  1. It's a polish food so you really only find it in area's with a large population of Polish-Americans like Pittsburgh or Detroit(Hamtramck really), my cousins are half Polish and their dad/my uncle used to get these amazing ones from these little old ladies who made them in some church kitchen in the West End.
  2. I like the idea of a Simpsons 4D simulator ride but I would have rather seen a King of the Hill one.
  3. I broke a rib towards my back after getting checked playing hockey on a frozen street after a ice storm, it hurt like hell for weeks.
  4. x-entertainment is a great site and he is right on about how much fun getting drunk in Epoct is we did it for my cousin's birthbay back in december and it was such a blast it might become an annual thing.
  5. The Hippies have to go down as one of the worst winning teams ever they came in last twice, benefited big in mid-leg bunching points and always seemed to have tickets for booked flights open up at the last minute. I don't think the top 4 teams from this season was have gotten that far in past seasons since there was so many weak teams at the start and this race was nowhere near as challenging as past ones, hopefully things will pick up in the fall since they hired someone who designs the Survivor challenges to design ones for The Amazing Race.
  6. The Metro Detroit area needs a theme park big time I didnt live up here when Boblo Island was still open but from what I have heard it was a decent park when they kept out the Detroit street gangs and the Canadian motorcycle gangs out but that didnt happen that often. It sucks all we have is a crummy State Fair for a month and a few water slides run by parks departments. I'm sure if someone ever did try to build a park up here Cedar Fair would do everything in its power to stop it since so many of their Cedar Point vistors come from the Detroit area.
  7. There is no museum but the park is sorta like a museum with rides like Noah's Ark, Turtle, Auto Race, Whip, Jack Rabbit, Racer, Thunderbolt and the Merry Go Round. That is what's so great about Kennywood kids are having fun on the same rides their grandparents, great grandparents and even some great great granparents did.
  8. I think a 5th gate will happen sooner rather than later because Disney wants people on their property for the whole 7 day vacation and a 5th park would tie people up with Disney parks and waterparks for 6 days with the 7th(really two half days) for travel so a vacation would look something like this. Sunday - Arrive take Disney bus to hotel check in head off to AK Monday - MK Tuesday - 5th park/evening at Downtown Disney Wednesday - One of the waterparks Thursday - Disney MGM Studios/evening at Boardwalk Friday - Epcot Saturday - MK for 1/2 day then return home
  9. I always wanted thought a Simpsons ride in the style of Spiderman at IOA would be money.
  10. The move to 10 pm hurt it alot more than the Family Edition.
  11. I did 3 in 1 day back in December and I was pretty much dead the next few days but I got to ride everything I wanted many times over because it was mid-week cold and raining on and off.
  12. The Pirates of the 70's never wore the jersey you showed and the gold they used was never that neon looking. Here is what the Bucco's wore in the late 70's http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/exhibits/online_exhibits/dressed_to_the_nines/detail_page.asp?fileName=nl_1979_pittsburgh.gif&Entryid=1390
  13. Popular Mechanics debunked alot of the 9/11 myths last year here is a link to the site. http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html?page=1&c=y
  14. I got my tickets in the mail today for the first two rounds at The Palace of Auburn Hills, if I can snag a camera from someone I will post some pics from the games.
  15. I'm hoping Pitt ends up playing the first two rounds at The Palace of Auburn Hills outside of Detroit so I can go to the games. Ray Allen of Villanova has the vision back in his eye and has a good chance of playing in the NCAA tourney. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2363644
  16. I have had Sirius for a few years now and its great and I would take it over XM any day, Sirius is worth it just for Radio Bam and the Wiseguys Show that isnt counting the NFL, NBA, NHL, tons of college sports, a great lineup of music & talk and the local weather and traffic.
  17. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060220/METRO/602200306 Eveyone is hoping this is just bluffing but I have a feeling it is going to close since there is no way the Mayor or City Council would up and sell the Zoo and the property to someone like Oakland County(where it is located) or a private company.
  18. Here are the rest I didnt take that many during the game. The Super Bowl is amazing and if anyone ever has a chance to go watch their team in it do it the experience is once and a lifetime and worth every penny. The party went on outside all night. And the party keeps going. The party begins. This is called the Victory formation. The Rolling Stones, I only watched a little bit because I wanted to get something to eat. The opening kickoff. Coin Toss, I think Tom Brady used a two headed coin. National Anthem. Ford Field was a sea of Terrible Towel's.
  19. I will post some more later today or tomorrow.
  20. I got lucky and landed a ticket at a decent price to see the Steelers make history at Ford Field and the best part was the game was only 30 miles from where I live. I'm not much of a picture taker and/or phtoshop expert but here are some pics from Super Sunday. The Steelers going over the plays I guess & the ABC pre-game show set. More warm-up's. Willie Parker, Jerome Bettis & ? greeting some fans. Big Ben during warm-up's I knew he was going to have a bad game because he was one of the first guys out for warm-up's. First thing you see when you enter the stadium. Ford Field or Heinz Field West home of Super Bowl XL. Even former Steeler great and member of the Hall of Fame Mel Blount had to pass through security. The line to get into Ford Field, the security checkpoint and where they scanned your tickets was on the other side of the baseball stadium. My ticket to Super Bowl XL!
  21. I bought a car that was in a flood back when I was in high school and it ran fine because it was in a fresh water flood and the water lever never got high enough to damage the engine, any car that was in a salt water flood should be sent off to the junkyard.
  22. This kicks so much ass, now do I pay god knows what for a ticket since it's right down the road from me.
  23. Add me to the Mission Space is overrated list but I really love that Mission Control game near the gift shop.
  24. If you are going to be in Pittsburgh you don't want to miss Kennywood it's a great park and you will regret it if you don't go. The closest parks to Kennywood are a waterpark Sandcastle which is down the road a bit & Idlewild in Ligonier, PA which is about a hour drive away both parks are owned by Kennywood. Knoebels is northwest of Philly and about a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive from Pittsburgh and out of the way for someone taking the easy way to Philly from Pittsburgh via the PA Turnpike.
  25. $63 plus tax along with $9 to park for one day is alot for Animal Kingdom and Disney/MGM Studios and that does not include the $35 if you want to park hop.
