I wouldn't mind paying some where between $150 - $200 for a park experience in its own league. Of course the only problem is I wouldn't get to do it very often. But also note that Al Lutz only reports what is coming out of burbank/TDA. These are just ideas about what they could do. It doesn't mean it's true or false, it is what it is: just an idea. As to what will actually happen, nobody knows for sure, but they're working towards something.

Kemah Boardwalk and Bullet Discussion Thread

Ahh man, i missed the peep burning? If there's anything better then roller coasters, it's peeps. -
I didn't find Men in Black THAT amazing. I mean the sets were really cool, but I just couldn't quite figure out what I was shooting at, I didn't really get the feed back that you get from Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster. I mean I enjoyed it, I just didn't quite get it is all.

I'm torn between RotM:UF, Spiderman, and Indie... all of them pretty much pwn. Alien Encounters would be considered an effects show, not a dark ride.

Marvel Theme park announced
Gnome replied to coasterbadboy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ no, they are not. Their usage at the Universal parks are licensed. So this project is not connected to Universal at all, save the similar theme, and no, I do not believe IOA will be doing any upgrades to Marvel Hero island any time soon. But its alright, the land is still pretty bad ass. -
also note that Express passes alone are $40, and are a very useful item for the water rides as they tend to have the longest lines.

Photo TR: The Johnson's California Coasters Conquest
Gnome replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I dunno, I've ridden in both trains fairly recently and I found them both to have equal amounts of suckage. If there was a "smoother" train, I certainly couldn't tell! --Robb "So disspointed in GR especially given that I did it's commentary as a top ten coaster in 2002!" Alvey It makes me weap at night. I mean seriously, they have enough coasters that what they should do is close it down after the Haunt and rehab all the way up till march, save maybe 1-2 weeks in december. I'm sure the ride would be SOOO much smoother if that was the case. I also concur with CA having a good selection of what are generally just mediocre rides, unfortunately. -
Andy Shine's Quiz Time
Gnome replied to Simon Baynham's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i got a 65% I could have done better but I started slacking off halfway through the test and started clicking random answers. I think 100 questions was a little to much. It was like taking an English exam. -
not neccessarily. Shapiro doesn't come up with the park's project, he just approves it. If he feels that a brand new large coaster is the way to go, he will probably approve the park's plan, but I'm assuming he would like to see the parks start switching towards getting dark rides and various other types of family friendly attractions.

FOOD!!! at Universal Studios Hollywood
Gnome replied to PirateTinkerbell's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
but also note that everything inside the park is good as well. Probably the best theme park food you'll find. The last time I went, I looked at a hamburger and I actually felt like eating it. -
Win a Day with Tara Conner!
Gnome replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If any of you guy's win, I'll give you a dollar if you stand up on a table, reach out your hand to Tara Connor and say, "Come with me if you want to live." Terminator references are the best.
