Ever Thought Your Teacher Was Cute or Sexy?
larrygator replied to ash.1111's topic in Random, Random, Random
Looks like I'm in the minority. None of my teachers were hot, sexy or even cute. None, Nada, Zippo, Bupkis, Goose Egg -
With the park's permission, in many instances Robb mounts a lipstick cam (with a lot of duct tape) to the front of cab. Although when Robb does have a camera securely taped to his hand it is amazing how steady he can keep it.

^Every one can't be a professional photographer. -
^If we are going to get nit picky - Alton Towers in the only essential park in the UK. Blackpool - Steeplechase, Mild Mouse and great dark rides are the highlight of a park with a lot of mediocre coasters Thorpe - Good coaster line-up for the UK, but too few flats to complement. Chessington - Dragon's Fury is awesome and a fun shooting dark ride. The atmosphere is great but the flats are completely hit or miss after Billy's Whizzer. Oakwood - OK coasters, some well run flats and an insanely hysterical dark ride.

That would be all the essential parks.

^You bring new meaning to the term Sad and Pathetic. I would also like to thank all the peeps who thanked me via PM for calling Big Mike out on bending his words and stretching the truth. I think the word fraud was mentioned a couple of times. Your defintiion of "LOCK" should have been clearly caveated if it was only a lock if one teased the bet. I have never seen an expert proclaim a lock bet with a teaser proposition to the general population.

The utter lack of water rides is quite odd. What I think is even odder is that this park does not have a night time special. A lot of people go to Myrtle Beach for the beach. However, since HRP is a couple of miles from the beach I would think families might be more likely to consider a night time trip to the park after leaving the beach if the price was lower.

It appears that Angela forgot to tell you to get the "Cheese on a Stick" with Blue Birch Beer. The Mexican food, while not traditional is at least tasty and cheap. Personally I'll take DelGrosso's pizza (the best at any park) over Cesari's any day. -

The photo quality on he China trip has gone downhill. It is appalling. Hanno needs to go on every TPR Trip. Seriously, keep up the good work you sure are getting these mini-updates posted in record time. -
2008 Golden Tickets
larrygator replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Keep in mind that people can interpret the meaning differently when selecting a park: Some might pick Knoebels based on selection, quantity, quick service and price versus a park with better quality. -
2008 Golden Tickets

While the poll is far from perfect, this year Amusement Today did make great strides in reaching out to coaster/amusement park enthusiasts who visit parks around the world. Yes, a lot of the same winners from 2007 won again in 2008. I don't have last year's results but would be curious if the gaps are any closer. Does anyone have this info. This year's ballot included more choices in certain categories but I still found myself writing in quite a few choices. In hopes that if a couple of people write in certain attractions/rides they may be included as a choice in future years. My guess is that including more international travelers did not have an impact on winners in the end because the international experts spread their selections across less popular choices. -

I only paid $32 for that shirt, they gave me the 40% discount. However, it cost me $1,600 in Atlantic City. It is not a lucky shirt. So much for all my winnings over the past 3 weekends. -

Thank you for this PTR. It has been added to the TPR Park Index. http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/page.php?pageid=440 If you have PTRs for other Brazilian (or South American) parks we would love to add them to the Park Index pages. TPR readers enjoy seeing new parks. thanks again -

I'll be there on Saturday with cfc, the master of the PTR. Any non-pyscho season pass holder want to meet up and save us money?
