My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark - Fall Out Boy
-
Back in '08 (end of my junior year in high school) I went to Disney World with my friend Drew after we got out of school in May. So one day we went to Hollywood Studios. The park was unbelievably dead. We ran over to Tower first (because it was our favorite) and ran through the queue, not having to wait a single minute. After passing through the misty outside garden, the hotel lobby and the library, we headed down into the boiler room. After seeing the majority of the visitors queuing with us head down the right side of the boiler room to load, we decided to go left (on a whim). Here we found ourselves as the only ones waiting for an elevator on the left side. I told Drew, "Dude, we better ask if we can have this one all to ourselves! That would be so awesome!" so we asked the bellhop and he quickly let us in the next arriving elevator car. We hopped in the front row, buckled up and he quickly shut the door as other guests were snaking their way through the boiler room queue and we got to ride by ourselves. One of the best ride moments, ever!!! Drew on the left, me on the right.

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
brockboehm replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worth mentioning (best ending): - Mystery Mine at Dollywood. Explosion before the final 95 degree drop then a heartline roll into a inverted hanging section + dive loop is amazing. - Thunderhead was always at its most intense towards the end of the ride. Lots of fast-paced banked turns and head choppers to throw you around before hitting the brake run. Lots of good fun. -

Chris this looks awesome! I would ride this one in a heartbeat. Fantastic job! Love the terrain, foliage and the coverings. -
Neat update. I got turned around by the first photo and was like, wait a second, is Phantom gone?! Auto Race looks really nice. Its a nice new addition the park needed. Question though: when you release the park (if you release it) will you be releasing the park by decade? So we get to experience all the decades?

Your photos are awesome! Great photo trip report. Glad you photographed some of the flats. I love looping ships as well and enterprises, so it was nice seeing those in there. The Dollywood photos were great, especially one of the Barnstormer ones - the one where the sun was setting. -
No. Have you ridden a B&M Wing Coaster?

What is your favorite launch coaster?
brockboehm replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on four: First launched coaster I rode was Joker's Jinx at Six Flags America (lots of head banging) when I was 7, then Incredible Hulk when I was about 8 or 9 (and a couple trips after that), Storm Runner when I was 16, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster every time I visit Hollywood Studios. For me it would have to be Incredible Hulk, because of the memory I had first riding, and the overall experience. My uncle moved to Orlando in 1999 or so, and my family went to visit him and to visit ALL the Florida theme parks the following summer (with the exception of Sea World). I remember on the way in to Orlando passing Islands of Adventure on the main highway and seeing Hulk for the first time, launching the trains up out of the cannon into the barrel roll. It looked really intimidating to me at the time, and I was really afraid to ride it. Once we got to my uncles apartment, he introduced me to his girlfriend and I asked them if they had been on it yet because it looked really scary. They told me they had ridden it and it was nothing, that I would want to ride it again and again after I rode it once and told me it would be the first park of the trip and we would be going the next morning. We got to the park early the next day, and if I'm correct waited at least an hour for it that day. It was amazing to see the themed queue, and every now and then see a train whizzing by overhead through a hole in the building. My adrenaline and anxiousness to get on was building up seeing this, and spiraling up to the top loading platform, we eventually made it onto the last row of a train. I'll never forget the first time experiencing the launch, it was incredible! The panic of the scientist over the speakers made it even more intense. Needlesstosay I made it back wanting more, and it helped spark my insane passion for roller coasters. Here's the onride photo (I'm the little blonde guy in the back): -
10/10. If I could give it more than that I would. LOVE American Horror Story!

I'm watching Robin Williams' Weapons of Self Destruction on YouTube right now. So funny! Crying!

This made me laugh. I was drinking sweet tea and it came out my nose a little. So true! People should be respectful.

I agree, a POV would be great. -
I'm trying to plan a trip to either Universal Orlando for a long weekend sometime during the summer with my friend or I might do a Virginia trip to visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion for the first time. I need Rip Ride Rock It and Mummy's credits cause they weren't there last time I was in Orlando. On the other hand, I'm dying to ride I-305 and all the coasters at BGW. Leaning towards the Virginia trip if I can just convince my friend to go. I'll probably hit Dollywood a few times this year too.
