^That will only work so long as you were tapping your heels together thile saying that. Hikaru-From the picture posted on the first page and looking at an aerial picture of the park, the flooding only appears to be in the south and eastern sections of the park. The areas closest to that river seem to be the worst.

This happens twice a year? Are you joking? I've never heard of this happening and my jaw is still on the floor. I mean, there is a good 30 feet of water by mindbenders 2nd loop. Unbeilevable. When I went to the park in late July it never crossed my mind why the coasters were off the ground and why there weren't many flat rides at the low sections of the park. Wilde is probably completely underwater.

True you could go to your local pool for a lot less, but I am not aware of many public pools (outside of publicly owned Highland Hills Water Park in Denverish) that have as many unique and thrilling slides. My guess is that by removing Chang they can put one of those new age slides like the one at Holiday World (right? I am pretty sure they are getting a new one) and Schlitterbahn. Those kind of attractions I am sure have a pretty big draw. As much as everyone doesn't get SF's decisions, it is a pretty big business and they wouldn't remove Chang if it wasn't justified somehow.

THRILL POINT LA [RCT2]

Are you keeping the trains at 7 long for capacity reasons? I think you should keep the wood coaster however I think you should get rid of the tiny yellow supports holding it up. Those would be necessary if you didn't have as many supports as you did, but since there is little distance between the supports it isn't needed. At least IMO. -
How often does SF move a coaster the size of change? It seems most of the ride trade rides are smaller, relatively simple coasters that don't have a massive footprint. La vipora and flashback for example. I guess Shockwave at SFGAm is a pretty decent sized coaster. Crazy though that this is happening. It will be interesting to see where it ends up.

^Like have the width of the slit for the catch that would be narrower than the actual cable? That way if it did pop it wouldn't fit out? Image how much force though that would have to be contained by a relatively thing strip of metal. If the cable snapped and warped that piece of metal you would have to completely rehab that piece of track to fix it.

^^That was brought up earlier and it was decided that theoretically yes you could put a different train style on a track, but the biggest issue with this situation is the heartline. Being a stand up coaster, the heartline is placed well above that of a sit down looper, which would put funky/unusual forces on people, trains and track. It is pretty unlikely though that that would happen, as is the move of chang. ^Atem beat me to it!

AllenA07- Would it be beneficial to sue both the park and Intamin, or just sue the park and let the park sue Intamin? That is what happened with SFKK's incident, right? The family sued the park (though settled outside of court) and the park returned by sueing Intamin. Just a thought. rctman- Fatalities shouldn't happen anywhere in the world, not just the US. Think about Invertigo, that single incident was heard around the world. A death on a coaster in China or Europe would have just as significant as an effect here in America.

Worst Coaster Ever?

^Saw and Speed? I haven't ridden saw, but I love the eurofighter so I am sure that that ride would fare well with me. And Speed is easily the best coaster in vegas. The Fact you didn't put the togo up there and put this instead makes my head hurt. -

^^The charger? I have been slammed with work this week, but the thumbnails looked like a charger. And in that case all I have to say is, HOLY SMOKES THAT IS A NICE FIRST CAR! -

Looks good so far! I definitely like the themeing you have put on the park at this point, keep it up! What ever happened to that park you and Belgian were working on together? Sea World park with the dive machine? -
I like how Floralands new coasters' supports are just sitting on top of each other, laying in a pile of mud, with no regards to compromising the integrity of the supports. I don't get how they will erect the lift hill track either if the supports are already completely finished. Good find anyway, thanks for posting.

RIDDLER'S REVENGE ANNOUNCED! So please, enjoy with me this project as it is my most ambitiuos project to date. I cannot wait to start working with styrene as I believe it is going to make a miraculously accurate model! I will post pictures as soon as there is something to report on, since I just ordered over a hundred bucks worth of plastic today. I am looking forward to these comments, they are the best. "Are those OTSR's? Oh man, this ride is going to suck! I hate OTSR's! I can't believe they are building this brand new, super cool, bound-to-be awesome coaster with OTSRs. I was going to go to this park, but those OTSRs made me hate the world. I am not going there next year!" "Are the rings up yet? Haha, I had to poke a little fun here. Sweet! I can't wait to start. Look at that concept art! Woah! Wait, is the mavericks heartline roll I see?

^Nice! Congrats! What kind? -
Is that even possible to convert it like that? I mean, I have heard of lots of conversions like inches to centimeters, money for beer, even steel phantom to phantoms revenge, but never have I heard of that kind of conversion. If Chang went to SFGAm too, something would have to go back to SFKK because it is a ride exchange not a ride take. This is interesting though for sure, and I will definitely be keeping my eye on this thread. Do we have any confirmation that it is true?

What do you mean by major rehab? I would have imagined that in that significant amount of time it was down earlier this year they would have thoroughly checked everything. Perhaps this is why Intamin switched to the LSM on iSpeed? Newer, safer technology than the cable pulling system. I don't know of any new accelerators planned for 10', but if I missed one, does it have cable launch of lsm? ^I think everyone on hear is just surprised to see it happen time and time again, and that there hasn't been a remedy for the problem. It is not that they are laughing or making fun of the people on it, I am sure a lot of people would have freaked out, but they are just remarking towards the commonality of this situation. And think from KBF's stand point, of your 3 main coasters in your park, one has huge sections of track being replaced and then another blows its cable. So that leaves you with 1 big coaster up (I love bullet), hard to draw crowds with that number.

^Then you probably would be a fan of Expedition Everest! That is Disneys newest gem at the price tag of $100 million and definitely has the going through the mountain thing going on. Made by vecoma, there is even a surprise feature inside! Check it out!

I simply don't understand Six Flags' business plan. Should be cool though, and the people of Africa deserve a legit and semi decent sized park! 2013 is a long way off though, and they still have Dubai on hold! Edit: Now that I think about it, perhaps the government is subsidizing part of the project to help stimulate a region. That makes sense I think.
