  1. Magic Tubes by Chris Joss
  2. I'd love to see a Mardi Gras section. There's a lot of potential for interesting ride themes; throw in a unique restaurant and a show (or perhaps some sort of show/parade hybrid) and you're set. Plus, it'd be fun and colorful. I love fun and colors! That said, before they add another section I think they should fill in the Thanksgiving area with a few more attractions. It may be tough filling that area in though. As much as I love HW I feel Thanksgiving is simply too spread out and feels disconnected from the rest of the park, and not just because it's down the hill.
  3. This looks like a fun ride! Good job covering the event, Gisco!
  4. It indeed was an awesome weekend. The work they did on Voyage has made a huge difference, and after the storm blew through Saturday night I got the best ride I've ever had on it. I'm surprised Daren, Chris and Max aren't deaf from my screaming like a little girl through the whole ride. During the storm I marathoned Legend for an hour (with the awesome Stephan) which was equally insane. Jo gave rise to Bon Qui Qui and Jessie got to re-live the joys of riding on her terms on Eagle's Flight. I love Jessie So ready for next year!
  5. I won't say what I told the TPR crew my theory is on what those hands are praying for. It rhymes with really good, um, flick. Photo walkbacks start soon and more ERT tonight. Everything's been great so far!
  6. Even though I rank my two favorite B&M hypers (Apollo's Chariot and Goliath south) above any of their inverts, I still gave my vote to inverts. Why? Their best inverts are more consistent in giving good rides than their best hypers, which can be hit-or-miss.
  7. 1. Leviathan 2. X-Flight 3. Parc Asterix invert (Even though I won't get to ride it in the foreseeable future I' m still excited about the idea of it and its general existence ) 4. Sky Rush 5. Wild Eagle I'm still unsure about Verbolten, it'll probably be great but I need to see more. And I guess it's safe to say 2012 is shaping up to be B&M's year.
  8. Superman Krypton Coaster for me, followed by Medusa west, Hydra, and Dominator.
  9. This looks amazing on every level. Glad SFGAm got something substantial finally! And that it's in comparative spitting distance to me as this year's other big new coasters. Definitely hitting Chicago next year!
  10. The CJ noticing he has boobs pic is hilarious! The poor, confused kid! lol And they had a Ring Of Fire - awesome!
  11. "Keep in mind that Canadian bacon is ham!" I can't quit laughing at that caption! Great TR!
  12. Me too! Giga boom!!! Has a ring to it hehe
  13. I stand by my statement. We may not see an explosion a la the inverts of the 90s, but I still think we'll be seeing more gigas. Maybe not a ton of them, but a few.
  14. I haven't added my thoughts on Leviathan yet, so here I go! I think it looks pretty amazing. B&M has finally surpassed the 300 foot barrier. It's a milestone for both the company and coasters in general. New B&M ride styles catch on pretty quickly (look at the wingriders), and when they take on an existing ride style they tend to become really popular as well (hypers, flyers). So we may see a bit of a Giga boom in the industry because of this! As for the location, it could be built on the surface of the sun for all I care! It's a B&M giga - that's enough to get me to Canada next year! Also, I can't say enough how glad I am to see the old-style trains return. The new-style trains always feel a bit "off" to me. Plus it's not an Intamin so Leviathan already has depedability in its favor. Just sayin'.
  15. Looks pretty cool! I probably would've gone for either a standard strain or a completely floorless train, but hey, choices are good!
  16. Volcano at KD immediately comes to mind. I know it's immensely popular but to me it's too short, not that thrilling, and operations are consistently among the worst I've ever seen. I just don't see the appeal of Volcano.
  17. Hi Olivier! You must post a TR when you go to the opening! Can't wait to hear how it rides. Oh, and hope you're doing good! It's been awhile!
  18. I have a friend who's interested in doing this with me. He's not a Club TPR member or forum member, but can he still get in as a guest with me?
  19. Question: as part of Illuminights are they still projecting a light show onto Griffon this year? Last year I was quite impressed with it, it's cool to look at and really pretty. It really emphasized the height of the structure, too. Plus, we got to take the Skyride portion that goes right through Griffon while the lights were being projected onto it. It was really nice. I haven't seen it mentioned in any TR's this year, and can't tell on the official site because it's loading extremely slowly for some reason. So are they still doing the Griffon projection this year?
  20. Oh dearest Title Fairy, could you change my title to "Gay B&M Fanboy, Accepts B&M's of All Persuasions", pretty please?
  21. Screamin' Eagle @ SFSTL Whatever they did over the off season has worked wonders cause the Eagle is soaring again!
  22. Don't know how I slept on this one but just saw the thread and wow, this ride looks pretty damn wicked! Very cool, unique layout!! Have to agree with others on here - I miss the B&M kickers (pre-drops), they really add a lot to the ride imo. I hated seeing the hypers lose them, now it looks like their other models are losing them, too. That said, again this ride looks totally sick! Can't wait to see it completed, and hopefully we'll get some nice coverage once it opens from some enterprising TPR memeber. (Olov, perhaps?)
  23. How awesome it would be if this turned out to be a Mega Lite or to a lesser degree a hyper. But that silhouette sure does look like another Giga coaster.
