Considering that Carowinds hasn't gotten a coaster since 2004 and next year it will be the 4th year without a coaster, I'd probably hedge my bet and say it will come here. I'm not being a fanboy, I'm just saying that Carowinds normally gets a coaster every 2-3 years or so and CF seems to really like the park, or at least they gave that impression on the conference calls. Wherever it ends up, I hope to be able to ride it. I've only been on Wicked Twister and would like to ride the other version of the impulse. Maybe they'll run it under the bridge. That would be weird seeing two spikes sticking up from under there. lol

The name is OK I guess (nothing is as awesome as Borg Assimilator or Fairly Odd Coaster ) The logo is tacky and looks more like an owl than a hawk. It also looks like some cheesy 80s cartoon. Like Silver Hawks had an earth-bound spinoff.

Overall though on the point of this thread... If you are afraid of coasters and thrill rides, you're going to be kind of bored unless you go to someplace like Universal that has other types of rides that really arent' scray. But you really should get over your fear. Coasters = fun!

Yeah, it's not the best ride or anything, but Carowinds needs flat rides. So any flat is a good flat, even one that sat and rusted last season. lol

Most everyone in the community that I've met seems to be pretty cool. But then there are a few jerks like that I've met that just seem to kind of ruin it for everyone. There was this kid at one of my events last year that I went to and I just wanted to tape his mouth shut because he never shut up about how much he knew about coasters, how much he loved Robb and how he wanted to have his baby and how cool he (the kid) was.

Carowinds numbers are kinda funny: Top Gun #29 - that's fine, I understand that..it's not new anymore. #2 for the park? Super Saturator! #3 for the park? Borg! I find that hillarious that Borg came in 3rd. lol My personal #1 was like #6 and my #2 was #10. But I haven't been to Europe like SOME people. So I know I haven't ridden all of those other coasters.

My two theories are this: Behind the monkey is what looks like a screen of some sort. It could be that that screen pops open the monkey goes backwards into it and then the lights come back on. Second theory: Entire pedistil drops into the floor and another pedistal without a monkey on it shoots up out of the floor. sounds weird I know, but it could work.

I hope this is just a problem with the temp cards. I'll be picking up my plastic MAXX pass in about 2 months. I'm planning to go to GL and CP, so hopefully it won't have issues.
