Yes they are keeping the Cuda Falls complex. From the Splashtown website, "The bigger, better, wetter SplashTown Water Park at Darien Lake features three all-new attractions, an additional 7,000 square feet of completely new park space, a new bathhouse, new food and beverage options, new landscaping, more deck and lounging space, new cabanas and a complete makeover of the popular Cuda Falls water slide complex"

Sfne does this with Bizzaro, Batman and Cyclone and it does help alot and avoids massive buildup in the stations. -
Never been to the slide but here is a great update on the slide's current condition http://www.negative-g.com/WetWillys/Wet-Willys-1.htm

This Company had nothing to do with the roughness of Villian they just constucted the ride. The Roughness would be the fault of CCI and the G-Trains. -
That was the best hockey game I have watched in a while. That empty netter was a thing of beauty.

Suppose someone tells you that you could visit ethier all of the Six Flags parks or all of the Cedar Fair parks for free. Which would you chose and why? Personally I would have to go with Cedar Fair because I feel that as a whole chain they have better all around coasters and rides.

I know this was discussed about two pages ago but as far as the Superman ride from SFKK, I have always had trouble understanding why it was made into such a big deal yes it is very bad that the girl had her feet severed but I felt it was blown out of proportion and I see no reason why the ride had to be closed considering that SROS at SFNE and DL had deaths on those rides and they opened within a matter of months, and people are still riding the hell out of them. So to say that you would not ride the tower even if it was relocated and refurbished to like new is a little extreme in my mind.

Paultons Park Needs Your Help

I also submitted a comment. I wonder if the people looking at the comments submitted are wondering why there are so many from the U.S. -
I think people took this topic the wrong way I was not complaining about Six Flags not adding many ride this year and I understand why they can't add any Hyper or Giga's this year or for a while. I was just wondering why they are not doing much as far as updates and such on the rides they have announced.
-
Is it just me or does it seem that Six Flags as a chain is kind of slacking with their new ride announcements as a whole this year. It seems like the past couple of years the Chain has announced all of their new rides for the upcoming season on a specific date (in September the past couple years) and this year many parks have not made an announcement or just claimed that their will be a new ride but providing no other information. Also even for the parks that have announced their new rides the websites contain little info about the ride and no updates at all. Does anyone think their is any reason for this or just a different business policy? MOD EDIT: The spell checker is your friend.

As far as the odd themeing at the park. That gorrila was from the old Jungleland walkthrew, and the park pulls out a bunch of old stuff from the boneyard for frightfest. Also is TPR ever gonna make a trip to TGE I thought for sure they would during the East Coast Trip in 2008

^ Thanks for pointing that out to me and yes the ferris wheel currently in SFA will be the one re-themed to thomas due to the fact that the concept art shows the ride with 12 cars (which the one at Sfa has) compared to the ride at The Great Escape only having 8. -

The ferris wheel looks like the ballon ferris wheel at The Great Escape. Which is always talked about being removed due to the fact that it is very hidden in its location and the park already has a real ferris wheel. -

The Best Six Flags Park
nhman93 replied to Axman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Currently ive been to five Sf parks but I was 3 when I visited Great Adventure so I cant say anything about it. The other four are TGE, SFNE SFDL (now just DL) and SFGAM. Out of those our I would have to go with 1. Sfgam- Great theming and great selction of rides. 2.Sfne- 2 Great Coasters and some good flats (even thou they have removed about 8 in the past 5 years) 3.TGE- People complain about this park lacking thrills but its a family park and is like a model for the type of park the new SF wants. -

As far as the Comet I belive some of the metal that makes up the structure of the ride came from the old cyclone but the ride itself is totaly diffrent. I also belive that when Charles Wood (owner of Fantasy Island and Great Escape at the time) saved the Comet he originally intended to build it at FI and it was stored there for a couple of years. So I belive later on FI built the Silver Comet as a sort of replacement for those upset by not getting the real Comet. So thats why I think they have the similar stations. (Sorry if it's kinda confusing)
