While I'm not sure when I'll be there just yet, I'm going to Chicago (SFGAm in particular) sometime in August, so I might as well just attend this since I'm going there anyway.

Another cool thing, I met one of the trumpet players from this year's A band yesterday, and his life dream is to design coasters! It's so cool!

I got into my school's highest jazz band for next year! 'A' Band, here I come.

In short, yes. It was sarcastic.

Fact: Terminator has no audio. Fact: SFMM advertised the ride as having audio for at least a couple weeks after it stopped working. Fact: This was a huge engineering fail. Fact: SFMM LIED TO US!!!!! This is the biggest fail of the century! I used to go up and ride this every weekend since the audio track was so intense, but now I'm barely ever going to go back. IMO they ruined a top ten for California woodie. Although to be honest, I think if we're not getting audio, we should get a back seat!

Flight of the Conchords on Sunday at the Hollywood Bowl. Probably the most fun I will ever have in my entire life. Bret and Jermaine are huge contenders for the funniest people on Earth. One of the biggest highlights of the night was when they took a woman's camera and started taking pictures of their junk in the song Sugalumps. I really hope they come back to L.A. again...even if they've been here two years in a row.

This basically sums up my feelings about this whole situation. I want to watch some tools getting maced!

I see where the complainers are coming from! I still picket outside SFMM every day for slowing down Superman: The Escape while still advertising it as an 100mph ride.

At the risk of sounding extremely nerdy, does it look like S&S is toying around with LSMs?

*Warning: Screamin' Fanboy response coming up* Did you ride it in the front row? There's actually a pretty decent moment of air at the top of the first hill in the front row. ...and if you try to stand up, there's somewhat decent air on the bunny hops. But that's also mainly in the front row.

Hahaha, they have that exact same free fudge sign at SFMM! Hooray for unintentional amusement park tie ins! And nice start to the PTR!

Brazilian bikini with a very, very tiny thong... It looks more like a belt than anything.... but yes, in some cultures that passes as a bottom. ...That slide definitely does look pretty good though...although those kind of slides generally freak the crap out of me.

^I sincerely hope that's true. Mr. Six was just a huge step in the wrong direction for SFMM. As you said,the park is a thrill park. Any little kiddie coaster they add isn't going to change the park's image, and really wont draw much attention. Large, thrilling coasters really work the best at Magic Mountain. However, since the general shift if the amusement industry is toward families, they should at least build a ride that the whole family, and not over-sized toddlers, can enjoy. I mean I have a 19 year old brother, 18 year old cousin, 16 year old cousin, and a 12 year old little brother, and they all like Tony Hawk at SFDK. A ride at that thrill level is really what SFMM needs if they want to gradually shift their park into a more family oriented one.

If anyone's a fan of the greatest band from French Canada/the world, 2 singles from Arcade Fire's upcoming album got leaked! Just search google for them and you'll find a news article with the songs in them. The first one, Suburbs, was actually pretty good and something a bit different from AF, but the 2nd one, Month of May, was probably one of their weaker songs.

That seriously has to be the best looking family coaster I've ever seen! It seems like the perfect size and speed to entertain a large audience. Yet another thing American parks need.

Where might we find this?! And for the record, I'm usually against hating on people who are clearly half my age...but damn. That's pretty amazing.

I never knew there was a way to literally sign away your chances of ever getting laid...until now. People are really going overboard with this.

^The audio on Terminator has been (maybe permanently) broken for a while now. And as for Mr. Six, I saw this LA Times article a week ago, and they said that it has no planned opening date at the moment.

I don't know if anyone's ever completely sponsored a paint job...but I know that in Vipers line (not sure if it's still there) it says something like, "See those colors flying by? That's the work of *paint company*." IDK if that little advertisement cut the costs out of the paint job for Viper or not, it's just something I've noticed. Although one could say that the advertisements on numerous Six Flags trains could pay off coaster paint jobs and other things...

To be even more fair, if it wasn't in their budget 8 months ago and they didn't have the paint yet, there was no way they were going to paint it. They did have the budget to paint some of it while it was closed though...maybe it came too late? Whatever, I really don't feel like getting into a debate on Knotts's paint budget.
