  1. ^I agree with you about Hertrsheypark, especially with the Sooperdooperlooper, it seems like a train goes out every 25-30 seconds or so [maybe not THAT quick, but it seems it]..The only coaster that doesnt have too good dispatch times IMO is the Comet, not only does the line get HUGE, it moves slow because of the dispatches. Although the buzz bars are a little more trobulesome than regular lap bars it seems, so maybe that has something to do with it.
  2. Because if it tasted bad, after people ate it they would get malaria. Why is Sarah Silverman's voice so annoying and high-pitched?
  3. Vekoma, after which he took over the entire company. As his first order of business, he decided to send all of the Boomerangs and SLC's to...
  4. Great Escape- Dispatching one train every 5+ minutes on the all-of-30 seconds Steamin Demon, and having the ride operators be the ones to put your restraint down. -Only letting 2 cars run on at a time on the Alpine Bobsled, when the wait is almost always 20-25 minutes or more -Having the Condor never open, especially now that its the most thrilling flat in the park [Just plain sad] -Not adding a non-kiddie flat ride since the Huss Pirate that came in 1994..but removing about 20 since then. Hersheypark- Running one train on the Comet when the queue is through almost every switchback.
  5. -Ben Affleck..my dad's cousin's family is friends with his family, got his autograph in 2005 when I was at a family reunion and they asked him to come. The way they are is just plain wierd. The bought his grandfathers house and moved into it, and they got to know his family, as well as him. They have his grandfathers ashes on their mantle..I dont know how they got them exactly, but its realy wierd IMO. -Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning I've seen..I was an extra in War of The Worlds when it was flmed about 45 minutes from my house in December of 2004. I thought it would be realy cool to be able to say I was in a movie, but it really wasnt that big of a deal, and it wasnt fun at all. 1000 people were able to be extras and we had to stay up from 8pm to 6am for 2 nights, some people for 3, it was really bad.
  6. Star& US Weekly, thats pretty much it.
  7. to Shapiros brain, and he immediately cancelled the plans for the new Six Flags park. But, after experiencing such trauma to his head, something clicked in his brain and he realized that Wiggles World and Thomas Town are NOT family areas, the are KIDDIE areas. So after being enligtened about that, he decided to...
  8. I've never been on the Canyon River Rapids, but Im gonna be at Hersheypark around the first weekend of July and want to make sure I get to go on it. One thing about it is I've never really been able to figure out where the queue starts. Like when you go towards the Midway and Boardwalk you pass by the really long switchbacks, but I never see the acgtual enterance...where is it? And my other question, when will it close?
  9. Great Escape-IT hasnt gotten a new flat ride that was not a kiddie ride since 1994, which was a Huss Pirate. We've also lost a ton of flat rides since Six FLags took over such as -The Rainbow -The Tornado [it was a dark ride thing] -Ghost town Train -Nightmare -Rotor -Sky Lab Without any replacements. However, Great Escape has gained in the past 5 years- -Looney Tunes National Park -Prosilde Tornado -Canyon Blaster [Oprylands old Rock'n Roller Coaster] -Wiggles World Most all of the flat rides have also been tamed down a ton...The Condor goes amazingly slow, and runs for about 30 seconds, the Trabant no longer goes backwards, neither does the Cannonball Express [Music Express] The Rainbow was very tamed down, no airtime really and failry short cycle. Nothing can relaly be said for kiddie rides. Also, the Rainbow and Condor have received seatbelts [Complete mystery as to why they were added on the Condor], the Rainbow had a no single ride rule put into place, same thing for the Trabant.
  10. About having 3 trains, I believe Mindbender and its cousin at SFoT both had 3 trains, but were only capable of running 2 at a time. Not 100% sure though.
  11. 9 3rd Graders in Georgia came up with a plan to kill their teacher for revenge because she disiplined one of their classmates. They brought handcuffs and ducttape to school, and two of them brought a paperweight and a knife. How could 3rd graders think of that? Thats some really messed up Sh!t if you ask me.
  12. I've been told a few times by my cousin that the Cyclone at Six Flags New England jumps off the tracks at one point during the ride, which obvciously isnt true. My friend once said to me that they were going to make it so the Condor at Great Escape dropped down from the top, and that its always closed because they know no one will go on it. ^Really, its just a maintanance nightmare, and thats impossible to do that.

  14. Anytime I'm at a park with a Schwarzkopf coaster which has only a lapbar, someone ALWAYS says while queueing- -Did you know someone fell out of this during the loop? -This ride only has lapbars and it goes upside down?!?! The other day, I was arguing with this girl on Youtube about the Sooperdooperlooper. Apparently, a bunch of people have fallen out, and you have to go to the pennsylvania archives to find stories about it, because they cover things like that up so you wont be able to find it ANYWHERE on the internet. And also it hasnt been "upgraded" since it opened. I've also heard many times that the Sooperdooperlooper had more than one loop when it opened. Also when people say Loop-de-loop, it really bothers me for some reason, idk why.
