  1. I wouldn't mind paying some where between $150 - $200 for a park experience in its own league. Of course the only problem is I wouldn't get to do it very often. But also note that Al Lutz only reports what is coming out of burbank/TDA. These are just ideas about what they could do. It doesn't mean it's true or false, it is what it is: just an idea. As to what will actually happen, nobody knows for sure, but they're working towards something.
  2. I dunno, I'm digging the improvements. I can't wait to see what the company will bring to SFDK over the next couple of years.
  3. why did your ass detach itself while you were laughing? You might want to get that checked out, I think it might be hernia, or something. Glad to hear Kidtums is alright, though.
  4. Ahh man, i missed the peep burning? If there's anything better then roller coasters, it's peeps.
  5. It actually sounds like a really crappy generic place now. I would have considered visiting Banafante Gardens, but when I hear Gilroy Gardens, the word craptacular comes to mind. Seriously.
  6. I didn't find Men in Black THAT amazing. I mean the sets were really cool, but I just couldn't quite figure out what I was shooting at, I didn't really get the feed back that you get from Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster. I mean I enjoyed it, I just didn't quite get it is all.
  7. I'm torn between RotM:UF, Spiderman, and Indie... all of them pretty much pwn. Alien Encounters would be considered an effects show, not a dark ride.
  8. ^^ no, they are not. Their usage at the Universal parks are licensed. So this project is not connected to Universal at all, save the similar theme, and no, I do not believe IOA will be doing any upgrades to Marvel Hero island any time soon. But its alright, the land is still pretty bad ass.
  9. I wonder what they will build. Only time will tell. Anyways, for those of you who liked the florida one, remember that there is always the one out in CA.
  10. also note that Express passes alone are $40, and are a very useful item for the water rides as they tend to have the longest lines.
  11. I need to go to wild rivers again. Its been so long and about the only water park in SoCal that's actually worth my time and money.
  12. I dunno, I've ridden in both trains fairly recently and I found them both to have equal amounts of suckage. If there was a "smoother" train, I certainly couldn't tell! --Robb "So disspointed in GR especially given that I did it's commentary as a top ten coaster in 2002!" Alvey It makes me weap at night. I mean seriously, they have enough coasters that what they should do is close it down after the Haunt and rehab all the way up till march, save maybe 1-2 weeks in december. I'm sure the ride would be SOOO much smoother if that was the case. I also concur with CA having a good selection of what are generally just mediocre rides, unfortunately.
  13. i got a 65% I could have done better but I started slacking off halfway through the test and started clicking random answers. I think 100 questions was a little to much. It was like taking an English exam.
  14. not neccessarily. Shapiro doesn't come up with the park's project, he just approves it. If he feels that a brand new large coaster is the way to go, he will probably approve the park's plan, but I'm assuming he would like to see the parks start switching towards getting dark rides and various other types of family friendly attractions.
  15. why should the US fund Iraq's themepark? Its there country. They can do it.
  16. Still haven't received my ticket in the mail, talked with the lady on the deadline day, though, so hopefully it will come in tommarrow. Otherwise my ride won't be able to get in. - edit - went through the mail again, found it. Yup, so I can't wait till Sunday.
  17. I saw a Universal Orlando commercial out here in CA today and it featured the BMG, it must be coming along soon, I'd assume.
  18. heh, her water broke. So how will kidtums be portrayed, I wonder?
  19. it could also turn out that this company is completely wrong with thier thought that they are entitled to this patent. Who knows, we'll see. Patents are very tricky things.
  20. but also note that everything inside the park is good as well. Probably the best theme park food you'll find. The last time I went, I looked at a hamburger and I actually felt like eating it.
  21. If any of you guy's win, I'll give you a dollar if you stand up on a table, reach out your hand to Tara Connor and say, "Come with me if you want to live." Terminator references are the best.
  22. w00t Sunday! Hopefully I don't get scheduled to work. I shouldn't since I requested it off, but you never know...
