  1. Maybe the record they are breaking for this ride is "World's Newest Inverted Coaster"
  2. I could imagine an Indiana Jones themed dark ride where Iron Wolf stood. (Yes, I know IJ is owned by Disney, but I think a similar adventure theme could be used for this new ride) A launched coaster like Manta as SW San Diego would be nice too
  3. I don't see the ride being 250ft tall, but 200 feet could be more believable. Alpengeist is 195 ft and I can't imagine an invert much taller than that. Alpengeist has so much speed at the beginning of the ride that it doesn't feel like most inverts until after the MCBR. Just look how crazy tall the drop is!
  4. That looks like a Batwing to me! And I'm just disappointed since Kings Island could have added multiple rides in SOB's location, but I'm okay with a huge invert as well!
  5. Is that a joke...? Spongebob is very smooth in the front middle seats. Otherwise, you shuffle in your seat a lot. Alright guys, the joke wasn't funny the first time... For someone who's location is riding Spongebob, you sure don't know what seats to sit in for a smooth ride.
  6. Yeah, I'll be coming down to Kentucky Kingdom to check out it's reopening as well as Kings Island's new coaster! Would be a fun weekend trip.

  8. My theme park plans this year have been very minimal... So far... - Nickelodeon Universe - Six flags Great America - Mount Olympus Might go to Cedar Point, Kings Island, or Six Flags St. Louis later this year.
  9. I'm still surprised more of these haven't caught on. They're very fun flat rides that aren't the most thrilling rides ever, but are a step up from a typical family ride.
  10. I'm glad they are expanding the Far Far Away Land even though no new Shrek Movies are coming out. I grew up with those movies and cannot wait for the day to visit Universal Studios Singapore (which gets better after every year that passes!)
  11. When you have a home park like SFGAm, walking up to a merry-go-around like the one at SFOT's is like walking up to trash. It's a bummer that the park turns into an oven in the heat (especially on rides with no shade) but it's still one of my favorite Six Flags parks. Thanks for posting photos, you really lucked out on riding NTAG a few days before the accident!
  12. Please check out my Six Flags Great America music video! Subscribe, comment, like, and favorite is all appreciated
  13. I've done 15 rides on Demon at Six Flags Great America while waiting for the water park to open. Rode 15 times on Buccaneer Battle the day it opened to the public (I rarely ride it now, hah) Also have done 14 rides on American Eagle Red side twice, and Viper 14 times in a row as well. When it comes to rides outside of my home park, I've done 13 rides on Boulder Dash and Bizarro at Six Flags New England.
  14. I never posted this in here, but I sailed on the Holland America Line's Ms Zaandam from Vancouver to Seward, Alaska from July 7th to July 14th and had an amazing time! The ship had great food and the ports we stopped at were amazing, Alaska is a beautiful place to visit. At times, you felt like you were on a floating nursing home, but that's just the type of people that tend to visit Alaska, but it was still a great visit. I don't have many complaints of the ship! It was larger than the Monarch of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) cruise I took to the Bahamas a few years back! Taken in Ketchickan.
  15. I rode American Eagle red side at Six Flags Great America yesterday. I was at the park on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday for meet-ups with friends from out of town.
  16. Just read the entire thing and all of it is interesting. This is something I would do if I had the time, but I thank you for doing it for me! Edit. Didn't Golden Horse get into major trouble at last year's IAAPA? I don't see that company adding many rides in USA anytime soon.
  17. Yeah, its sad he passed away. Glee has been stumbling down hill the last 2 seasons and now with Cory (Finn) gone, I don't see it lasting much longer, even though he didn't have a big part in the last few episodes.
  18. Here's a quote from the proposal posted on page 294. "COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE Although the cost to refurbish the three marquee rides that have been closed since 2007 (the Twisted Twins coasters and the Mile High Falls spill ride) is $4.2 million, it would cost $21 million to purchase these rides new today. In a sense, then, putting these rides back into service would be like adding three new rides worth $21 million for a cost of only $4.2 million. The following photos show several of the park’s marquee attractions and note the estimated costs to refurbish them."
  19. Sorry to bump the thread! A little update on the status of the park. Link: http://www.adventureworldwarsaw.com/corporate-en/pressroom/articles/aww-changes-its-headquarters/ And my sister who lives in Poland at the moment, as well as my cousins that live in Warsaw never even knew this project existed until I showed them. For a park opening in 2 years and the citizens of Warsaw not knowing a park is being built isn't a good start.
  20. I really haven't been outcast-ed as being the weird kid obsessed with rides, a lot of my friends actually think it's interesting that I like roller coasters so much. Being only 10 minutes away from Six Flags Great America, my friends always invite me to go with them and enjoy my presence. But everyone knows that they are GP, which is why joining TPR, I've met some great coaster friends to hang out with at the park. The only downside of being a teen enthusiast is Facebook. Some people are afraid to show that they love coasters on Facebook, while other's won't stop posting about it and I can see why non-enthusiasts might find it annoying.
  21. Haven't posted in this thread in awhile. In front of the Tower Bridge in London. Me graduating high school over the weekend.
  22. Zamperla's take on a Euro-Fighter I guess? It looks alright but the layout looks like it would have been better if it were built 10 years ago. It's good that the Coney Island parks are building another marketable coaster though.
  23. This looks amazing! The drop towers and tilt you 15 degrees already scare me, but this one, wow!
  24. Is this the same Thunderbolt that Little Amerricka has a model of in their park? (That they also plan on building?) (I know Zamperla isn't building a recreation, but wondering if this is the Thunderbolt everyone is talking about)
