  1. Got my Bag-O-Crap today! Lots and lots of crack aka Japanese park maps! Plus a Lotso plushy ornament, numerous pins, and best of all - a miniature toy pig with his innards exposed! So random and Japanese Awesome I'm on my iPhone so I can't post pics here; gonna put 'em on my Facebook tho! Edit: Now that I'm on my laptop I can post the pics! Enthusiast crack! Lotso, a Minnie Mouse DisneySea 10th Anniversary pin, Universal Studios Arabian Nights pin, and the "innard pig"!
  2. Another great update of a park I'm fascinated with! And I hope the Tokyo Disney Bags-O-Crap include park maps! And I win!
  3. ^^ If you do HoliWood Nights next year, lemme know! And there are more shenanigans to come! I don't know if there is photographic evidence but there was a hilariously OTT near-death experience at the water park one day involving Bakuli (or the Death Slide, as I now call it). But hey, I lived! Yay!
  4. Forget ERT! The kiddie playground takeover was the REAL highlight of HoliWood Nites 2011! Seriously though, can't wait to see the rest!
  5. ^ I definitely noticed the jackhammering has been tamed quite a bit! The helix still hurts, imo, but it's such a fun element I enjoy it anyway. Without the jackhammering the double down up into the first fan turn is such a rush; you really feel the speed as you zoom through the structure at that point. Some great air on the bunny hill before you pass the station, too! I've always loved the layout of The Boss, just hate the G-trains.
  6. ^ It really was great, not butter smooth by any means, just a bit bouncy. And the airtime was good; the hill after the turnaround by The Boss is insane again! It was just really fun. We rode it more than any other coaster, a rarity for me! Was gonna send you some pics but literally all I can do with my phone right now is send and receive calls. (Remember how it briefly spazzed out at HW? It's on constant spazz at this point.)
  7. I went to the park today for the first time this season. Had a blast, almost everything was a walk-on, and Screamin' Eagle was the surprise hit of the trip! Seems to be riding better than ever (maybe they did extensive work over the off season? I don't keep up.) Got to ride Sky Screamer, although my friends and I jokingly kept calling it Sky Hug. It's a great ride, lots of fun, amazing views, but it's mostly just mellow and relaxing. I kind of expected that, but I thought the height would add a bit more thrill to the experience. We all really liked it, though. I'm glad we have it in STL!
  8. ^ You're right, it really doesn't have any bearing on a ride's quality where it's located. I just really love BGW.
  9. My rides on Nitro felt kind of weak, not much air or sensation of speed. AC, on the other hand, blows me away. Plenty of ejector and floater air, and in general just a better layout. Also, as has been pointed out, it's at a Busch park which is always a bonus.
  10. Aw, Whizzer! I miss it, I must make my way back up there soon! Looks like you guys had a great day!
  11. Also curious where that Jet Scream model is. I've been going to SFSTL my whole life and have never seen it. I'm guessing it's new, which really surprises me as SFSTL never really does anything to celebrate its past. Very cool they made it and I'll have to check it out on my next trip!
  12. My vote goes to Ninja at SFOG. I love its uniqueness, that it's set over water (so photogenic!), and yes, I even love the ride it gives! I've even come to find the "brake n shake" endearing! I just think it's a really cool coaster at a great park.
  13. That makes sense. Repetitive TR's are a real slog to get through.
  14. When uploading pics to the park index you can only add shots of specific attractions. When I'm researching parks to visit I like to see general park views in addition to the specific attractions. Any possibility of a "general park views" option for the pic uploader in the future?
  15. Now that I'm not doing a TPR trip this year I must find a way to do this! I really wanna catch the new TG, plus I still need my coveted Shock Wave credit. We're severely understaffed at my job and I already have both of my vacations for this year in the books so I must see what strings I can pull to make this happen...
  16. Great TR! Even though I live halfway across the country BGW is my favorite park and I'm always ready to see what's new when it opens each season. The screens at the San Marco restaurant look like they'll be great for diners but real atmosphere killers for people walking past the theater.
  17. David, my excitement for IntimidaTour just increased tenfold because of that statement! And I was already geeking out with excitement for the trip to begin with lol. Glad you guys had such a good time!
  18. Thanks! I didn't think it was blue before, but I wasn't sure. The blue isn't bad, but I didn't get the connection. Batman doesn't wear/drive/carry anything blue, does he? Nope! I'm gonna go with rcg19 and guess it's just leftover from the Bizarro repaints. It doesn't fit Batman but at least the parks are going to the trouble to actually keep the coasters looking fresh.
  19. Great pics!I really love the uphill shot of GASM. Batman was painted blue this year. Personally I prefer black or "Magic Mountain grey" on BTR but the blue isn't horrible.
  20. My Love Is Better - Annie
  21. Lady Gaga and Beyonce - Telephone - DJ Dan Mix
  22. Nice to see them do at least a little something to acknowledge the coaster's anniversary. B&M's best floorless coaster deserves it!
  23. I'm always amazed by how logical the choices made by you guys are, be it on the site or on the trips. I say do it.
  24. Great TR so far! Love the pics.
  25. Great TR so far, Bas! This is obviously the work of a guy who knows the way of life (and his way around a camera). lol So where's the color version of the B&W photo?
