It isn't really the councils who decide on this matter, as the transit company's are independent from the council/government. So they can charge as much as they like. And as you can't drive until your 17, they are obviously going to take advantage of the fact that people my age who need to get about need to use public transport. And it took me two hours on buses to get home last night, I got home at midnight. And the film I saw wasn't even that good. But I still had a good night with friends, which sort of spoils the 'rant' of it ---------------- Now playing: Feeder - Fires via FoxyTunes

^^ Sorry I think I should re-word that; Manufactured talent. I think what makes Hannah Montana so annoying is the fact that she isn't successful through talent, but through obtrusive advertising telling us that she is talented, when in fact, there are a lot more talented people out there who aren't nearly as successful. But that's life I suppose. ---------------- Now playing: Feeder - Tracing Lines via FoxyTunes

My green light bulb! My halogen light bulb! There was a random "art cube" in Newcastle. So I took a photo of it Tree! Leaf! Daisy! Daffodil! Personally my favourite photo. I want to get better at photography, so at the moment I am experimenting and taking lots of photos of different things. Feel free to add me on Flickr and view my photostream. ---------------- Now playing: Feeder - We Are People via FoxyTunes

Microbes That Eat Garbage, Excrete Crude Oil
ChrisCrowder replied to raptorcrew2002's topic in Random, Random, Random
As we are fast approaching running out of oil, I think that it is worth the investment, as long as this is experimented with under controlled conditions. At the end of the day, we need oil, fast. ---------------- Now playing: Feeder - Silent Cry via FoxyTunes -
Arghh please somebody stop this craze! It is really annoying me. She has no talent, but the media are going crazy over her as if she does. Please somebody tell me that they have seen the South Park where they sacrifice Britney Spears, and at the end, they decide that Hannah Montana is next? That made me LOL! My friends little sister paid £6 to have their photo taken next to a cardboard cut out of Hannah Montana. Now I think that's stupid. It may 'just be fun' for the kids, but it costs a LOT. And I'm actually scared at how many people in this thread actually like this 'manufactured entertainment'. ---------------- Now playing: Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Let's Make Out via FoxyTunes

I hate how I am going to have to get about three buses to get home from the metro centre tonight. Thank goodness I can still use my under 16 card until the 31st july, I can get an all day ticket for £2. But after the 31st july, I either have to pay full adult fair, or buy a year ticket, which costs like £600. It's not fair as I'm still going to be in full time education, and the adult fairs are designed for people with jobs. For example, the elderly get free bus travel any where and everywhere in the country! Why can't 16-18's who are still in education get discount? ---------------- Now playing: Metallica - The Four Horsemen via FoxyTunes

What's your favorite Flat ride?
ChrisCrowder replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love the ride which is in the middle of the picture, with the grasshopper on the top, but I have no idea what it is called. Above the booth, it says "Mega- Bounce" but I don't know if that's the official name. ---------------- Now playing: Feeder - 8.18 via FoxyTunes[/img] -
Photo TR : 6/11/08 Gorky Park, Moscow and much more
ChrisCrowder replied to Groteslurf's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Wow that park is really random, but cool. Do you know the reason behind all the SBNO's? And in the subway, were those little shops running down the right hand side? Some parts of Moscow looked like you were going to get mugged in, but other parts looked ok, somewhere I have to visit one time. Thanks for doing this TR, I enjoyed reading it! ---------------- Now playing: Muse - Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist via FoxyTunes -

Make your friends FORCE you to go on Nemesis first! But don't blame me if you're critical about every coaster you go on afterwards Spinball is a fun coaster, and lots of kids go on it. You should be fine on that, and Nemesis is themed and renowned as a 'scary' coaster, but once your on it, there's nothing scary about it. I almost chickened out on Nemesis, as it was my first inverting coaster, but once I got to the top of the lift hill, all the scary thoughts went away, and the guy i was sitting next to told me that as we went into the first corkscrew I shouted "this is amazing!". I tell you that you will love nemesis, so go on it first! Red Hot Chili Peppers - If You Want Me to Stay via FoxyTunes -

