RIP Psyclone. I "keed"! As nice as it is to be getting another woodie (lol), there are a few things about the layout I don't like. Particularly the first drop. Most good drops are straight, and the only variable should be the degree of steepness. Twisty drops are less thrilling, generally...am I right?

Hey. come on, you guys, I was the one who brought back this long dead thread and I'm not getting the recognition I deserve! Lol, I'm kidding, just kidding, but does anyone out there agree with me? Is anyone else peeved by flip flops?

Nah. Ask EBL if he counts Colossus at SFMM as different credits for each time it was retracked/reprofiled. -

Awesome! Guessing from your avatar, I'm looking forward to anything you may have on Knott's Berry Tales. And on the subject of extinct dark rides, if you had anything on Adventure Thru Inner Space I haven't seen, I'd just die! -

An employee of Cedar Point didn't understand how the late 70s/early 80s could have been the best time for Knott's since it was comparatively lacking in coasters, but we know why! Great stuff, as usual, and I'm looking forward to more Knott's stuff. That O.J. Simpson ad was too much! PS: This might be a good time to repost your Knott's video with the Heaven 17 song. -

It's not fair. I hope that soon we'll be able to pleasure ourselves to SFMM construction pics as well. -
People who wear flip flops. Yes. Well, at least who then board floorless coasters. I wouldn't expect them to put them in a locker and then go barefoot thru the entire queue, but when they board they have to go set them aside. It's really the same thing as lugging bags and other personal crap onto a coaster.

^I noticed it a little bit in the special last night. I didn't notice it while riding it, though. It's just an intense ride in general. -

Yeah, it seemed the "pickle spoons" the seats are attached to were fighting the rotations, and finally would rotate in a jerky motion. It was especially apparent in the half/half after the turn-around. -

Those of us at West Coast Bash could see that the seat rotations on X2 were VERY herky-jerky, and much work was left to do. You can tell in Erik Johnson's WCB video: But don't get me wrong, I am a fan of X2. -
The best ride of the park, Tower of Terror, will not likely be closed for extended periods of time since that part of the park isn't really being touched. You've probably been on "good tower" anyway. DCA will be better, so you needn't worry about missing it in its original state. Technically, the original DCA is a thing of the past anyway, since many of the original rides, attractions, and restaurants have been closed for quite some time.

Not enough stuff on X2, but it was nice to see Tim Burkhart, "the designer of X2" again. Thanks for the heads up about this program, I would have missed it otherwise. -
My condolences.

Saw is not quite as scary as SpongeBob, but it should be cool.
