  1. If there was ever a B&M that NEEDED a pullthrough, this was it. The team of Walter, Claude and Phantasialand appear to have created a work of art. Genius!
  2. No, my attendance at Walibi World and Toverland should not have such a drastic effect. Do you come here often?
  3. Wrong! That's just terrible! It seems that the Nintendo execs are none too impressed with Sony's 'innovation' in the PS3 controller.
  4. OK, I wasn't going to jump in before, but, huh? There was a known flaw, and they allowed it to cause this accident, which could have resulted in serious injury to park guests? Are you insane? Explain yourself, please!
  5. No! Are you a Disneyphile?
  6. The pain that is the Williams' Grove Cyclone. Rot In Pieces!
  7. Now I see some lucky b@$tard$! Thanks for all the pictures!
  8. I get to ride the Magic Escalator Ride in 3 days!
  9. So what was KrakenKing trying to hide there? Oh, so you don't like Hulk? That is allowed. The only coaster you get introuble for not liking around here is Expedition GeForce. I'm a huge Kumba fan, myself. Haven't done Hulk, though.
  10. You'd better put some in the mail and send it to Magic Mountain Parkway if you value your life! (Just kidding, she really is nice.)
  11. So the news said something about either changing the Eurovision format to be more like the Idol show from the UK, or bringing the Eurovision format to the US. Did anyone hear this? and, Any opinions from our Europeans?
  12. Where do I send my registration card? I have the address, never mind!
  13. I saw: Captain's girlfriend/wife. Very interesting and cool wheel covers. African theming taken to a new level. Several VERY happy looking Germans. Why?!? Why didn't I arrange my UK trip to include a run for this coaster?!? Dumb, dum, Dumm Chris!
  14. Wow. To think that after 12 years of riding coasters, I may finally actually begin attending enthusiast events next year.
  15. I thought that Bonfante was just managed by Paramount, but not actually owned by them. So, the management contract was part of the deal? That's odd, but I guess it makes sense if the owners still didn't want to manage the park. That, in itself, may have been a tricky part of the negotiations.
  16. I'll be at Toverland in 13 days! Do you work on the 6th? Look for the lone American!
  17. ^I'm at 2500 streams and 500 downloads of my Eejanaika video. That thread has jumped about 20,000 views since I posted them, mostly since Robb put it on the front page. The site got a little hinky this morning, (my time) which isn't a good sign if some of those other sites start linking to that page. I think this is what happens when TPR gets over 12,000 registered users! Go, Robb! Go, Robb!
  18. Really? Even with all the recent moves? Nah, PGA will stay the park on the losing end. Can they just call it Great America? Or will that infringe on the other half of that old pair?
  19. I don't see this as drastic of a purchase as Premier's purchase of Six Flags. There are just not as many parks involved in this deal. Significant? Of course! Just not that drastic. It was surprising, as I didn't think CF was going to actually buy the whole chain.
  20. Nice to read the sane comments from the mom at the end of the full article. It was also good to finally see a news article that talked about the SD2K accident. Thanks for posting that.
  21. B&M Zero-G rolls Air hills
  22. Ah, to be young and have problems like those again! Here's my (seemingly weekly) rant on the Navy: This weekend, a guy, 25, violated a Navy rule, and while on vacation, stayed out overnight drinking his mind out in Tokyo. A guy who was with him (and senior to him) didn't curb the poor behavior. On Sunday morning, the 25 year old, got caught stealing a Japanese person's bicycle by the police. The police gave the guy an opportunity (for 9 hours) to apologise to the Japanese guy and get off, scott free. He was still drunk, so he clammed up and kept demanding to see a lawyer. (A right he doesn't have under Japanese law.) He was sent to the national prison to await his sentencing. Monday, nothing. Tuesday. They have 'locked down' everybody to the ship. We can't go home. We have to stay here until someone above our Captain decides that we understand what it means to be an 'ambassador' to the Japanese people. Um. I didn't do anything wrong. In fact, over 300 people on my ship didn't do anything wrong. So why do we get punished for what someone else did? He doesn't work for me. I wasn't with him. Grr. Talk about unfair!
  23. ^ Is a close personal friend of Jared "the Subway Diet Guy" < My ex-wife wasn't THAT fat! \/ Just tried to give a porcupine a backrub.
