper scissors, tons of bonus manliness, and the best ever - man woman man & man with limp wrist. And that's not even everything. Such a great TR, I was LOLing the whole time. Thanks for hanging out with us again this year... WCB just wouldn't be the same without The Bebes. We had such a fun time! Oh, and in response to "Can you use your Fast Pass to skip the line for Fast Pass?" Actually, yes, you can. Just show your fast pass at the front of the line.
  9. Well, it has been said before, but... Twister Twins! Great footage Robb, and great pics Hanno. Awesome as always.
  10. Here's a good translation of Compass of Your Heart that I found on MiceChat: Lift your sails to the heavens, steer straight towards the horizon. A bright, shining dream - a treasure waits for you. Rough waves may toss your ship, storms may rage in your path. If you proceed without fear, friends will give you a hand. As the winds propel you on your journey, steer with anticipation and hope. Help everyone as you proceed, never forgetting kindness and courage. Chorus: Life is an adventure, although there is no map. Seek the treasure and believe in the compass of your heart. There is something more important than gems or gold. Life is an adventure, although there is no map. Seek the treasure and believe in the compass of your heart. The most valuable thing is a gift from the heart. At last we find the treasure, not gems or gold. It's the journey we take and the great friends we make along the way. Life is an adventure, although there is no map. Seek the treasure and believe in the compass of your heart. ... and a Youtube video of the ride, for those who haven't ridden it:
  11. OMG Elissa, don't even get me started on Sinbad's Storybook Voyage! We had no idea that ride was at DisneySea - we just walked over there and were like "Sinbad's Storybook Voyage? It's probably like the storybook boats at Disneyland (which aren't very high on my favorite rides list). But what the heck, lets check it out." We were BLOWN AWAY! IMO, Sinbad's is one of Disney's best non-thrilling rides. The music is absolutely beautiful, and really meaningful too if you look up a good translation. Unlike small world, the verses of the music actually tell a story as you progress through the ride. It explains how you're seeking treasure, but at the end explains how the real treasure was the journey you took and the friends you met along the way. I think it's saying you should seek what you want in life, but follow "the compass of your heart" to get there rather than taking the path others say you should take - as the real treasure in life is the experiences you have trying to chase your goal, not the end goal itself. Gotta love rides with life messages. I've spent HOURS looking for the song, but haven't been able to find a professional recording of it. If anyone has it, please let me know. Or if you stumble across it on the Japan trip, please pick me up a copy! I'm hoping the ride comes to America someday, or at least an English version of the song gets made.
  12. BTW, I always refer to this coaster as Olympia Loopon after seeing the video of Piers riding it.
  13. I can't really think of a coaster that I want to ride more than this one. I just hope it's still there whenever I make it to Oktoberfest! Thanks for posting pics.
  14. ^ It's not getting demolished, we're going to save it! Anyone have a pickup truck? I'm making T-shirts and taking donations.
  15. SaveTheHurricane.org? Don't forget the .com. Too soon?
  16. Nice job Disney! It looks like they combined the best of all their shows into one, and really took advantage of the space they have for the show at DisneySea. I like that they kept the core of the show and story the same, but dramatically improved the technology and scale of it. I do still like the scenes on the Mark Twain and Columbia in Disneyland's Fantasmic better than the Japan counterparts, but the DisneySea show seems more impressive overall.
  17. Have an awesome time tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the WCB 2011 TR!
  18. A "little lullaby of a bounce" is probably my favorite description of how a coaster feels that I've read on this board. Cool TR, and thanks for trying to show another side of Raptor. While I haven't ridden it, I get the impression that I'll agree with your assessment of it whenever I finally do. A coaster is so much more than just the coaster - its surroundings, theming, and whether it "fits" all affect how good the ride is, and from what I've seen Raptor seems to strike a pretty good balance. I get that some people don't like it because it isn't forceful or thrilling enough, but to me it looks like a pretty great ride that "belongs" at that park.
  19. I like this idea. I'm changing my 5 rides to: 1. Intamin Megalite, but bigger! 2. Intamin Accelerator, but bigger! 3. Intamin Hyper, but bigger! 4. B&M Invert, but bigger! 5. Another B&M Invert, but bigger! All of my rides are still SBNO. To pay for the 'bigger' part I'm adding L0CK3RS.
  20. ^^ Oh, and despite the fact that my rides are good, my operations are terrible. That's how I pay for such good rides. I usually run 1-train. Lines can reach 3+ hours, and there are no misters or shady areas in the 100 degree heat where I built my park. Actually, all of my rides are SBNO. I don't tell you that until you enter the park. A burger costs $25. The burgers are vegan. Admission to my park costs $950, but you can return for the rest of 2011 free. You also get 1 free friend admission. Your friend must be a goose.
  21. ^ The geese live outside and have to find a way in (preferably in humorous ways) if they want to partake in my 5-ride freefall-free paradise.
  22. 1. Intamin Megalite 2. Intamin Accelerator 3. Intamin Hyper 4. B&M Invert 5. Another B&M Invert Or just combine them all into one insane mind-blowing coaster. My park lacks a free fall ride, and that makes me feel like SFMM.
