Speak to the Kraut
Team Thriller replied to KrautWithAltitude's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have a question referring back to the restraints. Is it possible for a restraint to open up during the ride. I've heard some cases that it has, but I'm not sure those stories are true. --James "I was wondering that during my ride on High Fall at Movie Park " Flint -
Day 4: BGE PTR

^ I think the problem with Alpengiests first drop is that it isn't steep enough. When I ride Black Mamba, I enjoy the drop more than Alpiegiests. BUt I think Alpengiest is just so intense, that it's still the greatest. --James -

Gas Prices where you live
Team Thriller replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Many people earn as much as Americans do. But your right how it evens out, here lots of other stuff is way cheaper. (65 cents for milk for an example) Plus, the train and bus system is very cheap and easy to use here. --James -

Dude, I'm just loving your pictures. Your so creative with the captions and photo's. I agree that Alpengiest is better than Griffon. (But not by much) I'm glad you all are having a great time. --James -
Photo TR: Düsseldorf Fair Photos
Team Thriller replied to john_phillips235's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^^ No, they aren't rough at all. Which is really amazing considering that they put it up in only weeks. I remember visiting these fairs. They really are amazing. They have rides I've never seen, the music is happy, the smell is yummy, and everyone is having a great time. The only downside to these fairs are the prices. To take one ride on the inverted it costs 10 euro's. (Which is around 15 dollars) The Shwarzkopf costs 5 euro's (8 dollars) and many of the larger flat rides can cost between 4 - 12 euros. But yes, they are indeed amazing. Another reason I love Germany. --James -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Team Thriller replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yesterday I rode Bandit at Movie Park Germany. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. (Which was a ride like Psyclone). Rode in the back car middle. --James -
Blue Ridge Park (RCT3)

My thought is that the ride looks really nice. But hopefully the park will keep it smoother and in good operations. --James -

Who's the girl in the blue in the second picture? Those pictures are pretty swelling. P.S. Holiday Park is at least an hour away from Vogelway, Chris. --James -
^ Thats true. Also, most films go down in rating after a few weeks of opening. --James

Don't worry, Busch Gardens will have nice staff and few flaws. Nice pictures. I've driven by KD a few times now. Maybe I should stop there next time I visit Virginia. --James -
The Official "TPR Europe Trip 2008" Thread!

Phantasialand is still the most themed park, IMO. Black Mamba is extremely amazing. Winjas has those unique moments. Still I'm surprised. Talocan is the best top spin in the world in my opinion. I actually really liked River Quest. It's very unique, same with Mystery Castle (Even if it doesn't live up to its hype). There is so much to say about Phantasialand. So many hidden little things.. --James -
Please never even say someone dies. Now I'm going to expect it. Even though you didn't say who, it still a spoiler. --James

I'm going to have to also say Expedition Ge Force. The first drop is the greatest. (You have to sit in the back seat for it to be out of this world) The airtime is unbelievable. 1.) Ge Force 2.) X 3.) Alpengiest 1.) Collossos 2.) Screamin Eagle 3.) Roar (SFDK) ^^^^^ How could you vote for a coaster that you've never been on. I never have understood that. --James
-
The only reason I count that as a coaster is because of the design. I usually don't count it as a coaster if RCDB.com doesn't, but in this cause, I have too. I don't count Alpine slides as credits, if I did, I would have many more credits since those "Rotterbahns" as the Germanys say, are all over Germany. But yes, that is more in coaster style than anything else. (But still, it's for credit whores) --James

Thurnquist Park

I love the Dragster style station on the swings. It really is looking nice. Just get ride of the water. It is taking up to much space and doesn't look to good. Just build a statue or an already made fountain. Other than that, it looks good. --James -

^ I'm sure it would be Cedar Fair. Magic Mountain has always been Cedar Points 'enemy'. I think that would be a dream come true for Cedar Fair. My personal opinion is I hope it doesn't go belly up. I love Magic Mountain. --James
