Only people that have been to Fright Fest know it existed. It was a the parks only haunted house left because Brutal Planet turned into a giant storage bubble Here's a link to another report, some more pics, and even some videos of the blaze. -

OMFG!!!!!! There was a report that the Frightorium (Hall Manor) haunted house at SFA burned to the ground today. From the reports, it looks like nobody was injured. This was the park's only haunted house attraction and now Fright Fest might suck even more than usual. ^this picture shows the damage to the building. Good thing they controlled the blaze before it could spread to Roar which is only a couple of feet away from the building. If anyone was at SFA today and was an eyewitness, please share your stories. I find this story kind of creepy since we were just recently talking about how much Fright Fest at SFA sucks because the lack of scary attractions. I really hope SFA does something about this and try to rebuild it before Fright Fest, or build a new haunted house somewhere in the park. -

We also lost Krypton Comet (chaos) and maybe Hurricane Mountain (slides behind Tony Hawks Halfpipe) I never got to ride Sky Escaper because I was too short when we actually did have it. I really wanted to ride it since it looked so fun. I regret skipping the enterprise at Carowinds I remember Iron Eagle though. That was my 2nd favorite flat, next to Krypton Comet. When Krypton Comet was there, I rode it atleast 5 times a day. I really liked that and was sad when they removed it. SFA is slowly removing every ride in the park, next up is Two Face/Avalanche/ and Hurricane Mt -

Thursday July 24, 2008! I was at the park on Thursday from 11 - 6 and boy was it a great day! First, when we arrived, we headed straight to the best ride in the park, with the worst dispatch times.....BATWING! Surprisingly the wait was only around 30 minutes (which is good for Batwing) lol. Next we rode Superman, and since there was no wait at all, we rode it 3 more times! Awesome ride BTW. I can feel the speed difference from the red trains and the blue train. The blue train goes alot faster than the red train. It might be hard to believe but next time your at SFA, watch the red train go over the airtime hills, then watch the blue one. Trust me there is a difference! lol. Anyways, after Superman, we skipped Joker for some lunch, then went over to Southwest Territory to ride Wild One, Tower of Doom, and Falling Star. The only coaster in the park that decided to make lockers mandatory today was Wild One! That pissed me off because I hate buying those lockers. So I hid my things and rode the ride. Then later in the day I rode it about 10 more times since there was absolutely no wait. After I left Southwest Territory, we headed to Skull Mountain. It was 90* all day on thursday so that dirty brown water felt really good. lol Then after drying off, we rode ROAR. Man that ride is fun. I dont know why people say its rough, only one part feels rough and uncomfortable to mae and thats the last turn into the brakes. The half-tunnel thing is as smooth as glass though. Then after Roar, we rode Rodeo (that cow ride in Coyote Creek) and then Mind Eraser. We were going to get on Renegade Rapids but we changed our minds since the line was long as slow. After leaving Coyote Creek, we strated riding some flats like The Octopus, Riddle Me This, Cyclone, High Seas, and Pirates Flight. After we realized we rode basically every ride except Jokers Jinx, we went back into Gotham to ride it, then rode Superman again for the 4th time. Also when we were leaving, we were surprised to see the trams going since hardly anyone was there. Ride Board: Batwing - 1 Superman - 4 Joker - 1 Wild One - lost count lol more than 10 Roar - 1 Mind Eraser - 1 All flats that were listed in TR excluding Octopus and Tower of Doom - 1 Octopus - 2 Tower of Doom - 3 Wild One surprisingly got stuck at arounf 3:00!!! I've never seen Wild One stuck before but it was stuck Thursday![/b] -

Most Likely since I think thats the only house on that side of the park. I could take some pics when I get on Wild One next time I go. They should! I've always thought that it could be used as a haunted house. SFA is in desperate need of another haunted house since we lost Brutal Planet and Frightorium/Hall Manor's queue is always 1 hr+ every year. -

That ride is still closed and I wont plan on seeing it running for a long time. -
I think the best pre-lift will be the one from that new coaster for Thrope Park. It looks like alot of fun. The best pre-lift to me now, would be any coaster that launches straight up (Kingda Ka, TTD, Stealth, etc). Those build up so much anticipation before the ride actually begins. I also like Hydra's and Nemesis Inferno's pre-lifts.

I know I'm going to post a trip report and hopefully ride Superman since I havent rode it in about 3 weeks I also might go again on Thursday but only for the concert since alot of my friends are going to see Mario. Again I'll post a trip report but I probably wont talk about rides, just the quality of the concert. -

They used to have like one row designated for flashpass (i think) If they did that, then that would be better than it is now. -

^Yeah I agree with you 100% with the locals not caring about slow operations. I go to SFA atleast 2 times a week and I always have fun, whether I ride all the coasters or just hangout with friends. I also think the "ghetto" statements are kind of racist since alot of black people (including myself) live around and visit SFA. I think people just shouldn't call a mainly black area park ghetto because that can start up some really crazy comment wars. -
