Just wanted to post a thought on the WDW annual pass. We just bought our right before the price increase. The thing for us is, we would have loved to had a payment plan for them. I understand why they don't as people would pay the down payment and default from there. However, getting people to plunk down 499.50 (the price before the increase) a person is just hard to swallow. Staying off site, which is what we are doing, eliminates the payment option that people do have if getting the annual passes then. With the one day ticket's, I saw people today buying them at Animal Kingdom. So the price increase did not seem to make any of them made.

SFoG Questions
monsterfan99 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just went there today and the food deals were acutlly amazing for SF. Was 20 bucks for 2 chicken strip combos and a sports bottle. Not a bad price at all for a theme park. Also, whatever you do, do not miss Monster Mansion. It really was the high light of the day. I also like the Canyon Blaster way more then i had any right to. -
Went to the park today and I like the place. The simple fact that every single ride except the Road Runner Express was walk on is amazing. The park has so much potential, they just need to add adult rides. On the positive side, the carousel there might be my favorite carousel. I loved the old company logos. plus Greezed Lightin' was outstanding. On the negative side, T2 blows. It was worse then Iron Wolf or Son of Beast. Also, the ride-ops were beyond slow. It took them 5 plus minutes just to load BreakDance. Also, they were rejecting Flash Pass people due to low lines, but still selling them. Overall, i went to the park to just get the credits and liked the place. With some additions, I'd go back again.

What Do You Think Of Morgan
monsterfan99 replied to coasterfreaksrttd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only Morgan I have ridden is Wild Thing. The ride was fun and great for the park. The trains look great, I love the long and square look for them. Based on that ride alone, I'd love to ride the other Morgans. -
I'm going to Minneapolis
monsterfan99 replied to phazan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just made this trip in May, here is what I can tell you. Nick Universe - Well worth the time. The place is just fun and not a bad price. Three of the coasters are newer and very smooth. Also the Log Flume is not to be missed. Also, find a local Burger King for a $7 off a daily wristband coupon. You can not get the coupon at the Mall of America Burger King. If all else fails, there should be a coupon at welcome centers. ValleyFair - It took us a day in a half in late may to do the entire park minus some random flats. Whatever you do GO TO THE RUDY COLBY SHOW if it is still there. The guy is amazing. Como Town - Skip the place unless you are into credits. It was depressing to see the animals there in cages that looked very small. You can tell the workers and the town care (were over 20k there opening weekend when we went.) Just not worth it to me. -
Andy Shine's Quiz Time

11/20, did well until the half way point. I also got Robb as a choice on 3 questions. -
How many more big names will go down in the 03 PED reports? Also, the Pirates are running out of players even hardcore baseball fans know. I'm down to 5 players I know on the team and only know two of them because they were former Nats. And go anyone playing against the Cubs, Yankees or Red Sox!!! If someone listened to ESPN, those 3 teams and Manny would be the only part of MLB a person would know. I'm just hoping the Cardinals take the NL Central and someone from the NL West takes the wildcard to knock the Cubs out before the playoffs.

I can not swim, so no Have you ever owned a Slinky Jr?

I think that this is a good balance; no point on having it on during the day if it's busy, but if it's not at night, why let it go to waste? Oh it is running all day as well. They just used to have it off only near closing. One other thing, the family of skunks struck again tonight. Their victims were the Demon station and que, Orbit area and Whizzer station.

While not an awful idea, I just have to question how this helps Six Flags. Unless Flip is paying ad money or for the Flash Pass cost, this just seems really out of left field. I'm also not sure how many people who own a flip camera and are not season pass holders are going to go for this. This would have them pay parking, admission and then expect others who go with to also buy a Flash Pass all for a Flash Pass. Guessing it is the basic, that would be a savings of what, 30 bucks at best. On top of that, like Robb said, it will lead to even more on ride POV. I've seen those stupid flip cameras on way too many coaster this year already.

Hey, I can help with some info 1. No flash pass style system at the park. However, if you have a park or cedar Fair season pass, you can get in early. 2. Firehawk and Invertigo had long lines when I went in may. Other advice is ride ride The Beast at night for your first ride and try to ride Diamondback at both day and night. 5. Have fun. The park is outstanding and just beautiful to look at.

^ I'm with you on it not being bad at all. You felt it but not much. Now Raging Bull's trim... -
Some advice to those that use the Flash Pass. Last night, the line for Demon's Flash Pass was a good 15 minutes and 60-70 people deep. Be sure to check out the Flash Pass before reserving. Also they are now showing the Dark Knight movie near closing. Earlier this year, they had been turning it off to get people through the ride.

The worst was a side trip to Grady's Family Fun park in Bloomington, IL. We stop in just to ride their Dragon Wagon. Well, after 45 minutes of the girl working the front desk calling people, including the owner on vacation, to find out if adults can ride we got on. From there, she had to call for help to take a credit card to ride. We finally got on and did not fit right. So the teen ride-op, confused as hell, let us ride sideways as the employees were laughing at us. All and all, was a good way to waste 75 minutes.

I've got a few questions for those that go to the park often. 1. Is Pengiun's Blizzard River still down? The website says it is, but it is not always updated. 2. How does the Flash Pass system work there. I saw it was only $10, so I was not sure if it was a ticket style or q-bot. 3. What show is in the Thrill Park Theater right now? Is it a regular movie, 3-d or 4-d? 4. We only plan to be at the park Sunday from opening until around 3-4 pm. So what order should we do the coasters to get them in at least once. T2, the wild mouse and Roller Skater will be just one ride each for the credit.

Cedar Point or Universal Studios
monsterfan99 replied to Sain4847's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Larrygator is right on comparing the parks for your family. Plus, the two really are a comparing apples to oranges type deal. I went to Cedar Point this year and Universal Studios Florida in 2001. With this being a family trip, I'd say take Universal. Cedar Point does have some great family style things to do but Universal truly does have something for everyone. So if there is a family member that does not like rides that much, there are many shows and just a fun atmosphere to the park. The one thing about Universal is how interested in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter your family is. If that is something that would be high on your families priority list, you might consider Universal next year when it is done. No matter which place you choose, you will have a great time. Both parks are worth a trip and provide a lot of great memories. -
Advice on doing Six Flags Over Georgia in 6 hours
monsterfan99 replied to monsterfan99's topic in Ask Alvey
Main reason is cost. My fiancee let me get WDW season passes, so any extra cost on a flash pass is out of the question according to her. We also plan to head back there next year, we just wanted to make a stop on the way down to FL to break-up the driving. If we miss anything, no biggie. Just wanted to hit as much as we can. -
hey everyone. I am looking to hit Six Flags over Georgia for about 6 hours on August 3rd. I will be there opening til around 4:30ish. We are then driving to FL that night, so we have to be out by them. I am looking for advice on how to fit the following into a day without the flash pass(wouldn't be worth it for 6 hours.) - All 10 coasters - Monster mansion - The park's train - The Park's Sky Ride - Hanson Car's - Carousel Is it possible to do these all in 6 hours? We planned to run to Superman first due to just how awful the ride is with loading people. We also planned to hit the train and sky buckets last as they seem like they would have little to no wait. Any advice I can get will help. Thanks
