Your PTR has been added to the Theme Park Review Park Index, thank you for provided pictures of a "new" park. BTW - Do you have any photos of their kiddie coaster (Rainbow Chaser)?

I appreciate the Beaver Tail shout out. I hope you enjoyed it.

FYI - Last year Robb switched jobs and with his professional expertise he was able to leverage the flex time needed to sustain his coaster habit/hobby/business. Many people on the trips might act like buffoons at times in front of the camera. However, as Matt just stated, many of us are hard working professionals established in our fields who have earned or negotiated a little extra vacation time.

For someone who criticizes others for not being adventurous in food choices, you ate at Mickey D's quite a bit. -
TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index
larrygator replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Robb - I hope you don't mind if I jump in. Remember everyone this is a work in progress. Over the past few days we realized many of the "New for 2008 coasters" were not populated in the database. This has been resolved for any coasters where pictures reside within PTRs submitted by TPR members. Thanks and enjoy -

SFGAdv Fall Crowds?

^, ^^ and ^^^ I agree with them -
I'm not sure when you were last there. In a previous year I had to go to guest relations, but this year my SFGAdv season pass scanned with no problem. gk - I found it very easy to drive to the park from New York. Much easier than trying to drive into the center of Montreal. But you should make sure you have proper directions and know a few key words in French to read road signs. Sud - South Nord = North Est = East Ouest = West Someone correct me if I'm wrong here with my French. Just be prepared for the border police to look at you funny and question you when you tell them you are going to Montreal to visit LaRonde. They do not understand to lure of roller coasters to enthusiasts.

You win a prize! Well not really unless Robb sends you a special bag-o-crap. I think this is the only US park with more than one coaster that was missing from the TPR Park Index. -

Ummm...am I missing something here? When does someone need to note that they can count to 112?? Maybe it is new personal record? I'm talking about the number of gummy bears in one bag. -

Pizza Burger, pfffft! Croque Monsters were the way to go, if you wanted to just inject cholesterol into your bloodstream. OK, it is really called a Croque Monsieur, but calling it a Croque Monster was much more fun. -
Your parking pass should work, i used my SFGAdv parking pass there a couple of months ago. Instead of exchanging cash and paying a crazy exchange rate I used an ATM at the park to get a better rate. Or at least I think it was a better rate. I really enjoyed the selection of flat rides offered at LaRonde. maybe it is because the coaster selection outside of Goliath and Vampire is poor. Although the indoor coaster is better than average. And buy a Beaver Tail - the best fried dough creation at any amusement park.

The waffles and walk-through haunted house were both top notch. However, the next best thing at the park was the Wacky Worm. But as Ginzo said it was 100% better than spending 2 hours at a rest area on the highway. -
Traveling from South Carolina to New York...

I would certainly recommend the two parks you suggested. FYI - Clementon is not only a short drive from the NJ Turnpike (but not recommended for your time or money) Dorney is about an hour west of your route. Your route is likely to take to right past Coney Island (Astroland and Deno's). If you can stand a little pain on top of your sorrow, the Cyclone is worth sampling. -

Europa is a wonderful and clean park. I have no idea how they keep it so clean, I do not recall seeing a single person picking up trash all day yet the place was immaculate. I was surprised that so many people would just hang out in the fountains fully clothed and that the park would allow it. -

^^^We do look upset. We probably looked emo because the real fountain show was going on and there were no kids running through the fountain hurting themselves at this time. Seriously most of us had a blast sitting up there. It was initially a group of about 10 people and we probably had half the TPR at one time. That Hotel was a blast. -
Maybe quality is not the correct term. Well over half your posts are in the random forum in threads like "This or That" and "Yes or No". The Title Fairy likes to see more posts about coasters and parks.

"Emo Group", I think not. We were having a great time watching kids run through the fountain with play-by-play commentary and laughing our butts off whenever a kid fell and had to be carted off the field. -
^I believe you need 150 quality posts, you still have plenty more to go. But that is up to the Title Fairy to decide.

Many people on the trip felt this way but not EVERYBODY.
