Six Flags America (SFA) Discussion Thread

That depends on who is performing. I was there when Aly and Aj were performing and the lines were extremely short. I think you said you were going on the 16 (am i right?) and if thats true then expect crowds because alot of the teens are going to be there to see Mario. SFA is not ghetto to me since I've been around these parts all my life. Some people think its ghetto but honestly, they don't know ghetto. Ghetto is when your at a park and you would have to run to your car and hope your radio is still there. SFA is nowhere near that. The most ghetto thing you might see is a bunch of kids cursing and hitting each other. Who hasn't seen that though. Since alot of area teens are going to be there that day, they might start joaning on each other and yell really loud at the person next to them, but just ignore them and enjoy your day. They are just trying to get attention. Like babies lol. Honestly KD is alot more ghetto than SFA. Since you'll be there whenm Mario will, I would go to Wild One, Roar and Mind Eraser first. Then around 7, when everyone is at the concert, hit up Batwing, Superman, and Joker because they wont have lines. I did that at the Bobby Valentino concert last year, boy was that a great idea! 5 back-to-back rides on Batwing with barely a line. -

Thats a great idea. Also hardly anybody goes to the park at opening on a weekday so nothing should have lines that early. Not even the waterpark, I'd recomend trying the Halfpipe out. Its a great ride and you can ride with your regular clothes on. -
Roller coasters and body trembling

Hypersonic XLC When I rode it last year, I wasnt nervous in the line, but as soon as the ride moved to the launch, I was sweating, my heart was racing, and I was too scared to scream! Waiting for the ride to launch felt alot longer than it really was. I was shaking afterwards and rode it again. I miss that ride When I got stuck on Mind Eraser at SFA last week, I was shaking after I got off because the ride op tightened my restraint way too tight. My legs were so numb I left without riding Superman! Dont know if this counts though lol. -

If you go on a Saturday, then all of the coasters will have huge lines. Roar is probably your only exception from huge lines. Wild One's line will move fast. Everything else will take some time. On weekdays and Sundays, Batwing will be the only huge line. Go there first. Superman and Joker will also have lines, but they won't get as long as Batwing, so ride those two next. Then choose either to ride Wild One or Roar and Mind Eraser next. They shouldn't have crazy lines since most of the gp stay in Gotham all day. -

^Im not sure about breakdowns being similar to Chiller, but everytime I go to SFA, its been open, but whenever someone else from the forums goes, its closed! Keep an eye out for Joker because you never know when it will randomly close/open. It makes a very loud noise also. -

If you really want to go, I'd lie to him lmao. Tell him that the rides are awesome but the park management is some @#$%! (which is true) He might want to go then but if not, then lie your @$$ off. -

I wouldn't care if I didn't like the ride, just knowing that they still care about the park enough to add a new coaster is good enough for me. Also that could bring more people into the park. -

Yeah, SFI needs to step their game up with SFA. Im tired of losing so many attractions and not gaining any. SFA is probably the only park I can go to and get bored. -

I've already been on Batwing which is just like Nighthawk so I most likely won't ride that. Is Afterburn and Nighthawk the only good rides there? -

^If you are looking to get all the credits then leave, head straight to Batwing. Lines for that are always 30+ minutes everyday. Everything else should be manageable, unless you go on a holiday or Saturday. If you go on a holiday or Saturday, get flashpasses!!! Two Face most likely won't open so don't get your hopes up -

If they remove Two Face then thats when I'll finally believe when people say that SFI is slowly getting rid of SFA and will become the new Geauga (did I spell it right) Lake. -

If X doesnt count then Big Bad Wolf at BGE gets my vote. Canyon Blaster at Circus Circus is second. -

^Oh yeah, and now all of the coasters are operating two trains. Even Batwing! Some days they even manage to use both sides of Batwing's station. Two Face still hasn't opened and when they finally re-open it, that should calm down some of the line problems. Even on weekdays, lines are long. -

If anyone has heard of the upcoming MTVU concert series, then you might not know that SFA is scheuled as one of the concert stops on August 19! According to SFAfan.com bands/performers by the name of: Boys like Girls Metro Station All Time Low Katy Perry are scheuled to perform at SFA on August 19. This will also be recorded and showed on MTV! I will update this forum when I recieve more info on this awesome anouncement. -
That was a dumb idea. I dont really feel bad for the kid, I feel bad for his family. Who the hell jumps over two 6ft tall fences to do whatever he was planning on doing in there. He should of ducted when he saw the coaster coming by. I saw on screamscape, that it was 2 boys, one ducted and the other got hit and slammed into the support. They were talking about he wanted to take a short-cut back into the park. CAN YOU SAY DUMBASS! sorry if someone already stated these facts.

Getting stuck on a ride!
SFAfan#1 replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In 2006, I got stuck on 2 different rides! The first was Skull Mountain (Typhoon Sea Coaster) at SFA. We were going up the final lift into the skull for the finale, then it just stopped about half way up! It was really hot that day and we were stuck for almost 45 minutes lol. Then at BGE, I got stuck on The Curse of DarKastle. We were going through the ride and it all of a sudden stopped facing some weird statue. Then the ride moved again and we got to the next screen and it was blank. We just sat at the screen moving left to right, hearing the noises and nothing happened. I was so weird. lol -

^ Like Adventure Park USA or Six Flags America and did you go to the Virginia Beach Amusment Park? I was going to ride the Skyscraper, but it was $20. Way out of my price range lol. -
SFA all the way! There is BGE and KD near SFA, so if you don't like SFA (which hardly anyone does but me) just go down to KD for the rest of the day, then you'll be closer to BGE for the next day and will get to spend more time at that park! If you go to SFA, I recomend getting there early and head straight to Batwing, the lines for that coaster reach up to 45 min to 1 hr long. Then go to Superman and Joker's Jinx. Those also have pretty long lines all day. The rest of the park is a walk-on.

Those rides look so fun! I didnt know some of those even existed.
