  1. The US does not have laws to protect someone in a civil suit. I know someone personally who broke a rib doing the Heimlich on someone and got sued. They lost, which is a sad statement.
  2. Yeah its been getting rough, but I always noticed lots of B&M rattle for a while now on Bull It was bad at the start of the year, got better in May. Then yesterday it was awful. Sad to see as well.
  3. I Will Survive for me as I indeed will survive the ride.
  4. You can also take them off on Giant Drop and put them in the end of the boat on Buccaneer Battle.
  5. Simply amazing the monorail is back up. Also surprised they were able to add sensors to the switch tracks this fast. Will be interesting to see how ridership is today.
  6. Went on July 5th and noticed the lack of enforcement of the loose item policy. Not only were the 2 employees at the entrance to Raging Bull not stopping anyone, the ride op was telling people to take all loose items with them. Seems to be a step back from the lockers. Also on Raging Bull, not sure if it was the track or the train, but the ride is getting rough. I was on the blue train and you could feel the B&M Rattle after the first trim.
  7. ^ Forgot to mention we would not be hitting the water park at all. Unless you can ride the water coaster in your street clothes
  8. ^ I had to do a double take on the Daft Punk and Kanye doing basically the same song. The track list looks fun and a good mix of old and new. Hopefully the ride is at least soft opening by August
  9. Got a question for those that have been to SFKK. Is the park worth a visit over a 4th day at Universal Studios FL? We are thinking about stopping on the way down or back, but unsure of if it is worth it. Thanks
  10. ^^^^ Just read that (and the entire 55 pages on that topic) and makes you wonder if there was just a communication error. Tragic all around. I will say, I am simply amazed at how safe the WDW Monorail is. Well over 3 billion riders over a period of almost 40 years and this is the first death. There can not be a single form of transportation safer then that.
  11. This was my first though when I saw the video. It simply amazed me he cared more about someone filming then, you know, trying to get help. Simply amazing. No, no, that's not what I meant. The cast member was absolutely in the right for shutting down the camera man! What I was saying is that it was terrible that he actually had to deal with that in the first place. The camera man wasn't there to "document" anything, he was there to get his video on the news, plain and simple. --Robb Sorry for the misquote Robb.
  12. ^I figured getting people away from the accident would take priority over stopping someone from filming.
  13. This was my first though when I saw the video. It simply amazed me he cared more about someone filming then, you know, trying to get help. Simply amazing. With the guy filming, I can't say I blame him. Some people think they can help by filming so there is documents of the accident. Not saying he did that here, but it could be the case. The one good thing is he did not sell the film and let the news media use it for free. The other positive is the video can be used for further training of the CM. Hopefully seeing what was done right and wrong there can help in future problems.
  14. Six Flags Great American - maybe tonight for an hour or 2 but for sure all day Wednesday
  15. A sad event all a around. It seems like there was a "perfect storm" of things going wrong. I truly wonder what changes will be made in light of this event.
  16. I only went for an hour today and it was just weird. We got there at 9 PM (we like to go near close) and the parking attendees told us the parks was closed. So we took the back entrance (under American Eagle) and the same guy let us it. I was amazed to see the ques at this point were already closed for Superman, Batman, Ragin Cajun and King Chaos (ride was closed.) Even more amazing was seeing a 4-5 cycle que line for Jester's Wild ride. We got 4 rides on American Eagle as the park, at least American Eagle, stayed open until 10:30. Not a bad night considering I only went there for a ride on Batman.
  17. The Nats did better against the AL east they have the whole year against the NL. Simply Amazing.
  18. ^ For the flumes, both have been a 30-45 minute wait this year since it has gotten warmer. If you stay til close, skip TDK until near close as they turn off the movie then. Have a great trip everyone!
  19. Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. Some points to what you mentioned - Ragin Cajun line is getting insane at this point afternoon until near close. Last night, when the parking lot was half to 3/4full, the line was well over an hour. Even the single rider line was taking 30 minutes. At close, it is still 15-30 minutes. Hit the ride early. - Dark Knight has been walk on near close every night this year. However, if you want to watch the pre-show, they turn it off an hour-half hour before close. - V2 and Batman both tend to be walk-on near close as well. V2 is getting near 90-120 minutes in the afternoon. - Hit Superman FIRST!!!! Even at close the ride has a 30-45 minute wait at best. Last night at around 7 pm, the line was 2 plus hours and completely filled the que.
  20. Yes Are the Beatles overrated?
  21. A few off the top of my head Viper - SF Great America V2 - SF Great America (only with the holding break off) Evel Knievel - SF STL Mr. Freeze - SF STL Raptor - Cedar Point Corkscrew - Cedar Point Diamondback - Kings Island Flight of Fear - Kings Island The Beast - Kings Island Raven - Holiday World Wild Thing - ValleyFair! Montu - Busch Garden Tampa
  22. Thing with Busch is it was an established park even before Universal moved in. It was the big scale thrill counterpart to Disney starting with Python. With Cypress Garden, the place has been dead for year. Even my first visit around 91 during spring break on a weekend (recently talked to my parents about this trip so it is fresh on my mind) the place was dead. Once Universal moved in, along with the already established Sea World and WDW, there was not much of a reason to travel outside that area. It is sad because even as a kid I enjoyed the place. The place just kept getting worse as we went in the 90's. With Legoland, they have the brand, but still have the huge issue of location. Not only would you have to advertise the place beyond belief, but also have to deal with hotels. You would have to convince the Disney area hotels to shuttle you there or strike a deal with a taxi company for cheap shuttle buses. Too many issues and would be best to just build in one of the other 2 locations.
  23. Not sure why Viper would need new trains to begin with. Although last night, after trying out the 3rd row from the post above (enjoyed it, but still like the back better for airtime) the bench cushion came up while ridding. I thought it was just me, but sure enough, it was loose and starting to come up upon checking.
  24. you can however see Chicago on a clear day from both the Giant Drop and Sky Trek Tower. The idea looks, um, interesting to say the least. Not my cup of tea, but should be a blast for others.
  25. ^^^^ The cell phone deal is just annoying everywhere. This year alone, I've seen done at all 6 major parks I've been to and all 4 parks with kiddie credits. It is just insane at the kiddie parks. The worst was Safari Land's go-kart operator was on the phone, as in taking a call with a friend, during a cycle. Glad nothing bad happened.
