  1. The one on the show was the Kalahari indoor water park. I've been there 3x and it really is awesome! There is also a carousel museum in Sandusky, and alot of people seem to like Put in Bay and Kelley's Island. (I've never been to any of these places though)
  2. This would be ideal to have the wait times posted like this (kinda how Disney has them posted in the middle of the park, but you wouldn't have to walk over there). It would come in handy say at SFNJ to see what the wait time is for El Toro while you are over on the Nitro side of the park and save the walk over there. Or at Disney when you want to hop to AK and you could check what the wait was for EE, and decide if you wanted to go over there or stay at the park you were at.
  3. I have said for years that the only thing that is going to help SOB is a match - taer it down! My husband rode it last month and just hated it. (and this is after riding it once last year, and swearing he'd never ride it again!)
  4. They are pissed you are collecting brochures???? WTF! There are worse things out there to be collecting....geez. Take care, Yeti (who must be lucky to have parents that also collect brochures and trade back and forth with them)
  5. YAHOO!!! And in time for CoasterMania! (Yeti does the happy yeti dance!!!!)
  6. They were sometimes referred to as "Blue Laws" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_law In Pennsylvania, car dealerships are also prohibited from being open on Sundays.
  7. CoasterMania is the 1st thing I thought of too, would suck if it wasn't open by then. (crossing fingers)
  8. Author David Hahner was there yesterday too. http://www.amazon.com/Kennywood-Images-America-David-Hahner/dp/073853563X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1241407097&sr=8-2
  9. We were there too. I felt this same jerky transition and when we asked the other people in our group, they didn't know what we were talking about! I do not remember that jerk at top the hill. It kinda went side to side, and was NOT enjoyable like the rest of the ride is. Overall the day was good. More crowded than I woulda liked, but we still enjoyed ourselves. There were a few large school picnics yesterday and they were a majority of the crowd. We still managed to stay open to close. The real pain in the a** was the traffic and construction leaving the park. It took us an hour just to get from the parking lot to the Rankin bridge, when that normally is a few minute drive.
  10. I was there in 1994/1995, and yep they had both campuses. I was out at Moon, although the football stadium was only being talked about when I left! I'm sure I wouldn't recognize the place now!
  11. Nice job - and an excellent subject! I am a fellow RMU graduate (although it was RMC back when I was there!!!) My major was TV production and I worked in the TV studio too, which I assume they still have. Is Jim Seguin still there? He was my professor back then.
  12. Just bought Depeche Mode's new album that came out today - it is AWESOME!!!
  13. I agree - our group is more than willing to split up to save the time. Our rule of thumb is just "meet up at the exit". I mean, how much do you really talk to the person next to you while your riding anyway? Other than buying the picture, what's the difference who you are beside (especially in individual seats, not like your even bumping into the other person!)
  14. Looks like they could've used more people to fill the trains. I would've gladly volunteered!!! I can't wait to ride this ride!
  15. Sounds like we ought to get there this year before it closes again.
  16. Ah, that would explain it! I was there in June 2004. Sucks that they spent the money to rehab it and then it gets water logged. But like you said, it's just a lawn ornament now.
  17. I thought it was just ok when I rode it in 2004. I just remember a huge pothole in it towards the end of the ride that was a huge OUCH!
  18. They had a mobile website set up last year at m.cedarpoint.com for us non IPhone users. I agree that the most useful thing would be wait times. Show times and food locations...meh, I can find that myself.
  19. For a second, I had to look at the date and make sure it wasn't April Fools Day!
  20. Hi Mike! I hope this counts as our picture together for 2009 - not at a park, but at Eastcoaster 2009 (page 232) Pam and Big Mike PS. Mike, I finally finished that new 2008 coaster DVD I was telling you about - check it out: www.CoasterDVDsOnline.com
  21. Thanks for posting. I usually only ride Boomerangs only once for the credit, so I'll have to see if I actually ride this more than once. That would be the real test for me!
