^OK, I can't confirm with certainty the time I rode it on my previous trip, but Medusa was open before noon on Sunday, April 27th. I really wasn't paying attention to it all Sunday morning, but did see it running with passengers, while I was waiting on the Kingda Ka platform with cfc, WillMontu and ErikJohnson.

Six Flags First Quarter Revenue up 35%
larrygator replied to Evan1127's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
HaHa - I bought more stock a couple of days before the announcement. If the stock increases another 70 cents I'll be at a break even point. The main driver of the increased revenue is more operating days in Q1 in 2008 versus 2007. I believe SFFT, SFoT, SFoG and SFDK all had more operating days in March 2008. Regarding food prices - I had the best double twist churro at SFGAdv this weekend for $3.49 and I will gladly buy one ever time. I can also eat the cheesy bread at Papa Johns for less than $4. I never have a desire to eat a big meal when I'm at the park. The roasted corn at SFFT is also a great reaonably priced snack. The prices for food at Six Flags parks are in line with the majority of other entertainment venues. -
Trenton (for the Trenton Tunder years ago) Somerset Patriots Staten Island Yankess Wilkes Barre Red Barons (years ago) I still need to get to a brooklyn Cyclones game. I love the Staten Island Yankees (Rookie League), because I like rooting for the underdog (only 10% of these guys will ever make the majors). My favorite stadium was Lackawanna (sp?) where the Red Barons played. Great setting, fun times.

I've only been to about a dozen minor league games (4 different stadiums) but the between innings contests, laid back crowds, close to the action seating and family friendly atmosphere kick bootie.

Boylan's is my favorite root beer available on the East Coast. They have great cream soda, also.

I'd just like to point out the Native Americans have as much respect for land and animal as anyone who has walked the earth. Personally I have no problem with people choosing what to eat, but don't want my food tortured before I eat. Circle of life baby. However, personally I have an extremely finicky palette. I can not eat food if I do not like the taste and texture. Lots of fruit, vegetables and many meats I can not tolerate. My mouth just spits it right out. Whether it be a cheap hot dog, bad cut of meat, kethcup or a leafy vegetable. (I would have never survived on Fear Factor). That's just how my body has been conditioned. What I find to be more contradcitory is people who will do anything to protect animal life but don't respect human life in the same manner. But that is a bigger debate that is dividing the world today. and Jay - you forgot to mention how much you miss cheesestaeks.

^Come on Scott. Forms of entertainment outside of amusement parks are free to charge whatever they want for food and drinks Thanks for posting this - I love minor league ball. I haven't gone to a major league game in 5 years but I'll support the minor leaguers.

Whip at BPB finally being dismantled

To add to Robb's comment, they are still common on the East Coast of the US as the ones at HersheyPark, Camden Park and Rye Playland are also still in operation. In my opinion, the one at Rye Playland gives the best "Whipping" action coming out of those turns. -
I rode Medusa at about 11:30 last Saturday, 4/12/08

Great Adventure bus information

I get pissed off with people who have a need to talk about themselves constantly.

Because Americans are a spoiled lot and have an air of entitlement. While I love America I don't love the unrealistic attitudes of many of my fellow Americans.

Luckily you will miss Thursday 5/15 which is Physics Day at CP. I would try to include Friday based on Paul comment about the operating hours. I've been there on a Friday night in mid-May and the crowds are not that bad. Don't forget to bring a sweatshirt/light jacket as it can get quite windy off the lake at night in May.

A low to the ground tri-track roller coaster themed after stock-car racing will be part of this land. This part caught my eye. "Tri-track"???? Like Steeplechase????? -
The Sky Ride at Hersheypark 1974-1992
larrygator replied to Ccron10's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why would they put a sign up after the ride has been closed for years? I can't say for certain, but COMMON SENSE tells me the sign is not new. -

^^huh? What is your question? Are are asking if HP put up an exit sign on the interior of a ride station years after the ride closed? -
The SF turnaround is in full effect this season. I was at SFGAdv on Saturday and this looks a lot closer to the existing management team's vision of customer service. Staff was more attentive and friendly. More security was present, and in front of queues instructing people of the locker policy. Although some of the lockers did not operate properly. Locker policy made for quicker dispatches (now if teens would just learn how to tie their kicks). Many of the "Bring a Friend" free (or discounted) passes in the coupon book are limited to Monday - Friday
