Excuse my bluntness, but do you have a medical condition that causes you to post in your own unique style?

Phantasialand Discussion Thread

I don't recall a lot of people expecting it to be a maverick killer. I don't recall the park promoting it as such. Some locals might have been hoping for such. Most of the buzz was around the compactness, interactions and intricate themeing being added to a multi-launch coaster. -

Let's hope this is the beginning of brighter days for Lightning Rod! So I'm still not 100% sure what technical ride rehearsal means for me if I go tomorrow... I'm feeling dumb Technical ride rehearsal, means it will be open at times but can shut down at any time without notice. Basically if you get to ride treat it as a bonus. -

David - I've only been to Rye Playland three times in my life (all in the past 10 years) and never experienced a crowd like TPR members described in 2008. Maybe it just doesn't faze me spending so much time in Manhattan/Brooklyn at night. I've seen rougher crowds on summer weekend visits to SFA and SFGAdv -

Wow. That's so tempting it might actually get us to visit this sh*t hole. The place gets a bad rap for the coasters, but the cheesy dark rides alone make it worth the price. The best (most violent Whip) in the country. The Derby Racer. They also have decent bumper cars, probably the hardest hitting non-Lusse ones I've been on. All rides I've mentioned are more fun than the coasters. -

Laura - you are getting old? After losing your memory you are going to start complaining about coasters being too rough. -
I think a smaller one would work great! Give the tower a brown paint scheme, theme the heck out of it and it would be a winner! You guys are missing the point of SDC. This is not a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park. Would you ask if Disneyland was going to add a starflyer? No you wouldn't. Use the same thinking when asking "Would SDC add..." here because that's usually the same case Okay... would Disneyland build the world's only wood coaster with inversions? I guess by your logic they would. It would fall into the "one of a kind experience" that I am talking about Look if you want to be an @$$hole you're going to find an exception but for the most part SDC doesn't just install cookie cutter rides and that's what a lot of the posters have been suggesting. Besides Outlaw Run, let's look at SDC's last 3 non-kiddie rides added. Would Disneyland add an S&S Shot Tower? Would Disneyland add a SplashBattle? Would Disneyland add a Giant Swing? You've been temporarily banned before due to your antagonistic attitude towards others who that don't agree with you, so please drop the name calling.

Exactly this, to my understanding (as I've seen it reiterated many times when this comes up). Whipping is a separate issue that can cause damage, and effective snapping techniques don't require it. The fact that some employees (or a single longtime employee?) are known to discourage or disallow snapping seems unrelated. Some of the ride operators don't know the difference either. -
