  1. TPR ERT on the claw... not a bad idea.
  2. Interesting. I may have missed a ducky or two, but we'll see. I'm looking forward to the official answer tonight. BTW Big Mike... I included a Big Mike shout out in the current issue of TPR The Magazine. It's in the crossword puzzle in the Fun and Games section!
  3. That's great news! Your hard work may finally pay off!
  4. Robb, I PMed you my address after the Desmond T-shirt contest like the thread said to, but I never emailed it to you. Should I have sent an email too?
  5. Assuming it wasn't just a ripoff of the older one I mentioned awhile ago (which is now defunct). I found a site referencing the old one: http://www.crunchgear.com/2007/09/15/play-a-real-claw-machine-online/ I guess it's possible that two companies thought of the same concept independently, but to me it seems like the execution is too similar to be a coincidence. Maybe someone involved with the old one helped make this one??? If so, more power to them, because the concept is awesome. But if it's just a ripoff, then the original creators deserve those big design contracts.
  6. Welcome back Big Mike!!! That was a hard round of Find the Duckies. There were lots of ambiguous red-yellow ducky-like blotches of color. After much scrutiny, I'm going with 7 duckies!
  7. Years and years ago when the internet was a fresh baby kitten I stumbled upon an almost identical thing. Some people had set up multiple claw machines filled with stuffed animals and you could play them online. If you won you didn't actually get anything, but it was tons of fun playing. Since there were multiple machines and you couldn't actually win anything, there was rarely a wait of more than a minute or two. The best part was that the machines didn't have clear walls around them, so people in the room would interact with the machines. When people were refilling the machines with animals you could try to grab their hands with the claws. And sometimes when you grabbed a stuffed animal with the claw someone in the room would walk over and rip it out and throw it across the room. It was hilarious. Sadly, the website closed down after awhile. I still tell people about that website, and am glad to see that someone made something similar. It's cool that you can actually win stuff in this version, but I think this version is missing some of the random fun/silliness of the old version.
  8. Prince Desmond planned on raising money by going fishing on Black Lake and then selling his catch. Too bad he didn't know that you should never fish on Black Lake when the moon be full... After being blinded by Old Gregg's Mangina, Prince Desmond awoke in Gregg's place. Desmond attempted to make a deal with Old Gregg to save the Big Dipper Roll Coast, but unfortunately Old Gregg decided to deal with Desmond the way he dealt with Curly Jefferson!
  9. Thanks for posting the trip report! I'm going to Gilroy Gardens for the first time at the end of this month, so this TR was informative. The website says Quicksilver Express is open during this event, but it doesn't say anything about Timber Twister. Do you know if Timber Twister was open as well?
  10. LOLcats Desmond! Where is he? He's in your internet! He is make the Dipper save!
  11. I'm glad to hear that Knott's is participating again this year! It completely wore me out last year going from super late SFMM ERT to super early Knott's ERT/tours... but it was totally worth it. I had a great time at both parks. And this year we should actually get to ride Xcelerator at Knott's.
  12. YES!!! I can't wait! If it's even half as good as last year, it'll be the event of the year! Hopefully Gertrude remembers to buy her ticket in advance.
  13. I enjoyed looking at the Space Mountain manual. Thanks for posting!
  14. ^^ I just committed earlier today to letting some family stay over at my place after Thanksgiving, so unfortunately I can't join you guys. Thanks for the offer though, and have a great time!
  15. I almost bought tickets to that! It sounds fun. Now I'm having second thoughts on passing it up. For Thanksgiving I'm making a Tofurky!
  16. Thanks for all the great updates! You covered everything I was interested in and more. And Hopefully Prince Desmond got out of the air vent safely. If not, I don't think anyone will save the Big Dipper. That would be a real tragedy.
  17. That helicopter ride looks fun! All the IAAPA updates have been great, thanks for taking the time to put them together!
  18. Robb, in the "Did Summers/Dinn make ANY good coasters?" thread you asked Maybe one of the better woodie manufacturers would be able to shed some light on that.
  19. Hilarious!!! Drunk Piers videos are the best thing to happen to TPR since roller coasters. I can't get enough. +1.
  20. Sounds great... I'm looking forward to it! . I took the liberty to Photoshop it a bit before adding it to the Hall of Fame. Welcome!
  21. The video is up! About half way through I was thinking, "This isn't really one of my favorite Piers videos," then the pizza came out and changed everything. I loved it. I'm looking forward to many more Piers videos this week.
