  1. I seriously don't get the complaint around the parking price. Yeah, it's expensive. But it's MUCH cheaper than parking at most sporting events, concerts or even spending a day at a big city. I think I paid like $20 to park in NYC for a couple of hours last time I was there. Parking is $15...big deal. Your lunch at the park will probably be more expensive. Deal with it. --Robb "Hell, it's $13 for a day of parking in our office complex!!!" Alvey You pay $30 To park on old $8 Astroworld parking during Texans games...Hell one time i paid $12 and had to walk half a mile to the Rodeo. I had to park on GRASS! Muddy grass! All parking above $10 is rediculous imo. Especially when parking costs more then your ticket did just to enter the event.
  2. Finally some good rides will now be able to make thier way into the park. I was pretty dissappointed that they took out ET for Mummy, now if it had been as good as Florida's, that would be one thing, but from what I hear, Hollywood's is pretty lame.
  3. Maybe one day the golf course behind universal studios will go up for sale, that would give them the potential to expand both the theme park as well as the actual studio. But of course, that may never happen, but we'll see. As for the residential area, I don't think that would be too much of a problem. After looking at maps of the area, you'll notice that USH has a lot of land that they really just can't use for the studio or the park because its isolated from the 2 places. But residential areas should be fine, though hopefully idiots won't move into there and say, "Dammit! That theme park/studio is too loud! Conflaggit! Who put that damn thing there anyways! I'm going to go back inside and take my medication."
  4. I've never seen him at knotts, and I frequent the place. I out to keep an eye out for him. As for your ride on silverbullet... it's too bad. I've been on days where the ride is really running great (usually in warmer weather with a full load of people) and on days where it's just a very boring ride. Though usually it's just a very "meh" ride.
  5. I think that if anything, its most likely that the nearby residents will be the ones who kill off the project.
  6. SFMM only stays open thanks to parking fees. I could have sworn that I read that they did in fact start/will start doing that for the 2007 season. Maybe I misread though.
  7. for having next to no one at the park, they sure went all out on decorations!
  8. hmmmm.... interesting. But I thought DIsney got the DLP to work, and now they're just trying to get Disney's Studios to work.
  9. ^ well they said that they wanted to move away from "amusement park" to theme park, so I imagine that's just what they initially drafted, and once they get a large studio to back the park, they will proceed with drawing up new designs, ect. According to my calculations, this is the area will the park will be built. Just a little under 3 miles away from DLR
  10. 4 billion!? Yippee! Even though Disney never built westcot, we may get something just as good! But of course, we'll have to see if its actually going to happen though. *crosses fingers* Well, since USH isn't much of a theme park, maybe they would want to put thier name down in a more theme park like enviornment. Also note a high end park that "complements" disney could only mean better things for disney since well, I'm sure they wouldn't want to be considered #2. And if the new park does extremely well, maybe we could actually see WestCot become a reality? *Wishful thinking*
  11. WeeWeeSlap.com has a pictures section that allows for a large resolution. You can upload there then link to it from here. I believe non-registered members are allowed to browse the photo albums. Example Though, you'll have to PM "WeeWeeSlap" and ask him to create a photo album for you.
  12. Concept ART is not always all about the accuracy ya' know. Disney always seems to do a good job on thiers, and I wasn't thinking accuracy, I was thinking about the general shaping of objects.
  13. It looks like the train station is still there, unless of course that becomes the baloon station, in which case I'd be very sad as I've always wanted to take another spin on that thing, though I haven't gotten around to it. Not to mention that I'm not crazy about them taking out 2 rides for one. Also, was this ride planned before Silver Bullet? Because the concept art does not have SB painted into the background... wierd. Also, I would like to note the crappiness of the concept art and I have to wonder who the heck hired that guy?
  14. you will have to offer some desktop worthy pictures.
  15. and what size are those kids? 42"? Good find, though. At least they name fits the type of area its in.
  16. Woah, control yourself!
  17. Well the next stock reportings are coming up soon, I imagine the press release will come a week or two before then.
  18. If he does not have any any serious heart conditions that could be triggered during the ride, serious back injury, or pregnancy, he should go ahead and ride. I was about 5 the first time I rode Indy, and here I am 12 years later still talking about it.

  20. ^ I've been on far "least exciting" ride. But really, I think Knotts could make a new, better rapids ride and still have a hyper style ride of some sort. I just hope that if they go the route of removing it, they are patient and do it correctly and come out better with the new expansion then what they were previously. But knowing the current management, its highly unlikely.
