  1. I don't think Fireball was all that popular. When they put a new ride there, I imagine it will be a different one.
  2. This is why I'm impressed Great Adventure has actually added rides this year when we've seen cutbacks at a few parks now.
  3. I'd love an Xtreme Spinner, but Dollywood could use another family coaster to pull crowds from Dragonflier and Firechaser Express. Something like Manta would be a blast for kids and adults.
  4. I wish Nitro was getting the paint instead of Bizarro, but if they want to perform the work now it makes sense since Nitro will be running for Holiday in the Park. Having the DC Comics themed ride behind the western themed area is puzzling, but I do enjoy the ride and it rarely has a line.
  5. Over the past few days, I've noticed Six Flags scaling back their coaster offerings at a few of their parks for Holiday in the Park. There are a few emails floating around on social media, but it looks like Thunderbolt will be the only coaster open for HITP. It will be one of three adult rides open along with the Carousel and Scrambler. I've always been one to drive the extra few hours in winter to Great Adventure, but I'm hoping their ride list doesn't get scaled back as well.
  6. It would be great if this park gets a new coaster, but I most want to see Log Chute reopen. I'm surprised it has remained closed as long as it has.
  7. ^ I think it's a New England thing. Canobie does the same thing.
  8. After doing some more research, I'm wondering if this could be for the Mattel Adventure Park coming to Arizona. The park is slated to open late in 2022, which matches the opening date for the Gerstlauer Infinity coaster. Promotional art shows an orange looping coaster themed to Hot Wheels and the article in Amusement Today says guests will be "racing" to ride this Infinity coaster. Link to Mattel Adventure Park Article This would also be a perfect time to open this park and coaster since the Cardinals are hosting the Super Bowl in 2023.
  9. The fact it says late 2022 makes me think it's a year-round location. The article also never specified this was a park so it could be an entertainment complex off our radar.
  10. I love this ride's placement and I seem to like Jersey Devil more than most. It's fantastic in the back rows and still fun in the others. I just hope the ride doesn't have as much downtime as Jersey Devil and Magic Mountain can strategically refurb their trains so they can always have at least 3 going.
  11. Thanks! I figured there was a good reason.
  12. Does anyone know why Hershey is closed for all of Columbus Day weekend? That seems bizarre they'd close for a holiday weekend after being open the weekends before and after.
  13. When I bought my Scary Farm ticket, a few days ago, Xcerator wasn't listed on the ride closures page. Hopefully it's minor and reopens soon.
  14. I think the most encouraging this is the uptime and the fact Disney is posted wait times now makes it easier to monitor from sites like Queue-Times.
  15. I think they closed the Ramses ride so I imagine this is where it's going.
  16. I hope it's something big, but keep in mind this park did a lot of teasing for a mat slide last year.
  17. The earliest I was allowed to roam a park by myself was probably when I was 11 or 12. My parents gave me a walkie talkie at Santa's Village so I could go on the larger rides wile they saw a show. It worked well until someone else had the same frequency as me. I wasn't allowed to be in a park entirely by myself until high school. That was when I had a cell phone so I could be reached.
  18. The Skyride opened in the late afternoon on Friday. Mach Tower did the same thing. The delayed opening looked to be staffing related for both.
  19. Two operational changes have occurred. Nickelodeon Universe now state online that you can leave and re-enter throughout the day. I didn't see the same thing for the Dreamworks Water Park. Both Nickelodeon Universe and the Dreamworks Water Park now offer skip-the-line passes for $50.
  20. Great to hear! I was hoping I could visit again later this year on a day when all 3 Intamins are open together.
  21. Popeye's did (as of May 2021), but some water would seep in there.
  22. I think Blue Streak has a good layout IF it were smooth. If anything, I think something like what was done with Zippin' Pippin and Bay Beach would make more sense if the old blueprints still exist.
  23. These Soaring Eagle drop towers just have a seatbelt that goes across your lap. They don't have anything that goes between your legs even for smaller riders.
  24. Whale’s Tale water park in New Hampshire has a similar waiver you have to sign. Originally it was just for their flow rider, but they extended the document to cover just getting into the park more recently.
