Which Coaster Is Smoother?
DonkeyBreath replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Imo I think it all depends on the parks maintence take B:TR for instance it can be a very smooth intense ride, but if it's in need of a rehab it can be down right rough. Just like SROS at SFNE in 2003 I rode it and it rattled like crazy, I went again in 2004 and it was very smooth. So Imo it's up to the parks maintence to keep it as smooth as when the ride first opened. Also I don't think Intamin can be blamed for Flashback since it's not their ride they just sold it, it's actually manufactured by Giovanola. I've also ridden Colossus and I didn't find it rough at all, I thought it was actually pretty amazing and imo 100% better then a B&M looper. Again I believe the reports of roughness is because the park isn't maintaining it like they should. So imo if the parks are rehabing like they should then you should not get a rough ride from an B&M or Intamin. -
I thought located near something big and blue ment it was located in the same lot the Screamin Swing is in, the top of the swing is big and blue and some of it is under a big blue tarp. IMO the wood is for the Screamin Swing Station and/or probably a wooden fence.

La Ronde Discussion Thread
DonkeyBreath replied to Skyscraper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I finally got the video to download somewhat, it's very slow. The video isn't of LaRondes Hyper though it's SFGADv Nitro. I happen to like SFMM Goliath Mrs. Alvey LaRonde/SFOG Hyper jr. Looks to be major Airtime Machines, I just hope B&M doesn't feel the need to slap trims all over the place. -
Cedar Point vs. Magic Mountain
DonkeyBreath replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I agree 100% SpartanTS gave an unbiased opinion yet has a CP avatar hanging in the background I just find that funny Anways I'll take SFGADv over both of them, but since this topic is about CP vs. SFMM I'll take SFMM -
If you could change a coaster.
DonkeyBreath replied to Supermilk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd shoot an invisable ray at SFMM so SFMM bashers couldn't even see it, then watch them cry because they would have nothing to Bit*h about Seriously I would remove the OTSRs from Rev, have a new event night at SFMM called Bon Fire Nights using Psyclone as the fuel for the bon fire. I would removed the trim off the first drop of Mantis and have the same event at CP Bon Fire Nights using Mean Streak Again Bon Fire Nights at PKI using SOB and then add a Intamin/B&M or both in it's place -
Cedar Points Coasters
DonkeyBreath replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There are only two coasters at CP that I feel is better then what SFMM has and that's MF and TTD other then that I'll take SFMM coasters over CP anyday. If anything IMO I feel SFGADv has the best line up of coasters outta CP and SFMM. Also Rob not trying to sound rude or anything but I just have to ask...Why do you live in So.Cal if you like nothing about it. You seam to not like the state nor any of it's amusement parks so why are you here. Seams to me you'd be happier somewhere on the eastcoast or over seas. I'm not trying to be rude or get on your bad side I'm just asking It just reminds me of the SFMM bashers that claim to hate the park so much, the park is such a hell hole, etc, etc, but yet they keep going back ...why if it'so bad.. why do you keep going back. -

NEWS: Snyder's New Plans For Six Flags!!!

LMAO that's exactly what i'm scared would happen with Snyder in control...Red Zones Sponsorship Mountain -
Well after taking the wording of the site plans into consideration, it could still possible be a resort on the way. Newhall is about selling the land to developers not actual development themselves, so that 454 acres has been or will be sold in parcels or as a whole to who ever wants to buy it. The site plans say... Residential (place for employees to live) recreational (many things/i.e employee picknic area) Hospitality ( Sounds like a hotel to me) retail business ( shopping like an outlet mall) This is typical of a Kalahari resort. I don't see them placing a Kalahari in CA. but something similar is a possiblility with that wording. I don't know guess well just have to wait and see what happens hopefully in SFMM favor.

"If the ride has a dual station then only half of those "crank axle" sort of things are on site. I'm pretty sure there is one on each side of the train" They all must not be on site yet, because the switch track for the dual stations is on site. I believe the site is for both the relocation of the p-lot and backlot for future expansion of the park. Also for a new hotel to directly serve SFMM customers. Just think SFMM don't have to many more options for expansion and with Tatsu going in, it's the perfect time for SF to be thinking about room for future expansion. IMO I can only see maybe one or two more coasters going in the park unless they start removing things or do a Black pool type of creative shoehorning job. I'm thinking the next in park coaster will probably run that narrow strip of land starting from B:TR heading down behind Riddler and psyclone/grave yard area. Other then that I can't see to many other areas in the park where a new coaster could go without removing things or buidling on top of things. Also moving the P-lot gives SFMM the room to expand HH also, so I do hope that plot of land SFMM golden ticket to major expansion for the future.

NEWS: Snyder's New Plans For Six Flags!!!
DonkeyBreath replied to ScOtT k's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes Mr.Six stays as does the looney Tunes I love them both I agree with everything in DATman's post, except Fly at the speed of fear I like that. He wants to raise Parking prices ...ummm like $10 isn't enough I though going to an amusement park was suppose to be an escape, why would you want credit card, cable and cell phone reps/ads in your face at an amusement park. You get enough of that crap on TV, radio, mall/shopping centers, and the mail. So why would anyone want that to be part of an amusement park visit. I don't know this Snyder guy has me unsure if he is the right one to do this job of turning SF around. Yes SF needs to make big changes to the way they operate from top to bottom, I'm just not so sure this Snyder guy is the way to go.
