Just a reminder, about Thursday.... Arrrrrrr. As if you didn't need enough reminding.... this is ours at Playland (PNE) now closed for the season. A finer close-up there'd never be, yarrrrrr. -

Final Day (4) at TDLR ... Star Tours at TDL This last day at the resort, and the tour for us, David and I decided to meet up later on in the day, at our "usual spot", that being near the gift shop in Mysterious Island at TDS. So I took off in the early morning, to finally experience what the Star Tours 2 attraction is all about. It was down for maintenance, last TPR visit, so I knew i wanted to get at least one ride in, on this visit... It's quite the setup at Tokyo Disneyland. A massive show building with lots to see and pass by, before you finally reach your transport to...? I forgot where we were going, lol. It was a good exciting ride, but honestly, there are a couple of things I really really missed from the old ride... Pee Wee Herman's voice as our guide. The ice caverns we rocketed into and through. So, I did a ride on it, it was alright, and I don't need a re-ride again. Even with changing scenarios, etc etc. My breakfast, for the morning. View from our hotel - of that other hotel. Mono, mono -a- mono mono... TDL Passport Price Board. The Jeff Johnson Special. This is where I was heading. Lots of nice themeing around me. And this is The Crowd below all The Themeing. But it was an easy walk-in, when I arrived there. We're riding one of these, still. Good old transport vehicles. Like I said, I sort of forgot where we were heading on this voyage. Big display screen over the entrance into the bldg., showing us where our next Space Vacation could be taken. So many planets to choose from! (o; We see one being worked on, from a previous trip. Yep, they're still together. C-3PO as shiny as ever. They're so cute! One of the Worker Droids. Getting closer to the boarding docks. We're here! Ready to board and get to wherever we're going, lol! After the ride - the exit path guides you into an overpass. And I got to see how the crowd going in, was now MUCH BIGGER than when I first arrived. It pays to get up early, for a Disney park. (o: -

"NYC" Anthony Warlow, and Co. from the 2012 Broadway Revival of ANNIE It's old - it's corny - but in the right hands, it's still a pretty good musical all 'round.

And here's the other video I took on Day 3of our Tokyo Disney Resort visit. In Disney Sea at night. Jasmine's Flying Carpets is certainly nothing exciting or innovative when it comes to a Dumbo-like attraction. But the setting was wonderful, and there eve a viewing balcony, in back of the ride, for overhead shots and videos. Like this video. Dark, and LOT of Blue, but still pretty to watch in operation. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=MVI_2875_ua3b[/coastertube] Just a reminder - at the back is where the video was taken from. (o: -
We had bacon-wrapped salmon yesterday. Crisped in a fry pan, then baked in the oven. With a bit of maple syrup on it. It was awesome.

New construction photos posted of the Ratatouille area, from DisneyAndMore. Part of Gusteau's Restaurant. Moving over from Gusteau's to the main attraction show building. Main entrance on the right; FastPass entrance left of that; possible Single Riders Line door, as well. Costume Dept. building getting nice and semi-themed, lol. Only the part the GP will be able to see. Parisian storefront facades still going up, here. The fountain (yet to be) installed, will probably be the finishing touch to the area. And this is ready for Gusteau's Sign to be installed. Seen from Toy Story Land's Parachute ride. Ah, sight-lines... -

Here's a video I took from the exit platform, of Raging Spirits in TDS, on Day 3 at the Resort. Not too fancy, but am still learning my camera 'filming skills,' lol. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=MVI_2769_e86i[/coastertube] Amazing how slow the train goes through the actual loop of the coaster. -

Back from The Hotel Break - To TDS At Night Some parks look even more fantastic at night. Even carnival type set ups, like my little home park of Playland (asphalt and all), when the sun goes down and the lights come on - its just awesome to see. Tokyo DIsney Sea just ups the beauty of the themeing when the sun goes down, and it's lighting comes on. We went back to a fave dinner spot, for more of the same, lol. We also found out the showing of Fantasmic! that night would be "altered" and be a "toned down version" of itself. Meaning = winds were up, and the fireworks would be down. So we took a chance, skipped this night's showing, and hoped the weather would be better for tomorrow night. Back to the ball... er, The World Globe at TDS' entrance plaza. I see you, Mr.Nautilus, through the archway and at your little dock, inside Mysterious Island. And we took another 'tour' of Hightower Hotel, of course. (DbM) Another discovery! I totally forgot about this magnificent statue, behind the Broadway theatre marquee. Very nice. Yeah, we loved it. So much so, I believe we took two more "tours". A total of ....7 times? Yay! Our travelator deep within the mountain's center is #3! I like 3's. The ride's not too bad, either. (o; Getting dark now. Indiana Jones' temple looks nice in this darkness. And we head back to the Arabian Coast, for more of.... Beef Curry! With Extra Naan! We were blissed out with this awesome food. My take on Mermaid Lagoon. And The Mountain. We decided to take a night flight, on Jasmine's Flying Carpets. Just before take off... Lots of blues in the lighting, once you get going on it. Late at night, looking down a practically empty pathway in the Lost River Delta. The entrance to the "Mystic Rhythms" show. Next time, a day shot, heh heh. David's take on Mermaid Lagoon. (DbM) And The Mountain. (DbM) I think this was our 5th Tour of The Tower. (o: And then - returning to the hotel - in Ikspiari Mall - there was - Maurice... -
2014 TPR Tour Questionnaire is out!

I'm looking for the same ticket and at a bulkhead so you don't have someone reclining on you! I'm also working out extra time before and after the tour, so I can visit and stay with my buddy outside of Malmo, Sweden. He got me to the hotel for the start of the 2009 tour. We're hoping to repeat the scenario. -

~ After the MR show - and back to the hotel ~ So after we saw this great live show, we just meandered back and forth through the park, got on a couple of attractions we wanted to re-ride...and then, eventually, picking up valued Fast Passes for attractions after we came back to the park, after our couple of hours' break at the hotel room. So after "Mystic Rhythms" is over, it's just natural to explore around the Lost River Delta. Trekking back through Port Discovery, I got a day time shot of the outside of the Storm Riders attraction. It's quite the use of a "mass simulator", honest! And the wing-ding itself, gets my attention. I love the "airiness" of PD. Harnessing water and wind. Very cool. A Disney Sea Dude. One legged too! So one last look, for now.... The Globe with The Themeing... It's a BFF KIMONO Con! Really,so many colours & patterns squished together, lol. On the monorail back to the hotel, we passed by this lovely sculpture... Which is opposite where the amazing CIRQUE DE SOLEIL show, ZED happened. Sadly, it only lasted less than two years. The bldg.is empty now. (I saw the production in 2011) Back to where our tour began - the Room 653 View. And the parking lot IS filling up. Eep. But we come back with future treasures, ARRRRRR! (Too early for "Talk like A Pirate Day"?) The soundtrack is still amazing. Worth finding and buying. After a while, I sent David down to the lobby level to check out a wonderful Disney Artists' Gallery. This was in one of it's windows. (DbM) -

^ That's why I love repeating the visits to this particular resort, and especially Disney Sea. After the attractions, there is all this atmosphere to enjoy...and no Fast Passes needed, lol! I got to do that, a lot on this visit, through David's eyes as a first-timer, and myself looking for new stuff to enjoy. And I still haven't gone onto and explored that (*%^# GI-nornous ship docked right beside the American Waterfront! And then there's Magellan's Fortress and all that's in there... Next visits... -

I finally bought myself a copy of one of the versions of Holst's The Planets, by the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit. Been wanting this for years and years. Why I never got it sooner I have no idea. But I got it now!
