  1. Well, even after Season Pass day @ SFOG, I still have a nice slate of parks coming up. I'm heading up to Dollywood for their awesome Christmas displays and Thunderhead (oh yea, ACE event, but no buffet ) I will be at Camp Snoopy sometime during the Thanksgiving week since we are heading up to visit my uncle for the holiday. December might bring me SF Over Texas, though that one's not confirmed. In January or February I'll probably go down to Florida at least once. I love Universal .. and by the time that's all said and done, it will be March and SFOG will open up again! - Joe, who doesn't believe in the term "off season" and prefers "slow season"
  2. hehe.. that's the same cause of my broken phone
  3. "yea, well go tell this cigarette to shut the hell up"
  4. I'm willing to guess that LaRonde doesn't get major foot traffic and they will do fine with 2 trains. Heck, at just over 4000 feet, they would stack three undoubtedly. Joe says: "Yay for SFOG not having the shortest B&M hyper anymore!"
  5. That sounds like a funny shirt, but I'll still take the "I went Down" Oblivion shirts with the logo pointed, um, down!
  6. I chose Republican even though I am on that Republican/Libertarian line, so 'other' was tempting as well. Scott, you know how much I love politics
  7. I just threw my phone against the wall and it broke into three pieces eh, who would've guessed - Joe, that will cost me a good chunk of change
  8. LOL! I forgot about the photos they posted of Nitro..err.. Goliath already in action!
  9. They are a circular ride with "tubs" attached to the center support frame by cables. A few different companies make them.. here are the older Bisch Rocco models
  10. Sorry I missed that - Will do!
  11. If run correctly they can be a blast. Knoebels, Carowinds and Hershey all have fun sets, and I'm sure the wind-aided ones at IB are awesome too... but some of them can be kinda lame for various reasons (the Lake and Kings Domion, for example). Just completly terrifying rides on the good sets
  12. Awesome idea Ted. - Joe "Damn why didn't I think of that" oh well my site will have some nicely unique things as well. Should I email you whenever I post an update to my site regarding Goliath?
  13. "I'm gonna go draw boobs on the etch-a-sketch" "Go ahead, they always come out square"
  14. Tryin' to learn ColdFusion... and having trouble connecting to the database grrrr Up all night with this *crap*
  15. are you being serious or do you think the person in the carousel photo is her? If the first part... thank you If the second part... very funny
  16. That's probably why my ride in the middle of the second row gave the best air, we sat in the big boy seats. That makes sense, I kinda wondered why the air was best in the middle of the train to me.
  17. Here is my review, copied from another site verbatim: Half of the reason of driving 480 miles to Tampa was to conquer SheiKra, America's first B&M dive coaster (or Vekoma flying dutchman, depending on what merchandise you are looking at ). Getting to Tampa the night before, I drove around near the park and caught a glimpse of the ride, and I couldn't wait for morning to come so I could ride. Accompanied by Larrygator, we picked the first row on our first ride, and I expected it to be the place to be. Well, that first ride was a disapointment. The holding brake did little for me, and I still have trouble believing that the ride is 200' tall. Whatever, the ride could overcome that, correct? Well, not in this case. The immelman was kinda dull since it didn't seem too forcefull from the front and the drops were just "good". Probably a 7 at best from the front, but by now you see that I have given it an 8. This comes after three more rides, two in row #2 and a thrid in the back row. These rows both provided considerable airtime on the drops, especially the first drop in the middle row. Not the best out there but good for a coaster with OTSRs. There are some nice positive Gs in the immelman from the back rows, and a weird weightlessness from the right side of the train going through the Immelman. The water effect is really cool to me, though even in the far side of the back row, I barely got wet (more of a mist). Its fun to see the huge "rooster tails" (I think that's what they were called) and the kids getting soaked at the end of the pool. Overall, a nice ride with some neat and unique experiences, but not something to throw in my top 10. Also, I don't usually try to brag, but I took some damn good photos of the ride that can be found here:
  18. It takes you 8 hours to get to orlando? Wow.. I must drive fast or you live in the suburbs (not actually downtown)
  19. Somewhere around 45-60 minutes for Mr. Six, though I didn't mind that as much as the hour and a half I waited for POS that is Italiab Job
  20. Wally kicks ass!!! I wish my daddy took me to Hooters as a young'en...
  21. The Skooters (what would normally be referred to as "bumper cars" if I dare throw such an insult at a set of Lusse's) at Knoebels are one of the greatest rides I've ever been on. I like them better than 98% of coasters I've been on, they just kick so much ass!!! edit: go to Knoebels
  22. I said Cedar Point. As much as I personally thing the place is just "ok", its one of those places that I feel all coaster enthusiasts must visit at least once. Hershey or Great Adventure would be nice choices as well, and if you're looking for wood... Knoebels probably is the place to be.
