  1. An excellent round of updates. Carrabba's looks great! Yeehaw!
  2. 1:33 am here in Alabama, and just got done watching Office Space with friends. Humerous way to kick off the new year. Mmmmm....yeah......
  3. I heard or read somewhere that you can basically take movie clips and use them as that moving background in Vista. Exactly how, no clue, but reasonably sure it's movie clips (like .WMV). While on a couple of park trips earlier this year, I tried to shoot some video for exactly that reason. Great Windows Gurus of TPR, am I pretty close on this?
  4. Just took a look at KBF on Google Earth and that fact there's even a place for PE to fit into is impressive. Knott much room to work with there. This one could be fun, kinda like a mine train. I dig the the booster bike type coasters. And it's also near Big Foot Rapids.
  5. Well, to nutshell it: Pluses: Lotsa scenery, and plenty of add-ons for even more scenery. Fun to play, you can ride what you build (coasters, flats, water rides, water slides, animals), and you can render movies and stills. Can also import graphics and make custom signs and stalls. Some drawbacks: Uses a rigid grid system that can make reproducing rides difficult. The terrain editor has a bit of a learning curve and can be tricky at times. It's a bit on the cartoony side. If you've played any of the other RCT games, you'll recognize some things, but the 3D engine will takes some getting used to. Over all, I say go for it. It's a good deal since it comes with Soaked and Wild all on the same disk. Too, there are several creative souls here that make some great projects. Definately check out their work to get a good idea of what can be done. Either that or, search on YouTube.
  6. Does it come in RealTree HD green and have a bow mount option. I'd like that.
  7. True, however, I'm one of the few who haven't typed certain letters to trigger the filter, and my branding came in a thread about a King's Island kiddie coaster on the Midwest Trip. Oooh I was mad, but I can laugh about it now. "View more Emoticons" Hmmm, what does this do? Oh cool!
  8. LOL! So that explains why something I sent in a PM turned to kitten. A far as having a sense of humor on this site, most needed. It takes some getting used to. Trust me. I got branded a pedophile at one point and got pretty mad about it, but it's all gravy now. I have learned something new today!
  9. Hey man, good job. Looking forward to seeing the new passage and River Battle. It'll also mean some new pic angles for rides.
  10. Honest question here. Do you think they're pulling another Geauga Lake with SFA, by growing the water park side? If so, could this be a counter measure to the Fredericksburg Kalahari opening up? I went several years ago (86-89)when it was Wild World, and the water park was pretty fun, but we didn't do the amusement park side and, though it had Wild One, it looked ho-hum. Just random musings.
  11. ^You and Vffreak07 are on to something there. Reinvent it as a rapids AND bring back the slime geyser for decor. Wishful thinking, sure, but a good dream just the same. Slime Geyser > Wild Thornberrys (even though Flea is cool).
  12. Disappointment does not = weepy. Just empathizing/consoling. Good to know it's on Comedy Central. Hadn't heard this part and don't watch much tv (so little time) so didn't know. Glad it's not completely gone, which make this girl happy.
  13. Adult Swim has pulled this before. They take it off, people get annoyed, they put it back, they shuffle the time slot, wash, rinse, repeat. It's been on a long time too, but, like G4 did with Robot Wars (man I miss that show), it's probably past it's due. Futurama is a great show. If it helps, in addition to the DVD sets, there's a full length movie that's out at Barnes & Noble. It's not the Bender collection, but something else. You might check that out. For that matter, the DVDs of the series are worth owning (if you don't have them already). Yeah, it's a bummer.
  14. ^ LOL! Well said! That one gave me a good laugh.
  15. When we lived in Colorado Springs from 80-83, Dad's cousins owned the railroad depot restaurant (Geseppie's?) down town, and it was always a big treat to have dinner there and watch the trains go by. On a side random side note, the same cousins had a ranch in Gunnison Colorado, which is the setting for the latest AVP movie. Matter of fact, we rode the incline a couple times in Manitu Springs and went to Santa's Workshop/The North Pole park not far from there. That's where I rode a Herschel Little Dipper called The Candy Cane Coaster (1st credit) and didn't like it at all. Was about 6 or 7 then. Wow. Just a flood of old memories...
  16. Water park TR! Yay! Glad you included this one. Oh, and your secret's safe with me (wink wink, nudge nudge).
  17. ^ (looks puzzled and scratches head) Oh, I don't know about that one.... Kidding. I'd be for that as long as they spring for the rapids boats that have seat backs. The mini boats like at Holiday World or former Myrtle Beach Pavilion might fit the scale nicely. Wild Thornberry's theme maybe? Good call my friend! EDIT: Well, after 2 nights of el zilcho on spongy, me thinks stuff will happen after New Years. Yes, captain obvious strikes again....
  18. I like the way you think. You know, this place is almost turning into a wierd version of MGM Grand Adventure (?) that used to be in Vegas.
  19. I do. Here are a some renders I did as a way to get familiar with Mental Ray earlier this year. Just having fun between work projects. Part of the reason I do so much in RCT3, is that it's a way to keep all the same research/detailing skills sharp. Anyway, back on topic, Man, I still dig your MF trains. Those just great! My future mod living room. Japanese Archery render. GRR boat detail. Opryland Grizzly River Rampage boat in 90's green. BGE Roman Rapids in classic 80's yellow
  20. Scary and funny. Truly, a wise captain. You have to wonder if anybody ordered their drink "on the rocks".
  21. Not much happened last night or today. There lookes like a wee bit o track poised and ready for something in the webcam. Tonight maybe? Randome dorky tip: By saving the webcam pic every so often, you too can watch a coaster rise up in classic flip book fashion (or relive your 80's hard rock time lapse stage construction days ) Um...yeah.... Ok, hope they start building tonight. I'm on my way....I'm on my waaay ay ay, Home Sweet Home......
  22. Awesome! LOL! Thanks man. Well, it's official, now I have to do a Piggly Wiggly PTR. Suffice to say, there's nothing one big ham won't do for for another. (Me and my big mouth...)
  23. Some Gorgeous work man! I too use 3ds Max at work and love it. Have you ever used Mental Ray's daylight system? You get some terriffic shadows and lighting down to time of day, sun position, season, etc... Glad to see another 3d person. Again, great work.
  24. You all can have the 2 Alices. Lumiere and Cogsworth never looked better. "Be our guest" just took on a whole new meaning. The more I see of Japan and it's wackiness, the more I really like it. Great update and looking forward to the rest.
