I assume you you have the Cedar Fair Pass. If so why not drive from Chicago to King's Island and get KI out of the way before CP? That might save you a little time in not having to back track. The benefit is that you might be able to get to HP a couple of hours earlier on August 2nd and you can then take advantage of their preview special. If you buy your tickets on August 2nd you can enter the park 2 hours before it closes. Also, if you do the preview plan save your parking receipt because paying for preview special parking is also good for that next full day.

All coasters will shut down if severe lightning storms are in the area. Lightning is un predictable.

Bill - Maybe I missed something, why does Jack want to go back. Are you saying this because now he knows Claire is his sister? I think he wants to go back more because of overall survivor guilt. OK - here is my question. Do any of the non-Oceanic passengers besides Ben get off the island in the end: Charlotte, Miles, Farrady or Desmond. Nobody knows any of them are on the island so does anyone think it is possible that they get back to civilization also.

Horrible Park Operations
larrygator replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a toss-up between Mount Olympus and SFA for all the reasons people have stated already. I'll pick MtO because no one seemed to care, at least I've encountered some good employees at SFA. -
Taking ON-Ride Pov's
larrygator replied to kingdakafan33's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17014 Please review this thread. Many parks do not allow POVs and mounting a camera to a ride is not something the parks allow just anyone to do without permission. THREAD LOCKED -
DID YOU KNOW?
larrygator replied to coasterfreak81's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did you know that Walt Disney World was originally considered for St. Louis, not Orlando. -
I just visited both parks on Saturday May 10th. S:ROS was running two trains from opening until I left the park at 4PM. I was told that it has been running like that all season. Lake Compounce only opened for the season last Saturday and was running one train all day, but crowds were light. If you happen to get to SFNE at opening (which is highly recommended but might be tough with your drive) you can try to do Lake Compounce in the same day, Lake Compounce has an after 5PM special ($17.95). I made the drive between the two parks in less than an hour last week.

Erik - I know the music was in keeping with the Dollywood atmosphere but it absolutely killed me. It must be a Florida thing since Will's choice of Styx (while appropriate) also made me want to shove a mini replica of the Empire State Building into my skull. I absolutely loved the first half of The Hoodie: The Movie. If it could have maintained its momentum throughout the whole 5 minutes it would have been the Dwight Howard of this year's contest. Still it is one of my top choices right now.

C in my opinion with all the typos, grammar problems. As hemmy said you really need to proofread it and then read it out loud to someone. Making those corrections will be the difference between grades. EDIT: I didn't realize the writer was 17 when I gave the original grade, I thought he was younger.

Old parts that have been removed from trains or coasters by maintenance are sometimes sold at enthusiast events.

Photo Trip Report: Rye Playland Opening Day May 10, 2008
larrygator replied to milst1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
What is the cost for parking at Rye this year? Also, is the Derby Racer actually racing again or do the horses remain stationary as they did last year? -

^^The only way to know for certain would be to ask one of them. However, being that it was a Lancaster (where Amich are clustered) and a horse and buggy is being used (in lieu of a car) there is a strong likelihood that they are Amish. -
^^The term is non-vegetarian

Coaster trip to east coast and more - ADVICE PLEASE!
larrygator replied to riddler67's topic in Ask Alvey
Kennywood = great traditional parks with very good (and unique) flats. Also, Phantom's revenge is better than any coaster at Kings Island King's Island is good if you want to boost your coaster count and ride mediocre coasters. -
^Yes, I forgot that he assembled the team. Do you recall if this character's name ever actually mentioned on the show?

A question about the bald dark skinned guy who was wheeled John arounf after rehab and also tried to visit Hurley in the future at the pyscho ward. Do you think he works for Ben's Group or Widmore? The whole "time" issue with the Losties finding the doctor's body before he was killed is confusing me. Sorry, I'm not very good at comprehending sci-fi theories.

Theme Park Review Podcast?
larrygator replied to coasterboi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree about the behind the scenes interviews and tours. Any unique content that can not be found elsewhere would work for me. Anyone can act like a foolish and joke around in front of a camera, although Robb and friends experts in that area. -

^I didn't actually edit that post just hit the wrong button, trying to make a quote. Sorry about that. I was going to make a joke about how small a "gram" cracker would be, but I did it wrong.
