  1. Surely this was just a chain snap though? I can understand it probably made a lot of noise, but hardly tearing itself apart!? Where abouts did you stop on the ride? Surely if you stopped on the top of the lift you couldn't have completed a circuit without someone pushing you over the top?
  2. In Nemesis' defence, it hasn't run all winter, we have had one of the coldest winters in years and it was first thing in the morning with no weight on board, of course it is going to run slower than usual, but give it a few weeks of numerous runs and some heat (hopefully) and it will be flying round the course again......anyone know if they have put all new bearings in the wheels again this year? To really make it fly? Will find out for myself in April
  3. Looking at the photos, it looks like a similar ride to Vertigo at Tivoli Gardens.... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50484&hilit=vertigo
  4. Karaoke Time..... Quagmire - It goes on and on and on and onandonandonand gigidy gigidy gigidy goooooooooo (something like that.....brilliant!!)
  5. How about a possible Paramount Buyout? Or even Cedar Fair (Not sure when Cedar Fair came about, I could be a bit early on that one...)
  6. Unfortunately no, they high parts of Rita have always been painted green to blend in with the trees for planning regs. I believe Rita is staying its colour for the future.
  7. So much for Alton Themeing the castle 360 degrees, bit of a disappointment, I would love to think they will do it in the next few weeks, but it looks pretty permanent if you ask me, It just looking like instead of the idea of going into the castle you'll just be going into a metal shed, kinda ruins the idea of total immersion psycoaster...... Anyones thoughts?
  8. Really looking forward to seeing what happens with this park in the late 90's and early 00's, B&M are major business around this time but large B&M's in RCT3 tend to look wrong scale wise, looking forward to seeing if Charleston lay out mega money for a Nemesis style Inverter with loads of ground-hugging inversions Think it might be time to call in a Vekoma Boomerang to draw in the crowds? or maybe a corkscrew?
  9. I completely agree! Vekoma had a great idea and B&M took it and made it even better. Props to both but it seems Vekoma had the idea 1st. The whole kneeling innovation looks pretty unique too. I doubt that. john Vardley and B&M was working on the flying concept for more than five years. They where working on Air even before Oblivion was built. So I think it was more of a case of Vekoma hearing about it, and beating them to it. Agreed, the Idea of Air was originally discussed just after Nemesis opened way way back in 1994!! (This has been confirmed by John Wardley himself) So the way I see it is that Vekoma may have overtaken B&M with the development however B&M got it right!
  10. As long as I could eat Ice Cream without getting attacked by Raptors I'd be there.......... But I strongly doubt that if anyone built J Park they would spare no expense.......
  11. Agreed, It is an official Local Council petition form which goes directly to the local planning authority, lets make a difference people!!!!
  12. Done, my comments are below. I may have only been once to Paultons, but I found it a nice little park which needed a boost in visitor numbers, the addition of new rides will help with that, so I am all for it.
  13. Awesome work adding the email thing Hanno. On the calendar thing, I have an idea which may solve the issues some people have with it looking too big or clumsy. The Calendar has 7 days in view, is there any way the current day could be the central "box" in the view? If this is do-able, could you leave the current day at the current size, but reduce all of the other days in view to a slightly smaller size (the box and text), I think this would look a lot more pleasing to the eye. I hope I have explained it well, I haven't got anything other than Paint on this laptop so cannot mock up what I mean, so if Hanno or Robb don't understand, anyone who can could you do a mock up? Just a few ideas, loving the look of the new forum, looking forward to it being in full use!
  14. Awesome, thanks for the swift reply Robb...
  15. Just wondering if this got overlooked and if anyone had any opinions on this idea??
  16. ^^^ I get exactly the same problem, Windows 7, Google Chrome
  17. I have to say the card strikes the perfect balance between "fun" and "professional". Congratulations on what should be an epic milestone in TPR history!
  18. Just spotted something, not sure if it is an error or not, but not too keen on the way it works, the White vertical line between the user details and the message varies in length depending on the amount of text in the message box, here are a few examples.
  19. Is there any way that in the email message you get if you are following a topic the email can include the message (albeit without photos if a PTR) that has been posted which triggers the email? I am on a few forums that use this feature and it is very handy when at work so I can keep an eye on what's being posted without having to load up the entire website (which is frowned upon at work) Just a thought, not sure if this would be easy to implement.
  20. Nemesis hands down, best Night Experience on a coaster of my life, especially after the giant Floodlight was turned off for final ride of the night, front row........Heaven!!!
  21. Liking the look of it at the moment, Am using Google Chrome and everything looks spot on, no issues here. P.S. I kinda like the "Flat Colour" Look, will make it easier to look at on my phone!
  22. The reason this was a circle loop and not a Clothoid loop is that during a normal coaster clothoid style loop you experience a small amount of weightlessness at the peak of the loop, if this happened whilst driving a car round a loop, the car would fall. By keeping the loop perfectly circular, the g's are kept high, thus centriple force works correctly! This was filmed about 5 miles from my home, I drove past a day or 2 after filming and saw the loop, interesting piece of tv though. btw. 5th Gear is just an alternative to Top Gear, totally different channel, but agreed, definatly not in the same class as Top Gear.
  23. I was loving this design, then I had a brainwave, why not try having the background of the TPR Logo end at the yellow stripe, so that you can see the Yellow stripe all across the card, but behind the colours of the logo (If you catch my drift) Also, I think it would look pretty good to have a hand drawn rollercoaster train on the yellow stripe facing towards the front almost at the left hand side, using the yellow stripe as track.
  24. Just to take the other road here, any chance that could actually be a dummy car to use for the pull through??? I believe it was reported recently the Pull Through is going to be happening soon, and I am fairly certain that normally, coaster cars aren't delivered seperatly, they are delivered in a whole train (not necessarily on the same pallet mind you) Just my 2p's worth
  25. Noooooo!!!!! I hope they are just doing a retheme, but even then, the Rat Ride was almost Epic! one of the first dark rides I ever went on. Hope they done completely mess this up! Top Scan sounds good though, will have to check this news out when I go there in April.
