The Official TPR "East Coast/Behemoth Trip" Update
TheRapidsNerd replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
For some reason this whole exchange (heh...exchange...) rememinded me of the time Guy auctioned off body parts for charity at some water park. What about....the TPR Speedo? Granted, the TPR thong idea is a good one, because at the end of the trip you'll be riding high and can say "Thongs for the memories..." -

http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/10/hayes.obit/index.html No more Hello Children.... Sad to see him go, especially after Bernie Mac this weekend. Rest in peace. -
Oh wow! We used to go to Show Biz a bunch in Colorado Springs when I was a little kid. We also did Tex Critter's Pizza Jamboree in Chapel Hills Mall (gone now). TC was just no substitute. Had a lot of good times at Show Biz. Mom and I loved to play Ske Ball and I'd get wierd little prizes with the tickets. Used to save my tickets religiously for those things. Lol! Went to a Chuck E. Cheese (before the name changed to Cheese's) and I vaguely remember all the charactors being in boxes of sorts and you could only see them from the waist up. Thought it was just wierd. Dude, I would love to see the fellow who has the show in his house. Will have to find out where he is and figure a time to visit. Brandy, if you make it there, I'd love to see a PTR. Man, what a great topic!

Is anyone on TPR a Railfan? (Train Watcher)
TheRapidsNerd replied to kalvin's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm partial to 0-4-0 and similar sized steam switchers for some reason. Also like the French TGV trains and Cabooses. Was a fan of Chesse System, Burlington Northern, and Conrail when blue was the main color. My first model train was a transformers set. I went through a whole train phase and the family and I went to a train show and Dad was buying rolling stock I thought was cool....and hiding them in his winter coat! Lol! This would later be for Christmas and birthday gifts. Got rid of most of that stuff a couple years ago to good will. It was sitting in my closet doing nothing and I'd had several years to make a Christmas train for the tree, but just never got around to getting the board put together. Still have a section of HO track and my favorite steam switcher engine on the shelves in the living room. While it was sad to get rid of all that stuff, I kept feeling like there was kid somewhere who really really wanted a train set, but couldn't have one for whatever reason. Hopefully, the stuff I wasn't using got to that kid who'd appreciate it and enjoy it so much more. I like to think so. May yet do a Christmas train, maybe a Thomas something or a mine train. Dunno, but whatever happens, it has to be a steam engine. -

One more thing, Diablo, being the forward thinker and expert planner she is, actually captioned the following photo from her Magic Mountain TR/Tatsu ride. "Ouch! My lady pillows!" -

Rich, thanks for the humorous Sauce story. I can rest easier now. (Cringe) Man, I feel all bad now....Well hey, you are on vacation after all, but we miss you all, so thank you from the bottom of our vicarious hearts. No more b*$#*ing from the mullet brigade. Jahan's choice and Tyler's impression were great, however, Jahan, while I share the Arrow and frozen coke love, we must talk about your priorities. Happy riding everybody! EDIT: (Raises eyebrow at the last picture.) Uh-oh, here comes the speculation storm.... -
Great stuff and poor Dan. The aquatic torture just never ends. I must rest after all this Behemothage.

Stealth/Borg Assimilator/NightHawk. Love the trains. Miss the ball. Though when you do think of it, the coaster truly was assimilated. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
TheRapidsNerd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like it. I like SFoG Goliath and CW Behemoth. Interesting that the name is a little nod to King Cobra and it seems to be standing in about the same place as Demon was years ago. I am sad though. We will never really know the true starvation ending, world healing awsomeness of Laser Snake Horse on Fire. (sniff) Yay for KI getting a new coaster! -

That and "airing out the ole groin" made me roar. Still catching up on your updates and enjoying as always. Very kind of you to include YET MORE rapids pics. I think I owe steak dinner or something. Much appreciated. Now I return to the updates.... EDIT: Now caught up and STILL laughing over the captions. Great stuff! -

^^ Jeff that's awesome! Glad you said it since you have more clout in this merry band of enthusiasts than many of us. Was wondering same, but didn't want to create a problem by asking, kidding or otherwise. Looking forward to all the stories and pics when everybody get's back safe. No doubt, this will be epic. Oh, and what's the the deal with "The Sauce" or "Sauce Factory? Well, somebody has to ask! Cheers and best to all on the trip. -
CTU Agent and I talked about this movie at lunch today (Steak n Shake) and proudly showed off our Batman ringtones. Naturally his is Dark Knight Joker quote, and mine is the 80's Batman (Danny Elfman?) theme. This is just an awesome movie. It really really is.
