Quantum of Solace (Bond 22) Discussion Thread

Every link of the song on YouTube seems to have been pulled, so I'll comply with that, but this contains an instrumental sample of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oigJGC4XU48 -

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't seen it yet. It does look very good. However, I think Casino Royale set the bar incredibly high, so I hope QOS is in the same league. Since it hasn't been posted yet, here's the teaser trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ2GWKnTY4M -

The tracks are not identical = 2 credits. Most would agree. -

Wow, you actually took a picture with Allison in it in which she is totally blocked from view! (Except for those legs!) Congratulations to you, sir! That wasn't easy! -

My my, how time has flown by. It seems like only yesterday the Europe trip was beginning (unless you went on it, then it probably seems like years ago). Can't wait to see the first park you guys visit. Oh, is Hot Fuzz Rich a picky eater? -
Wow, that's some great stuff, Tomi! Thank you so much for sharing. Silly question, but I was wondering what language you use to speak to your friend(s), to talk to the ride op., etc. How do you say 'airtime' in Hebrew? Hehe.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

I think family friendly is the goal of most of the rides there. One could make the argument that their wooden coasters are too big/extreme for little kids or the elderly. However, this new ride, I think will be enjoyed by families because the drop is not too steep. They could have gone for the record of tallest and steepest, but clearly settled on tallest only. -
Most inversions on a coaster
RIP Psyclone replied to coasterstud522's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Roger that, Eejanaika has only 3 "real" inversions. 4 half inversions, and 1 full inversion. Eejanaika's website claims 14. Despite being in Japanese, I can make out that it claims 7 of one kind of inversion, 5 of another, and 2 of yet another. It doesn't even count the 3 actual! Well, maybe they rounded it up to 5, somehow. -

It should be noted that the "butterfly" element is found on a few Vekoma multi-loopers, like Viper at SFOG and "that one in France," not on the Arrow multi-loopers. -

You couldn't find a single In-N-Out Burger? You were in both NorCal and SoCal, with people from California, so I find that hard to believe! Oh well, maybe next time, right? -

Hello all! I am friends with someone (who for now will remain nameless) who will be going on the East Coast trip next week. I hope he/she doesn't chicken out on any coasters/credits/rides, so perhaps some of you can help. The coasters that come to mind which may make this "enthusiast" a little jittery would be the ones one would expect. Kingda Ka, Griffon, maybe even El Toro (Gasp!) to name a few. Personally, I don't see how someone could fork over a couple thousand $ and not fully enjoy this trip. Since I am not going on this trip, maybe you guys could offer a bit of encouragement. Those of you who have been on Kingda Ka, maybe you could say how the drop is not too bad at all, and so on... Thanks a lot in advance, guys, I would just hate to see any credits missed due to fear. There truly is nothing to be afraid of, right guys?

I remember in Sweden, places like 7-11 would sell beer with a low alcohol content, and I think people of a lower age could buy it. To get "real" beer, you'd have to go to a bar/pub, or a government licensed liquor store, I think. -

Yeah, that was cute and all, Jimmy, but you're obviously not a Tom Leykis listener.
