  1. Remember: The TDS version is NOT the Hollywood Hotel, rather a hotel in the American Waterfront, in the section modeled after...New York City.
  2. Wow, that element just keeps getting funkier. A. It's huge. B. That's a LOT of supports close together! Too bad he/they didn't get new shots from the ferris wheel. I'd like to see that. EDIT: On further examination, there's a lot more vertical than before. It also snowed since I went with Jeezus Juice. (There's now snow on the big box support.) It seems that the pace of construction has picked up. They only lifted one or two pieces the day we were there. There's a lot more than 14 new pieces up!
  3. ^Will drool on Tatsu footers. < Is going on a Shinkansen later today! (Hamanako Pal Pal, here I come!) \/ Is surrounded by a faint aroma of bananas. \/ Look out for the monkeys! RUN!
  4. US Navy Issue Utilities Shirt and Trousers. White T-shirt, Underwear, Black Wool Socks. Safety Shoes (Steel-toe leather boots) Ship's Ball Cap Navy Blue All Weather Jacket and Web Belt, Holster, 9mm Beretta semi-automatic Pistol with 14 rounds in the magazine, one round in the chamber, safety on, hammer forward, two spare magazines with 15 rounds each. I am so ready to get out of this canoe club!
  5. No harm, no foul. Just remember, each Tokyo Disney park brings in 11-13 Million people each year. Even with 127 million people in Japan, TDR has been around long enough for everybody to get there nearly 1.5 times! Plus, she grew up 1 hour north of the parks, then lived in NE Tokyo for about a decade. (About 3.5 miles from the parks!) I can't imagine haw many times she went before I met her! Halloween opening, huh?
  6. gak! My worst grounding was: No TV No Video Games No Friends over No Going out No Reading of non-school related books No Phone This was sentenced as "forever" and was enforced for about 8 months. Not to mention the a$$ whipping I got to commence the period of confinement. You kids got it easy these days!
  7. Ugh, I forgot how much I disliked Conneaut. I didn't even like Blue Streak, so it was a complete wash for me. At least at Williams Grove, the Camp Crystal Lake / Friday the 13th (daytime) theme is pulled off nicely.
  8. ^She's Japanese, not dumb! As much as she loves Ariel, how many times do you think we've been to DisneySea in the last 6 months? Three. I think she knows how to get to the big ship! She'll let me go on without her if she decides to skip it, but she does surprise me sometimes. I'm thinking she may go for it as it doesn't spin or go upside down. It's not a coaster, and above all... It's DISNEY!
  9. What a rip-off! It's Mitch Hawker's poll results with the non US coasters removed. Bah! The write ups on the coasters are flawed, too! S:ROS at 6FDL isn't a launched coaster. Just about the only link at the bottom that isn't there is Mitch's poll.
  10. Oooooooooh! There's no way I'm getting the wife on this. But I'm going to try! As long as no cast member says that it is "like a roller coaster" there's a chance. The remaining problem is she's not too keen on scary stuff. Pretty funny considering her B-day is Haloween!
  11. Wow, this park is looking great! It makes me want to dust of my copy!
  12. I wish they'd hurry up, I'd like to ride ONE of these some day! Are there any ideas when these open?
  13. Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion for PSP
  14. Before joining the TPR UK Trip, I wanted to visit some countries I never made it to while I was in Europe: Belgium and The Netherlands. I just sent Elissa a PM when I realized that TPR has a diverse group of folks all over the world. So, I am asking everybody if the following itinerary is possible. Be advised, I tear through parks fairly quick, my personal best is 22 parks in 11 days. Would I have to "credit whore" my way through, or would I have time to stop and smell the dog farts? (Yeah, I'm talking about Bobbejaanland...) Here's my plan: Day 1, June 5: Depart NRT –AMS Netherlands: Arrive Schiapol airport. Train to Amsterdam Dungeon Return to Airport: Mercure Schiapol (hotel) Day 2, June 6: #1 Walibi World (6) Biddinghuizen, Flevoland (@30 Mi east of Amsterdam) 10-17 #2 Toverland (2) Sevenum, Limburg (@75 Mi SE of Amsterdam) 10-18 Return to Airport: Mercure Schiapol (hotel) Day 3, June 7: #3 Drievliet Family Park (4) Rijswijk, Zuid-Holland (@20 Mi SW of Amsterdam) 10-18 #4 Efteling (5) Kaatsheuvel, Noord-Brabant (@40 Miles South of Amsterdam) 10-18 Drive to Antwerp (Find hotel east of Antwerp, Herentals?) Day 4, June 8: Belgium: #5 Bobbejaanland (8) Lichtaart, Antwerp (About 25 Mi E of Antwerp) 10-17:30 #6 Walibi Belgium (7) Wavre, Walloon Brabant (12 Mi SE of Brussels) 10-18 To Brussels station or airport. Then train ($120) or plane($59) to London. Hotel: With the Alvey’s Day 7, June 9: Legoland w/ mini group Begin UK trip. Thank you in advance for your help!
  15. Good night, Jeezus. I'm glad she did manage to get LG. I can't wait to see me, even though I'm sure Fuji-Q was a low point of your visit...
  16. I actually can post in this thread! Last night with dinner, I popped the cork on a bottle of white I bought at Fuji-Q highlands. I'm no fan of wine, but it wasn't too bad. Thus no play last night, by bed time we both had headaches. That's what you get when you don't drink wine regularly. (My wife could drink me under the table anyway. Japanese folks put it away!)
  17. (Hopefully,) tomorrow night, I would like to post a PTR for what seems to be the Knoebels of Japan. I think you'll understand when you see pics.
  18. It sounds like EJ^ will have the best, country specific information for you. General suggestion: Learn some basic phrases like greetings and polite phrases. There is more than 'flavor' of the Chinese language, so be careful. The longer you will be there, the more that you should prepare. The more you try to speak in the local tongue, the more likely someone who speaks a little English will be willing to help you. This goes pretty much anywhere in the world. Yes, even France! If you are going with any kind of group, even a small one, consider hiring some sort of interpreter if you think you can afford it. If you are going solo, be careful!
  19. Don't adjust your photo mix! It's all about Jeezus Juice, baby! (Oh, and glad to see you made it home OK.)
  20. Wow, are you filling a whole sandbox? I like the woodie's helix, too.
  21. Pocky is like Japanese crack. I can get it whenever I want!
  22. I pretty much have to wait for DVD out here, so I saw Corpse Bride last night. Anybody else not impressed?
  23. ^ How are old are you to remember those days over there?
  24. It is NOT the station/queue music for Dodonpa! Oh God, it gets so old!
