I agree wit Capitalize. I bumped the thread back up to tell everyone that SFA is announcing something huge soon, not to say, Hey guys lets trash the park some more! So if you want to trash the park, your going to have to wait until after the announcement or you came in to late. In other news, On the facebook page, someone mentioned that SFA has several approved rides that were never put it, like a enclosed coaster!!! He also mentioned that the park doesnt need the county's approval to build portable style flats. AND the park doesnt need any approvals to replace Two Face. So obviously since Two Face is still standing, No buyers have been found. -

C'mon guys I said lets not get our hopes way up! lol A HRP coaster is 1 very good example of getting our hopes way up! BUT, if SFA were lucky enough to buy one of those coasters then that would be great! But lets get back to reality and just expect something new, not big nor small, just new, so that when we hear this announcement we are just thankful that SFA is still open, and not disappointed that we didnt get what most people expected -

OMG! According to my "sources" Six Flags America is getting ready to announce a HUGE announcement sometime soon. The article from the park's Facebook page mentioned that "If you thought the concerts we have are big - just wait - because this is even BIGGER!" I wonder what this announcement could be! But lets try not to get our hopes way up there. Most likely we are just getting something Entertainment related. Not a Terminator Coaster lls So guys what do you think about this? Do you think its just a big way of announcing the performers for the STNCS or something totally different? -

I agree with coastercrazy! This really looks like it could turn up to e a very nice park. Also, the Naruto(however you spell it) coaster looks awesome! I actually liked the zero-g roll how it was originally, but I guess it would be dangerous lol. Keep up the good work -

Thats not necessarily the parks fault that the line was long for season passes, and that when you got to the front your zip code was not recognized. The line is nobodies fault really, and so is the zip code. Now this is in fact the parks fault. Some of the employees at the park, or anywhere for that matter, are not always on their A-game. Even sometimes during my short 2 1/2 job, I got irritated by a guest. But throwing trash is unheard of. And I've never heard that staff throw trash at a guest, EVER. And as for the cellphones, REPORT IT! As a SFA employee, if you have your phone in the park while working, even if your not using it, calls for INSTANT TERMINATION, which means goodbye job lol. And even though I did not throw trash at you, or am I in the park management staff that replies to letters, but I apologize for your troubles and hope you come back one day and I'll make your day at the park frickin sweet! lol Well in the fall, I was working by then and if you came to any of my games, then I know you wouldn't have said that. I like to crack jokes and sing on the mic. And I always get compliments on my customer service, even if a guest is a complete @$$ to me, I always have a smile! -

^thanks for sharing! but that comment was completely irrelevant to YOUR OPINION OF THE 08 SEASON. You dont have an opinion if you've never been there. And you should always try something before you knock it. -

Tower of Doom isn't going nowhere, atleast anytime soon. Batwing and Skull Mountain actually have had some really good days this year. I think out of all the times I visited the park, Batwing has been open. Skull Mountain ran great early in the season, but then started having some problems but it did better at being open this year than last. And Jcoaster, I can agree with you. If the park woke up and started adding rides to the rides section, then maybe the park could look alittle better when compared to other parks here in America. -

Well I decided to bring my beloved thread back from the dead just in time for Christmas! I'd like to say that overall, I think 2008 was one of the better years the park has had. (because I worked there lls) But seriously I think that some things the park did, like close Hurricane Mountain for Tony Hawks Halfpipe, was stupid, BUT the park also improved by adding those huge advertisment boards, and they handled the whole fire incident pretty well. Some people think that the burnt down building was there for a long time before TPR visited the park, BUT actually, the fire broke out not even a week before TPR came. The wreckage was then cleared out shortly after. Just clearing that up. What do you think the park did this year? good or bad since alot of you like to downgrade the park lol. -
Best Ride and Coaster Names
SFAfan#1 replied to Thelegendarymatthew's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1) Batwing hands down the best name for a Batman themed coaster (even if it has no actual themeing) 2) Two Face: the Flipside has to be one of the coolest names for an inverted boomerang. 3) Fahrenheit 4) Kingda Ka 5) The Renegade 6) Tatsu 7) Goliath 8) Afterburn 9) Jokers Jinx 10) De Ja Vu I had more than 10 so..... 11) Hydra 12) Medusa 13) Kumba 14) Nitro 15) Max RPM 16) Nemesis These aren't in any particular order, just in order from when I thought of it. (excluding Batwing and Two Face) -

I really like this one. Very realistic custom flats. For a sec I thought the red virus was a real RCT2 ride lol. Cant wait for the next update! -
Q1) Male Q2) 15 Q3) Steel Q4) Seated Q5) Batwing at SFA Q6) The first drop Q7) The height, # of inversions and speed Q8) less scary but still thrilling Q9) no Q10) no Q11) I'd rather see the ride before waiting in line for it because the wait might not be worth the actual ride. Q12) short ride/short queue Q13) not really
-
The ride looks ugly now. They should of just gave in a fresh coat of red and blue. Same for Medusa over at SFGADv. Im not enjoying that blue paint so much either. Now Im glad that the odds of a coaster being "upgraded" at SFA are really slim. Whats next, a pink Wild One with fire and a soundtrack? lol

SFAfan#1 replied to Goliath513's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What?!?! You like Ninja better than Big Bad Wolf?!?! I like Ninja too but Big Bad Wolf dominates all Arrow swinging coasters. (or whatever they are called lol) And it seems like everytime somebody from TPR goes to SFA, the have a terrible time. But when I used to go all the time (before I started working there) I would always have a great time. It might be because since you guys have been to all these huge great parks like SFGADv, CP, SFMM, etc. you expect alot more from theme parks. -
Two- Face at Six Flags America
SFAfan#1 replied to tanthonyam's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was trying to find the discussion in the Six Flags America thread but I cant find it. Well Two Face is going not because it doesn't work anymore, or that it would cost the park too much to get it started, thank the media for all of the crazy news reports and basically calling it a death trap, when it really isn't. If you check Youtube, theres a new video showing Two Face testing on Nov. 6, 2008 whih was last thursday, so obviously they could just re-open it, but the media scared away the guests and gave SFA a worse rep. -

That would be a great improvement to the park, and the odds of SFA getting Led Zep are -0.0009 to 1,000,000 lol but I know for a fact that SFA is not closing atleast anytime soon. But if times get even harder, then SFI would most likely close us and SFKK down, SFKK first though. -

SFA has alot of shows but they are all good, especially during Fright Fest. But a new ride instead of a stage would be nice too lol.
