  1. Quite frankly I haven't opened the thread until now, because I expected to see the same stuff you posted on Facebook. Oh and the fact that I'm busy as shi ite
  2. I'm 90% sure he was joking. I realize he may have been trying to make a joke, and that's why Robb has these It helps prevents people from misinterpreting other people's posts and looking stupid.
  3. Thank you for shedding light on this growing chain. I'm completely bewildered whenever I hear of a new park or installation with this chain. Do you happen to have these locations all plotted on a map?
  4. Directions should be on the MTA website, mta.info They also offer a ticket that includes transportation and all rides.
  5. Where is the proof it was going to shoot fire? Sounds like just wildly inaccurate and whiny post from lightning loops.
  6. How can you say something is the best if you haven't ridden it? Doing such is foolish and inaccurate. Yes, foolish. If everyone just went to Mitch's Poll and listed the highest rated Intamin and the highest rated B&M what would that prove.
  7. There is still one at Skyline Park (Germany)
  8. Thanks Dave, I saw your report and added some of these last night
  9. Are you looking at this week? Normally I would say Sunday, but Mother's Day can get crowded at SFGAdv as they sometimes run promotions on Mother's Day to bring mom for free, which in turn brings out families. I don't know if they are running that promotion for Season Passholders this year. Why not Friday, don't you think Friday would be better because people are at work? Yes, I implied Friday when I said not to go this Sunday
  10. And Kennywood's historic rides are their own, Knoebels has rescued and restored many of their classics. Another place with some old classics is Rye Playland

  12. ^Thank you for the pictures that I added to the Park Index and the info on the Toboggan. I didn't realize it had closed.
  13. I think it is a great idea. People of certain body heights do take a bit of abuse in the neck area from the hard restraints so a little padding can only make it better.
  14. It sounds like you are getting to the park at opening to maximize your visit. With only 6 hours, your ride order should be based on your priorities. And if you have never been to the park ride the best coaster first. As a huge Intamin fan, you should ride SkyRush first, then Fahrenheit, then Storm Runner. Get those three completed ASAP in case something happens (weather, unexpected crowds, breakdowns). Then worry about the rest. I would hit up Great Bear, SuperDooperLooper (and possibly) Comet next to complete the major coasters on that side of the park before heading to Lightning Racer. I left out Sidewinder, Wild Mouse, Wildcat and family/kiddie coasters because if you are forced to skip coasters those are of lowest quality. Don't even think of riding them before you get the best out of the way. Expect Laff Track to have a longer line than necessary as it is new, if i was you I wouldn't prioritize it.
  15. Tom, I certainly think the whole trip is doable (but difficult). The only concern, which others have brought up, is the traffic getting into and out of the Indy500. Good luck in stating a new job when you are done with the trip.
  16. The test dummies look a lot more "professional" than their cousins in the US
  17. NO THIS IS NOT TRUE! There is no fun to be had on those two coasters
  18. This is very similar to this topic: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63981&hilit=defunct Please use that one. Thanks.
  19. Another vote for the old Coney Island parks. I've always been fascinated with Steeplechase Park
  20. Oh come on Chuck, I "broke" this exclusive news on TPR when it was announced
  21. That would draw over 20 million people to the park, probably too many.
  22. Maybe she has never been to those two parks
  23. I'm a big fan of Cyclone Sam's also.
