Yes and no. I heard something about it but didn't know there were two. Do you have any pets?

I love the idea of a completely solar powered amusement park but it makes me uncomfortable to think they'll be taking down so much forest land. Why don't they put them over the parking lot and then put the remainder in the forest? I hope other parks use solar power but put the panels over the parking lot. Small squished parks like SFDK wouldn't have any other option, anyway.

I went to the park yesterday (Single's Awareness Day) and the park was moderately busy (definitely busier than random January day I went) but not like crazy. I came late and didn't stay long. All I did was: most of Drench! (the margarita line took half an hour so I was late), Whitewater Safari (got pretty wet again, LOL. I think I might be able to determine that where you sit when the boats are loading determines whether you go under the waterfall... or I'm just unlucky), Oasis Club (yay for drinking alone on Valentine's Day!), Superman, Roar, Medusa. Medusa was running one train (the other getting refurbed), Kong was running one train (not worth the wait), and V2 was down for refurb. And OMGSUPERMANONLYRUNNINGONETRAINWHATT?? Highlight of the day: Medusa ride op was definitely on par with the quips. At one point he asked who came specifically for Valentine's day, then he asked who was celebrating Single's Awareness Day. Myself and a few others cheered really loud. LOL, singles unite!

Yes, some of the time Do you watch TV most days of the week?

^I don't remember which train it was but I rode in the front. From my past experience, the front was better but I think I need to revise that assessment. Here are my photos! Mainly from the animal shows Pink fountain for the cure Tiger show. So cute Wassup? Some type of hawk (raptor) Who? Weird looking bird God bless America My favorite show! Sorry for taking the video the wrong way. I was trying to Snapchat it. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

Was white water safari running? Oh yes, I rode it and got SOAKED. I did all of the water rides yesterday but Whitewater Safari soaked me the most. My first ever ride on Tsunami Soaker was a solo ride, but some cute kid went on the sprayer and sprayed me a little. It seems like a really fun ride (when there are people to spray instead of empty tubs). Also, I like Roar a LOT more now that it's been retracked. Although it's still not butter smooth and still not better than Gold Striker, it's really fun and has some nice moments of air. I rode Kong and didn't get my head bashed due to riding technique but the train was shaking itself to bits and it was not a pleasant ride. I rode Hammerhead and realized I don't really like rides like that, wonder if Dare Devil will be any better but probably not. I might have a few pictures to post but I don't have time to post them now.

It's always nice to see someone's fresh opinions of SFDK. Did you go to any of the shows? They're pretty cool too if you're into that. I've only ridden Wicked Twister once and V2 SFGAm once and I liked them a lot because they were fresh and different, but I had the feeling that if I rode them a lot more times so the freshness wore off, I would like our V2 better. So I kinda agree with you. I also like Roar. Haven't ridden it since the retrack (might go soon though) but I still liked it even when it was rough, although I didn't like the bottom of the first drop! It really has some surprisingly fun moments.

No. Do you think that the Superbowl is overrated?
-
^I agree. And everyone is different, some of the coasters you just mentioned don't hurt me. IDK if I have a higher tolerance for rough coasters or if I just have the right bodily dimensions/good luck that I don't get beaten up as much. I definitely can tolerate notoriously rough steel coasters better than notoriously rough wooden coasters (The last time I rode GhostRider was absolutely intolerable). There's like nothing you can do with a rough woodie. Sometimes I just don't even understand how two people can ride the exact same coaster at the same time and have two different experiences on it. I really dislike Riddler's Revenge and find it really rough, but the last time I rode with my friend she thought it was smooth and pleasant while I thought it was trying to kill me. In general, I can brace better than my friends so I generally have a better impression of my rides on Kong than they.

The last new Coaster in your Count

Speedy Gonzales at Magic Mountain. I know, I know. Shameful, but still fun -
If there's a "secret way" to ride a coaster to avoid a concussion, then it's a piece of sh*t. Omg huge point right there. I still somewhat like it for some strange reason and I ride it almost every time I go if the line is short. I just brace really hard and put my cheek into the OTSR to prevent ear bashing, I think sometimes I just brace hard enough I don't even do the cheek thing, and I'm developing theories about the optimal weather conditions to ride it. Lame, I know, and it's still so erratic that I never know if I'll come off regretting the ride or thinking it was great

Hello Alveys! I'm interested in working for an amusement park over the summer (basically either that or working at summer camp are my top options right now) and I know it'll be soon that I'd need to apply so I wanted to ask a few questions. Which parks offer employee housing? I know Cedar Point does but I heard that it's really crappy housing, and I read somewhere that Disney World has limited employee housing, but I'm not sure how hard it is to get into. I live in California but I'm interested in going out of state for the summer. Which parks or companies would be the most appealing to actually work for? How hard is it to get a job at Disney World? I've been browsing their summer internships but I don't think they've posted all of them yet and what they've posted so far I'm not really qualified for; I'm studying English and Math. Go figure. Also, do you know anything about working with animals at Seaworld? How hard is it to work into a whale trainer or dolphin trainer position? It's always been my dream to work with whales or dolphins but again, not sure if I'm qualified. Any information you might have about getting a summer job at an amusement park and the desirability of actually doing this is appreciated!

I think I know the answer but someone shared on Facebook that you can BAFF on Sundays in January and February and I was wondering if I could still take advantage of this even though I got my Gold Pass at Magic Mountain EDIT: Sorry I didn't look closely enough at the post before mine. I'm guessing it's a SFDK-only perk, I've never had this issue because I've always gotten my Gold Pass at SFDK but this year I got it at Magic Mountain

I just saw a non-enthusiast friend share a TPR video on Facebook. It made me really happy -
This. It's just a preference, guys. Chill. I know I'll love TC and I think everyone else will too. On my end, I'm gonna let the matter DROP. hahahhahaha! I saw some pictures today of the completed drop (not sure if it's a "TPR-approved" site so I'm not posting them) and it does look great. Seems like they've made a lot of progress!

I hate to be that girl but I was initially disappointed with TC's drop. I'm one of those people who really like steep, tall drops. Millennium Force is one of my favorite coasters because of the drop. I loved the drop on Goliath (SFGAm). However, I get what you all are saying about the ride and I know I won't be disappointed with TC at all. I think the airtime will make up for the drop for me. After falling in love with Goliath's inversions, I'm really excited for TC's! And great photo! It's nice to see this thing finally topped off (halfway).

Days where there's cheerleading/dance competition at SF:DK means the park will be jammed packed and lines that are normally 20 mins long in the "off-season" become 40 mins long at the shortest. Because families will only watch when their kid is doing something and siblings will be bored and go do the rides. Meanwhile the groups of performers will stand off to the side doing some final practice stuff. If its anything like these events at SFDK, expect very, very heavy crowds. I went once recently (I think during Fright Fest) when there was a cheer competition and the park wasn't too crowded. I can't remember exactly when it was, though, but it was a Sunday.

You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If....

Guilty! I did this on my friend's first time at Magic Mountain, I convinced her to go on one of the kiddie coasters I hadn't been on. She didn't really get it. When you have to drive a long distance and you make a pit stop at an amusement park just because you can (Driving I-5 and stopping at Magic Mountain just to ride X2 and then leave).
