  1. OMG - now kids, what do we do with our candy that we collect now??? What-ever. Glad to hear you had/are-having fun on your quickie to Floreedah. Do dah. Do dah.
  2. Most of the decorations are up, a bit after Thanksgiving, so visiting there right at the beginning of December - it'll all be there for you, lol. Midweeks are best - weekends are worst - closer to The Day you go, worse it gets - time between The Day and End-Of-Year - too many peoples to count. My 3 cents
  3. Hmmm - I smell a "special edition" TPR Blues CD in the making.
  4. I do hope TPR coffee mugs will be available soon. And TPR shot glasses. And of course the all-important.... um ... well, you'll think of something next, I'm sure...
  5. Hey - who you calling.... um ..... ah ..... ohhhhhhhh never mind.
  6. Going to Amsterdam - hah! Checking out the 'coaster' in the (hopefully) newly-opened Dungeons of Amsterdam, there. And of course the uh, "Halloween Culture," there??? *cough cough*
  7. I started smoking when I was 16. I tried twice to quit with the help of some fool 'device' (what was that stupid creditcard-sized thing called?). The first time I went nine months. The second time, six. I finally did it on New Year's of 2000-2001. Cold turkey, with big dollar signs in front of my mind, constantly reminding me how much money I was saving, day by day. Then, packs up here cost $5.25 CDN per. Now? Over $8.50 per pack I see. I 'slipped' this past winter, and actually was on the road to my usual pack-and-a-bit per day, when fate and a bad flu in February reminded me why I wanted to stop smoking them. And I stopped, again. And moved up my 'anniversary' to my birthday, which is end-of-March. Quit now, while it's way more easy for you, than what it could probably be later on. I was lucky (to a point; there's still the 'uncertain' future) and somehow after all those years of smoking, I was still allowed to quit, if I so chose. And for now, there are no signs of cancer, which constantly surprises me, lol. Think of all those park passes and airflights to new coastering adventures you'll be able to save up for, if you stopped now? - Hope the test goes well for you, in your favor.
  8. New photos showing up at miceage.com - pix showing two trains testing (yes!) are up at wdwmagic.com - and more pix at orlandorocks.com This is looking like such a sweet ride/adventure attraction.
  9. Had a few left in the old roll film camera. So I drove over to the Playland Coaster and snapped a few, during it's "downtime." The park is holding it's own (now) annual Fright Nights, but I really think they've got a looonng way to go, before they get anywhere near (some) US park standards of Park Haunts, lol. Anyway, the air was clear, it IS fall up here, altho the majority of our trees don't go as vivid in color changes as other spots do. But it's a nice time of year up here. Enjoy. This is the one. A smallish twister, but with some good air time and some great tossing in your seat. Note FN ad on fence? Whatever. I am shooting this across what used to be a major playing stadium in Vancouver. For football, track. Now, a pretty lonely coaster. A lot of wood in there. Some of it nearly fifty years old now! Good coaster.
  10. OMG - I was there I guess the second year it was open - 1963 @ age 10. Then, I revisited in 1975 @ age 22. My my. Was fun to go thru. Things change, somewhat, sometimes, huh? Pizza restaurant, hmm?
  11. Something to be eaten. Mmm. A Roller-piggy!
  12. Hey - I end up as TPR 'art' - wtf Very funny stitch. More, more. Yum.
  13. I just ordered mine, yahooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Email, paid, and blah blah blah, Mr.R and Ms.E. Have a safe flight.
  14. ^ Just re-checked my coaster count.... I stand corrected, thanks.
  15. OMG that is too much. ROFL. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Great. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii like it.
  16. I am leaving for Amsterdam this Monday. And it's the first time I have travelled out of the country on my own, since 1997. And I am starting to get a bit anxious about it all. Packing is an easy given with me, and can do on Sunday. Everything's ready to go, in fact. In order and all. Just me getting a bit anxious, flying all that way, and really being on my own for a vacation. And then coming back home to.... ? I'll be ok. In the end, I do want to go on the trip. Hey - a coaster credit most of you can't do just yet, hee hee. (See thread on Amsterdam Dungeon).
  17. Speaking of which - when IS your Oktoberfest, anyway? I don't really know, except -duh- the obvious time period. But, when was it, in these past months? I would like to know, thanks.
  18. "Why? Because - we - LIKE - you." (in our best Mickey Mouse Club voices). I think you are one of The Ones who could give each of us one of the best Octoberfest Tours anybody could ever have in Germany. { And you have nice German chocolate, too }
  19. I loved seeing the Arches in the background there! Whata flashback hoot! To 1963, and me and my mom are bussing over to Knotts, from the Disneyland area, and I swear to McNuggets, we stop at an intersection and there "They" are. The Arches. My first Franchise Credit, heh heh heh. One of my better memories of being 10, LOL. Great Retro TR. Definitely a place here for all of that. The Alveys may have opened up quite the theme park and coaster archives ever imaginable with all the pix that we'll be able to supply if not share along with an old fashioned (gasp) video transfer here and there? Fun times. Simple and just as different for us as it is/was, for you guys now. (My visit to Tampa was '87 so all I got was Python, lol.)
  20. LMAO when I saw that. Then "The Colonel's Mobile Home Lot." The kicker for me tonight, you guys didn't even see, probably. Our local programming, with the commercial for a repeat broadcast on Friday of (AND I QUOTE) "The Emmy Winning Globe-travelling Family Edition of Amazing Race" link:  I mean, did they really have to say GLOBE? That was too much. And now, I have this awful feeling that TAR came to Vancouver (that bridge in the preview looked 'awfully familiar' to us) and I missed them!!! Oh, the tah-radgedy of it tall. (burp) What - ever. (IMO - it isn't really that much fun to watch. period.)
  21. Hit That Jive, Jack a Quartet named 'Cadence'
  22. That would be nice, but I live 5000 miles away and won't be back in Florida till Jan 2007. Hmmm. Maybe you are closer to Paris and the RnR there? Just kidding. A great POV video. My second time thru it and I still enjoy it all. Thanks again.
  23. Yes, it's the following Saturday, October 30th for DST. I'm having to put up with it, in my Amsterdam trip again this fall. Adding to the jet lag, lol. ~ ~ ~ ~ Spring Forward Fall back ~ ~ ~ ~ Have a great trip to FL this weekend you guys - and everybody have fun at the party nights there, too. Woo BOO!
  24. Just as a suggestion to this ongoing thread - and it's interest? Everybody who wants to trade candy from where they are located, should do this.... Put your Candy Pack together. And stick to it (pardon). And try to make it as reasonable a total in $ as you can. I'm not going to suggest a price limit as exchange values and candy costs around the world.... well, you know you can only make it so reasonable in quantity, quality AND price. You can then list your 'pack' to everybody on this thread (and the total cost, if you want to) and then anybody who want's to trade theirs for yours..... great! Hey, you could even post a pic of the pack if you can. The more enticing it looks (yum) the more we'll want to trade with you, hmm? I am leaving for Amsterdam this coming Monday, so am not getting into this until I get back, Nov.03. But I am looking forward to any and all who want to trade sweets - and that includes YOU, Mr.Hattuchili.....
