  1. Because it looks almost as good as a coaster built using Force Vector Design. Nice handbuilding!
  2. I don't know if this means anything to anybody (probably not), but a Kennywood fansite recently closed down: www.kennywoodinsider.com/ Comments, anybody?
  3. Are you using any other tools besides AHG?
  4. ^That would be...incestuous. (post if you know why) Now, about "doug"... Jarmor, I'll calculate the bank angles for you and heartline it, but you'll have to re-support it since I need to delete all the supports before I do that. I'll also need to get rid of the terrain, so you'll have to redo that as well, but in the end you'll have a more professional coaster.
  5. ^We have no idea who's responsible for shipping the coaster. All we know is that the pieces are loaded onto flatbeds and driven to their destination. That doesn't tell us if it's the park picking them up or the plant delivering them.
  6. ^What part of the ride is that?
  7. I thought this is what we decided X-works means: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ex_Works I noticed that, too, but we can't be sure till we know what the middle part of the code means.

  9. I think I may have found the abbreviation for floorless: rcdb.com/ig2169.htm?picture=1 It's not on an official label, but whoever inspected this piece labeled it as F-6405-ST4, which leads me to believe that "F" means floorless and thus rules out the possibility that our mystery track is for a floorless coaster, since it starts with "SC". So to update the list: Hyper - MC Inverted - IC Dive Machine - DM Flying - LC Floorless - F? Stand-up - ? Sitting - ?
  10. ^Interesting idea, but how would Knoebels theme a dark ride around that? I'm not convinced they can. I say they should just loosely theme it to an abandoned coal mine and leave it at that.
  11. ^Dick mentions in the article that the ride will be restored in a way that best reflects its past and its future at Knoebels, which I take as meaning they'll retain the mine theme and add some sort of Pennsylvanian twist to it. Besides, the trains are already modeled to look like mine cars, why waste money changing them?
  12. Great update, Robb. BTW, whatever happened to the boat jumpers? Did the park decide it was too unsafe, or did the park's lawyers decide that for them?
  13. This can't possibly be true. Plenty of people on this site have gone to Carowinds and haven't reported any unusual policies regarding cameras or video. Just another BS horror story.
  14. I'm confused. Is this ride a coaster, or is it a gravity-powered dark ride with some coaster-like elements?
  15. - Parks that continue to advertise their 1983 Arrow Looper as being the largest coaster in the world *cough*Marineland*cough* - Girls who start screaming as soon as the station brake is released. - Large groups who block the entire path by standing side by side and then proceed to walk as slowly as possible.
  16. They're tearing down Dante's Inferno?! I thought it was portable...
  17. I'm sorry, but Disaster Transport makes the Exterminator look like Spidey at IOA.
  18. Katun's wheel covers just scream Mayan awesomeness. They get my vote.
  19. I nominate Disaster Transport for worst themeing ever. I couldn't see much, but I swear the themeing consisted of painted garbage cans (after all, it is Cedar Fair), card board boxes, and shopping mall mannequins.
  20. ^Don't worry, it's not.
  21. Sure, CP is fine in May! It might be a bit cool, though, since it's next to Lake Erie and gets those cold lake-effect winds. On the flip-side, the cool temperatures will help keep the crowds down.
  22. Wow, this thread exploded in a hurry. I think it's a new Yo Gabba Gabba-sponsored, boob-themed B&M hyper that's going to be built on the moon.
