  1. ^I thought the church was theming! Loved the 2001 (but actually 2010) reference. Just wish the park was better and had more to do, but hopefully it will in the years to come. Not to take away from the report, it was your usual excellence.
  2. ^Well, the only type of coaster they've inherited from Arrow is the 4th Dimension, and they've only made one so far with Eejanaika, plus the X2 trains. S&S's Dodonpa has mixed reviews, but not even the "haters" can deny that it has the fastest/most intense acceleration, and the most extreme bit of airtime out of any ride. People who aren't bothered by the alleged roughness tend to like it.
  3. I don't know if there's an older thread, but that video was shown at West Coast Bash by a guy from S&S. It's hard to say if it would be fun, or just feel pointless.
  4. Man, that sucks. Here I was thinking it would be worth it to get out there and ride it while it's new.
  5. ^I don't really think it's smaller, though. It's walk-in, and seems to have a lot more seating. It would be a full Johnny Rockets, except it doesn't have a grill for burgers, so I've been told. Most people who walk in expect the full menu, and are confused by the lack of burgers. I hope they can fix that. I love it, though, it was great getting a shake for the long wait of X2.
  6. Because they have headrests, and Colossus' Morgan trains do not. The trains before the Morgan ones did.
  7. Magic Mountain may be at least an hour away from the Disneyland area, but it's worth it. Knott's may be a lot closer, but it's nowhere near Magic Mountain in terms of quality and value right now.
  8. Taken by Gravy Train's Ric Turner: There had to've been some stacking with 5 train operation, though. I just hope these trains, whether new or more likely refurbished provide a smoother ride. At West Coast Bash on March 9th, Revolution was pretty much unridable.
  9. I've been to Denmark, and it was my favorite of the Scandinavian countries. Unfortunately, I only visited Tivoli Gardens, so I hope to see that park in this report. I hope to do the TPR Scandinavia trip since in my summer 2005 trip I was definately "doing it wrong." By that I mean not visiting theme parks, of course.
  10. ^I'd guess you'd have more of an issue with over the shoulder restraints than lap bars.
  11. During my recent visit, I was in a party of 4, and although we used the lockers, they still used the cubbies (when available) for their flip flops. While I agree it wouldn't be fair to expect them to've put them in the locker and then go barefoot, I also feel people should come to SFMM wearing shoes. Hopefully that'll be a future policy.
  12. ^Still less than what her car cost.
  13. Space Mountain, Disneyland, this past Wednesday (6/4), just before the park closed at 11pm.
  14. I've not been on El Toro, but since we're comparing Intamins if anyone has been on both that and Superman at SFMM how would you compare the snugness of the seats and lap bars?
  15. My good friend Big Mike: Sounds like it was a great time. I wish I could have gone. I (and everyone else) hope to see pictures soon! Oh, and I think as long as it's within certain restrictions, bikini pics are okay.
  16. I'd say right now the best park in the chain is Great Adventure. Even though most coaster enthusiasts don't care about it, the safari gives families another option. The former top park of the chain, Magic Mountain, is on course to reclaim the title.
  17. Scott TRs are always the s***. The best. Oh, doesn't that peanut butter fudge look like Swiss cheese?
  18. I really hate when people have the attitude they can do anything and get away with it. It's good when they have to pay the consequences.
  19. SCBB definately needs more cowbell, so this is a good thing.
  20. Honestly, if you're questioning Silver Bullet, perhaps this site is too extreme for you.
  21. ^Worst post ever. A lack of pictures of you is a very good thing.
  22. I just like seeing appearances of the legendary SFMM internally lit podium. EDIT: And of course this caption: "Is everybody in? The ceremony is about to begin."
  23. It really does look like a great ride. Certainly a finalist for best new coaster of 2008. I think everyone just going on the East Coast trip and not the mini trip is really going to be missing out. Ravine Flyer II and Behemoth are probably better than any new coaster on the EC trip.
