Walmart employees fired after disarming gunman
Yamez replied to Hydraglow's topic in Random, Random, Random
To be honest, its bullshit. It'd be one thing if the guy had a gun and was just waving it around running out the door. My issue is that the guy pointed the gun into one of the employee's backs. Self defense is more important than company policy. Things like this is why sometimes I question corporate America. -
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=matt+cooke+hit&aq=f Really? The issue is not that Matt Cooke did it, its that he does it around the whole freaking league, and doesn't seem to care one way or another about it. When the guy has a 5 minute highlight reel of his dirty hits, that's a problem.

This, although the last episode helped a bit with that. I couldn't decide between vomiting or swooning the whole episode. Watching Blaine crash and burn was fun though

GCI coaster Contest [Rct3]

I would enter, but unfortunately I've got some major time constraints at work this month. So not this time around, I look forward to the entries though. -
Intamin Challenge (RCT3)
Yamez replied to SoCalCoasters's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The aquarium actually has a bit of a story behind it.... Originally, the aquarium was supposed to be built in a lake, possibly underneath the coaster, or underneath a chute the chutes that I ended up scrapping. Unfortunately, RCT3 gives the ride underwater pathing but doesn't actually allow placement underwater. It was quite saddening, because I really wanted to do that. I probably could've left the aquarium out, but I didn't feel like any other attraction fit well in the area. The time constraints really killed that one for me :-/ Thanks for the praise though, I appreciate it! As for the park size itself, I have a pretty nice computer, so load times were always minimal for me I'll try to take that into consideration in future parks and contests heh. I wanted to be as detailed as possible and make the park no bigger than necessary, so I downsized the land itself by quite a bit once I finished building to make sure the park wasn't too large...guess I didn't do so well on that part! Again, thanks for the thoughts and votes. I appreciate it! -
TPR's Game Exchange! BETA TESTING!
Yamez replied to robbalvey's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I uploaded my contest entry without issue, everything seems to be working perfectly as far as I can tell. Not sure if this is intended, but I had to log into the game exchange even after taking the link from the forums. Are we going to be able to have the game exchange be able to remember if we're logged into the forums or is that not going to be possible? -

.bak I think is a backupfile, while the .dat is the actual file. -

Got my park uploaded to the Game Exchange! Presenting: The Ruins of Atlantis! Featuring: The Trials of Atlantis Park Overview The Carousel and part of the gardens. I took a lot of care when building this around the carousel to get it just right. I thought it was quite pretty. White Water Adventures! White Water Adventures is an indoor-outdoor White Water Rafting Ride that was a blast to build and put together. You'll get soaked! The Entrance and Exit to Trials of Atlantis The Trials of Atlantis is the main feature of the park (and coincidentally its in the center of the park itself!). This indoor-outdoor Intamin coaster will take you through the trials of a gladiator back when Atlantis was a shining city. Trials of Atlantis overview. Featuring a 105 ft lift, a 65 mph launch, 9 moments of airtime (which adds up to be around 27 seconds total), and a dive under the lake, the Trials of Atlantis is a must for any thrill seeker! I would like to make a couple of notes before putting the download link out there. The park itself took me a lot of patience to build, I'm not normally one to stick to a project for long so it was quite the battle of attrition for me personally. I'm not entirely happy with how it came out, but there are some major highlights for me. The first one was the coaster: As it should be it took the majority of my time to get this one right. Between the lake, the tunnel, and the blocking system I couldn't have been more frustrated while building it nor more satisfied when it was finished. This was also my first custom support job in an entirety, so I'm really hoping I didn't over or under support the coaster. The second thing that I worked extremely hard on, that I feel came out well was the Rapids Ride. I'm not sure what possessed me to make an indoor-outdoor rapids ride but I think it came out perfectly for what I was trying to do. The park itself (theming, buildings, etc.) was the second biggest time sink in this one for me. Building the enclosures for the rides and the restaurants and things was a challenge because again; I had never done anything quite like it before. I would have really liked to revamp the entrance to the park as its very bland when compared to the rest of the architecture within the park itself, but I was working on a time frame Due to the limitations of RCT3 there were some things I just couldn't do that I would have loved to do. When I first thought up this park and the coaster I really wanted to have water cascading down some of the Atlantis themed buildings and the main entrance. The main entrance was also supposed to have vines and be a giant waterfall down the one side. Clearly, you can't do that with no CS - so I settled for what I could make happen. I might try to pick this park back up and work with CS to make those things happen. All in all, I hope you enjoy the park as much as I enjoyed building it, and good luck to the rest of the participants. http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=899 -

I'm pretty sure these are what he's referring to. Not trying to be a d**k, just trying to make sure you don't get banned! -

This would be nice to know as well. I've never uploaded a park to any website, so I'm not entirely sure where in the RCT3 folder they're located. -
Roller Coasters in the RAW on Blu-Ray Question
Yamez replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
With it being 6 discs in HD Blu-Ray, how much is this going to run us out of curiosity? I know its going to be expensive, but a ball park estimate would be nice. I'd love to pick this up. -

I'm not if you can't tell by the screens -
Just because we can win games and are in a playoff position doesn't mean that we don't get bullshit calls either. Just sayin'

Any particular reason you're using the LIM coaster and not the Looping Coaster? Just curious. -

You can't use steelworx in this contest unfortunately according to the rules he set out. Also, are there going to be points deducted for not using the custom supports? I'm having an absolute fit with Steel Jungle, not to mention I can't seem to find a way to delete the in-game supports. Small picture of what I'm working on: Not revealing too much! -

Anyone have a link to ATH's catwalk set? I have steel jungle, but that one I never could find... -
^^That goal was beautiful!
