  1. If I remember correctly from reading on some other forums and mentions from friends in the business.... ...The gardaland Prototype will feature modified Dive Coaster Trains - IE Take out the middle seats and lower the end seats. In the mean time they will be tackling the possiblity of rotating seats which is what we may see over here at Thorpe in 2012.
  2. Awesome - I do love it when the new ride is completely different to what everyone is expecting, this park just gets better and better. You pretty much deserve every award that could be invented to do with RCT!!!!
  3. That original image is just an official photoshop of some cgi B&M track and furious baco - you can tell by the restraints on the seats. However, it has been known for some time that B&M were working on a 4D style coaster which will be prototyped for Gardaland then if successful will also head to Thorpe in 2012 I believe. Looks and sounds awesome though!
  4. Interesting layout - however.....5g Launch!?!?!?! How many necks do you wanna snap with that? Also the hydraulics required for that speed in that short period of time would never work if Intamin made them
  5. Looks very impressive so far.... .....lets just hope it isn't rough! Cause that would be an expensive mistake!
  6. Interesting modification - I wonder if this issue will make B&M Modify their buckle system from now on? They could always take an idea similar to that of the Intamin Restraints - where the buckle clips in to the bottom of the restraint? May make it easier for this to never happen again.
  7. Rewind 2 and a bit years and I was there in April time, the park was more dead than this!!! I don't understand how they can make any money at this place!! Although riding the Giant Drop 15 times in a row without standing up was great
  8. Looking good - however Premier have never made any shoot the chute rides (from my research on premier's website this backs it up) however I think the style of ride you are talking about is an Intamin Spillwater 12/20 passenger model. http://www.intaminworldwide.com/iag/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21&Itemid=33 Looking great apart from this very minor thing though
  9. How is that possible? The world cup is every four years, not two! I stand corrected--don't follow the game much (except by accident). You were partially right, the event you were thinking of would have been the European Championships - takes place every 4 years 96, 00, 04, 08, 12 etc.... aka Euro 96, Euro 2008
  10. Great TR - made me laugh quite a few times, love the idea of the trip too, keep up the great work!
  11. Yes Yes & Yes, you could probably read the bible in the length of time it takes to get up the 2nd lift hill!!! And after you reach the top, you'll be crying for Jesus to save you. Definitely.....!! Although I did find the Ultimate quite bone-jarring, I actually thought Big One was running slightly rougher this year in April, may haver been my back seat ride!
  12. Yes Yes & Yes, you could probably read the bible in the length of time it takes to get up the 2nd lift hill!!!
  13. I believe a company called Rocky Mountain is doing the retracking and the trains will be from Gerstlauer.....should be interesting!
  14. I would say the main thing to be concerned with (other than the suns position) is composition. Your first drop shot of Mind Eraser is great, so is your portrait shot of Twister, however the shot of Shake, Rattle & Roll is a little bit crooked, also a big fence is covering half of the ride, try to rotate the photo in Photoshop to even it up slightly. Other than that though for a first outing of a new camera you did a pretty good job.
  15. Its just a large version of the Ultimate at Lightwater! Wooden Supports with Steel Track (although Ultimate is tubular, whereas this is I Beam construction) Sod it, I think everyone is right, its an Aquatrax..............
  16. Unfortunately I have thought this about the UK Trip - however normally Robb has said before they can't guarantee you can meet up with them as they are usually pretty busy on the trip, also groups break off from the main group for the day so not everyone walks round all day. The only official meet up of the trip was the Club TPR day at Alton Towers, but that has finished now! Also Pleasure Island Cleethorpe's Re-opened 1st May for business as usual
  17. Single most disappointing match I have ever seen in my life....we should have owned Algeria........we played like a Sunday Amateur league!
  18. All photo rights goto the European Coaster Club and Justin Garvanovic.....
  19. There were photos of the Figure 8 Loop in the Anton Schwarzkopf issue of First Drop, I will try and find my copy (it was a few years ago now, so might take some digging!) and scan in the photos, it certainly looked mental though!!! EDIT* After some digging....I have nothing better to do on my day off!!! I present to you, the most insane inversion ever.....
  20. Why am I struggling to imagine most folks walking into their local dealership and saying, "I'm looking for an unreliable pain in the a$$ to drive?" Alfa Romeo
  21. Incredible show, cannot wait till next year to see it in person! Once again, Disney prooves they are the best at what they do! Thanks to Robb for filming all of it and for getting his Photos up quickly!
  22. Words do not describe how awesome this is! You are very talented, keep up the great work!
  23. Unbelievable photos, you have a very good eye for photos, composition is amazing! I am looking into either a Nikon D5000 or a Canon 450d/500d but I cannot make up my mind as to which one to go for!!! It is a minefield of figures and details when looking at DSLRs, then you have the lenses! I was even more blown away about the lenses, back in the day I had a Canon SLR with 2 lenses, a TeleZoom and a Standard Zoom (cannot remember which levels though) I hope I make the right choices with lenses/body, maybe I can eventually shoot some photos like yours (I am not too bad with a camera, but feel I am held back with standard cameras!) Cannot wait to see your other TR's
  24. I've only had grey out experiences whilst being dehydrated and tired. Most notably on The Bullet (Schwarzkopfs infamous Wiener Looping, serious G's on that!) However out of your list of coasters I would certainly not class Dueling Dragons (Fire Dragon) as a "gentle" ride, I remember riding it in 1999 during its soft opening, and the immelman/helix really caught me off guard and was quite intense. Just remember like lots of other people have stated, always make sure you drink plenty when at a park (especially in the heat of the day) You should be ok after that.
  25. You cannot upload your TR to the Park Index, certain TR's will get added depending on what Larry deems to be suitable for the Park Index. Nice TR btw.