How many times the same ride in a day ?
ChrisCrowder replied to mingsai's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode my first rollercoaster when I was 7 and I rode it 16 times in one go! XD I wouldn't have got back on it after the first go, if I knew where the exit was, but unfortunately my friend wanted to go back on it, and I had to go back on. Fortunately I loved it the second time! The most I have rode in one day was about 35-40 times on Velocity and about 20 times on Kumali, both on the same day and at Flamingo land. Also we rode Corkscrew, about 10 times in one session. Corkscrew being one of those 30 year old Vekoma's which karate chop your neck on the corkscrews. ---------------- Now playing: Pennywise - Nothing To Lose via FoxyTunes -

Busted and Mc Fly. Seriously, DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE. Who thinks that rock should be twisted in such a way that little girls like it? And why are grown men talking about 'what i go to school for'? Peado's. ---------------- Now playing: Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California via FoxyTunes -
Woo, if it's in 2010, I'll be 18 then, and legal to drink beer I should have enough cash too if I start saving now... And put Flamingo Land on the agenda, I will have to show all the Americans on the trip northern Ham and Pease pudding sandwiches, I guarantee you will LOVE it. ---------------- Now playing: Mint Royale - I Don't Care via FoxyTunes

Has anybody thought that the added "danger" (not saying that there is any) might add to the thrill of the ride? They should keep the cables until they are almost broken, and play Drop Tower Russian Roulette, where one side is bound to break, but which side? That would be a "thrill ride" Seriously though, I don't think that there is anything to be gettung worked up about. Nobody got hurt, the saftey systems stopped any chance of somebody getting hurt. As Robb and others have said before, there is a LOT more chance of you getting hurt doing something else. If somebody slipped on a wet floor in a park, do you think the park should install extra drainage? ---------------- Now playing: Coldplay - Sparks via FoxyTunes -

ChrisCrowder replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
Floods are always crappy. Unfortunate that you live in a bungalow! But it's a good thing to see that the damage isn't that bad. This is what hit the UK last year, in our "Summer". ---------------- Now playing: The Pigeon Detectives - Say it Like You Mean it via FoxyTunes -
Bah, Nokia N95's are much nicer (in my opinion anyway). Apart from the huge price, a big turn off for me is the aspect ratio of the screen. Basically it isn't at the standard 16:9 ratio used by most films. Sounds silly, but it means you have to crop the film or strech it. Which sort of defys the object of having a phone to play films. The N95 has a great screen for watching films, and it comes with Spiderman 3 on it XD ---------------- Now playing: The Pigeon Detectives - She's Gone via FoxyTunes

Seems strange about the coasters. The blue one almost looks like it is going to have booster bike cars. Do you know if it is? It is the same style track as the booster bike at my local park, and thats also made by Vekoma. And do you know what the regulations in Thailand are? Are they as strict as "western" parks? ---------------- Now playing: Coldplay - Strawberry Swing via FoxyTunes

^Why not? It's not as if it's offensive to other religions, forcing people to become Christian, or actively mocking other religions. I think it's a good idea, I mean, how many other theme parks are themed on space, adventure etc. And some 40% of the world are Christian, and non-Christians would go too. And if there were decent credits there, you lot would go too ---------------- Now playing: Coldplay - 42 via FoxyTunes

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
ChrisCrowder replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This was a few years back, but I can still remember it as it was funny I was waiting for the back seat of the roller-coaster, as you got the most airtime over the first hill. This kid then asked me "Hey, we are going home now, and this is our last coaster, can we go in front of you?" I replied, "No, I've waited as long as you have. It's only a one train wait anyway." So he shut up, and waited for the next ride. After riding the rollercoaster, I went back to ride it again. The same kid was in the queue right behind me again, and asked the exact same thing. "Hey, we are going home now, and this is our last coaster, can we go in front of you?" So this time I replied "F*ck off." ---------------- Now playing: Muse - Sing For Absolution via FoxyTunes
