  1. And what about the Harmon Killebrew home run seat?
  2. ^It's on the U.S. list if you click on that link. Because they're open 364 (I think) days a year, plus Scary Farm, they pull in more than Cedar Point.
  3. Sliced rotisserie meat in a pita. There are pictures of Jahan and Chris F. eating them in the official Midwest thread, but I won't post those pics here. Just one that looks good:
  4. Sun is the 5th. Wait until next week! The 6th could be Claire, it couldbe Michael, we just don't know yet. I believe Jin really is dead, because Sun was crying with only Hurley and the baby around. Hurley would have known the truth, so she wouldn't have put on a show for him. But, we'll see!
  5. ^Sure, what we saw of Jin took place before the island, and what we saw of Sun took place after the island. The two were edited together to make it seem it was Jin's flashforward as well. It now appears Jin died on the island.
  6. ^According to Tim Burkhart, X2 was painted in those colors to look intimidating. It should have been those colors all along. Perhaps they thought people would have been afraid to ride it had they not painted it in cheerful colors. I think Viper's red & white is perfect for such a ride, although maybe they should have gone with red & charcoal gray, since it was originally marketed as "the most frightening roller coaster on Earth." I remembered that commercial very well, and I was stoked they played it at WCB.
  7. I liked how Tim said an employee took it upon himself to paint the sign. It looks like he did more than simply repaint it. Imagine if a Disney CM did something like that!
  8. Thanks for taking a pic of the Goldrusher sign! Much better than before! And thanks for taking a pic of X's one unpainted support. I was wondering how many people noticed it. I believe that was in a break room, right? Maybe they left it unpainted to keep the room more...cheerful.
  9. I wish I had gone up in the tower earlier than 8:45 or so, because the sky in the Trollywood picture is breathtaking!
  10. If he had to fake his death and stay on the island, then Sun wouldn't have put on a show just for herself and Hurley, since they both would know the truth.
  11. I don't think it was a lack of interest, more like a lack of Minnesotan TPR members. Honestly, who wouldn't want to ride Spongebob?
  12. ^Tim Burkhart did say a goal was to increase capacity, but I think that will mostly be due to a revised load/unload procedure. The new trains will increase capacity mainly by having less downtime, hopefully. Oh, also getting rid of the footpedals to release the restraints and replacing them with buttons should help speed up things as well. Tim was honest about hoping for a mere 1100 per hour capacity, still a far cry from the theoretical 1600 per hour of the original X. X never got close to that, probably never even cracked 1000. A 1600 hourly capacity would require an approximate 1 minute dispatch interval, never having an empty seat. 1100 would be closer to 1½ minutes. Just remember, a one train operation with a slow and unmotivated crew can lead to 6 minute dispatches. That's an hourly capacity of 280!
  13. ^If they ran Tatsu's trains with the seats in the down position, it would pretty much amount to the same thing, right? Still, I'm sure Batman's trains on Tatsu or even Tatsu's trains on batman would be painful with the G forces applied to different parts of your body. Anyway, I think WCB 2009 will be better just by virtue of X2 being open. Not that we needed another coaster to thin the crowds, they were quite thin enough. I would guess the backstage tour will include the construction site of the new coaster, that is if it isn't open by then! The big surprise will be...RETURN OF THE TILT-A-WHIRL!
  14. I'm gonna take a guess here, and especially since Cameron pointed it out, that the layout of the model is closer to SFGAm's Shockwave. I thought it was pretty much identical to GASM, so what are the differences?
  15. ^Yeah, that is a shame. However, when Neal was personally unlocking the lockers after night ERT had ended I shook his hand and let him know that we all greatly appreciate the hard work that went into that day. Now, I don't mean to sound egotistical, but I think if they are aiming to please the enthusiasts then the general public will be pleased as well. Trickle-down!
  16. And I believe they never ran the Morgan trains backwards because they don't have headrests. Psyclone's B&M trains do, so they use those.
  17. I don't know what happened earlier, but I'm (still) impressed!
  18. ^Honestly, I think it was only a few people (maybe just 1 person) who think young children should not be brought to places like Magic Mountain. The consensus, I think, is that families are welcome.
  19. After 2 "family" coasters in a row opening in consecutive years, I think a major coaster should be installed next. It seems they are doing the Mark Shapiro thing by taking care of every age group. That's fine; of course many of us would have rather had 1 major coaster than 2 "minor" ones, but a credit is a credit, right? Now Knotts needs a hyper. I wonder how they'd squeeze it in, though.
  20. "None" is not an option offered. I thought you wanted to know who does and who doesn't, or at least percentages.
  21. Well, tell that to the people who rode Eagle Fortress on the Korea trip! Kind of like the mannequin's head moving in I Am Legend?
  22. $2,100,000 each, $6,300,000 for the 3. Wait, went to Psyclone to check out the old trains? You mean the old trains that were there? I believe it was said they are using the Arrow ones (XLR-8 & Shockwave) for parts for Ninja and Viper. The old Psyclone trains? They're used to run backwards on Colossus during fright fest. The old X trains? I'm sure they will soon be scrapped, as parts will probably be interchangable, but I heard they did cycle an old train today to compare to the new one.
  23. ^Yes, and when he talked about Racecoaster at Nurburgring, he also said they are adding elements to it to make it more fun. He mentioned one being a banked turn, possibly "90 degrees(!)" and also another. Even though an airtime hill like on Hypersonic XLC and Dodonpa wouldn't fit well within the race track theme, I think that would be a small price to pay! When you think about it, that applies to Top Thrill Dragster too.
  24. ^^I definately pressed the complete button. So, oh well! Maybe I'll ask my bank to look into it.