  15. Mean Creek: 9/10 I love this movie so much, everyone I've talked to said they had never heard of it, but you HAVE to see it. It actually made me tear up at some parts, and I thought it was really um...powerful and very very good. The Invisible: 7/10 Its a really good movie, it just seems like the main point of the movie [The main character being "invisible"] only lasted about 20 seconds. If you've ever seen Awake, you'll most likely know what I mean.
  16. Which then rained down petitions to stop adding so many kiddie rides to Great Escape. After Mark Shapiro saw one of the flyers, he decided to...
  17. Heres the 2 worst experiences I've had. -Waiting for Superman at Six Flags New England for 2 hour on a super hot day which was bad enough, but the best part was when it broke down when we were 3 trains away. It was down for about 45 minutes, so we just waited, but still it was really bad. I was lucky though, in the way that it could have been alot longer. -Queueing for the Comet at Hersheypark for 2 hours because my brother wanted to wait, on a day where Great Bear and Storm Runner were both around an hour, Lightning Racer, Sidewinder, Wildcat, Trailblazer & Wild Mouse were all 20 minutes or less, and SDL was a walk-on. Comet was running one train though, with all the switchbacks filled along with 2 overflow. I have no idea at all as to how the Comet gets such a huge line, and it never seems to gets smaller. I mean its a good ride but theres alot better coasters at Hersheypark IMO.Anyone got any ideas about that? I'd really like to know.
  18. I work at this restaurant, Five Guys, and I hate it. It's not that its bad, I'm just not that good with dealing with people. Like when someone says "My Hot Dog was ____[insert problem]", what I WANT to say is "Get over it, you bought it, its not my problem anymore!" But what I HAVE to say is "Ok, would you like me to take it back." Some of the people you have to deal with are soo frustrating, but I guess thats what you have to deal with when you work at a cash register job. Anyone else feel the same way I do about that kind of job?
  19. I hate the fact that my favorite band ever, Third Eye Blind hasn't had a new song in over 4 years I also hate how "Everything's Magic" by Angels & Airwaves is played 1000 times a day on every radio station around. I mean, I love that song, but it gets old...
  20. Don't drive [yet] When was the last time you watched something on Comedy Central?
  21. I'm going to Florida to visit my grandparents this upcoming week, and they live right near International Drive, and I am planning on going to Magical Midway one afternoon. The main reason I want to go is to ride the StarFlyer, but is there anything there that I should make sure to get on? Also, if anyone has been on the StarFlyer already, is it scary?
  22. Weber, I think. That company is gone now[i think.] A.R.M. are horrible, I've been on one, I hated the OTSRs, expecially on that type of ride. And Condors being carnival rides? I can't imagine how many trailers it would take to move that. I've only ever heard of one, the Ikarus one thats not used anymore. Great Escapes Condor is always down, or it seems like that. It's soo slow and IMO should just be removed and placed with something better. Now that I think of it though, since Six Flags has owned Great Escape, the Rainbow, Condor and the Pirate have all be tamed down a ton. If anyones ever been on La Ronde's Condor and seen how fast that thing is, Great Escapes used to be good like that. Same with the Rainbow. There used to be quite a bit of airtime on that, solo riders could ride and there wasnt any seatbelts. The Pirate used to have alot longer cycle too.
  23. It took a really long time for the Rainbow to stop too, about 15 minutes. I would hate being stuck on that, you can only take the Rainbow for so long. That kind of happened to me on the Huss Pirate they have there. The wheel under the boat that makes it swing..it broke. And it just kept swinging for what seemed like forever. Like 10 people puked, it was about 100 degress out and I was really thirsty [i had planned to get a drink right after getting off].Yeah, worst ride experience ever. As much as I like Huss Rides, they seem to break down alot. Like Great Escapes Condor was open about 3 times this whole season, you can never tell if it will be open when you go or not. It will be working fine for a few days, then be closed for 2 months, its ridiculous. But Great Escapes doesnt matter that much anyone, its horribly slow, short and takes FOREVER to load [the un-needed seatbelts made that worse]. One thing I REALLY like about Huss Rides though, are the very minimal restraints on most of them, IMO it makes them even better.
  24. ^How long has Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom had theirs? the Rainbow at Great Escape has been there since 1987, but there was a Ranger before it which came in 1982, and I heard that they are almost identical in the way they are built, so I think maybe they might have just "transfomed" [the only word I can think of] the Ranger into the Rainbow. I love Huss Rides in general, one of my favorites is the Condor. But only when its run right, Great Escapes is terrible. It's incredibly slow, has a short cycle and SEATBELTS were added in 2004. Not good. But like La Rondes Condor, that thing is crazy, it goes soo fast, and what I like most is when the arms stop spinning and just the wheels with the cars spin, then the cars just don't swing out, they stay out
