  1. Still struggling through my ballot...
  2. I think the 7 woodies I've ridden in the top 25 were in the same order on my ballot. I can't wait for next season, as I'll be getting on quite a few of the ones I haven't been on yet. But really, who didn't think that Voyage would be #1?
  3. The wood poll was fun compared to this. I individually rank 'em because I'm a glutton for punishment. What makes it particularly bad is that I rode a LOT of new for me coasters this year. The UK trip alone was almost 100 by itself! I think in the end I ended up with @130 new for me including wood.
  4. ^ usually within a week. Only 496 respondants this year. I hope the children who screwed with the steel poll last year didn't play this year.
  5. My 2007 6FGAm season pass has parking on it, valid at all 6F parks and parking lots, including the halloween events around the country in 2006.
  6. It is 10 or 20. I wish the yen rate was 1000 to 1USD !
  7. Although I really enjoyed Nasu, I'm a little curious what theming you speak of. Outside of the 50's era Americana theme applied to the area just above the main coaster conglomeration, there really isn't any theme. Interesting to hear you have moved from South Korea, Darren! Enjoy living in Japan, I know I did.
  8. I don't think I've ever heard anyone call Libertyland a craphole before, but I never got there before it closed, so I can't say that I have any opinion of the place. Southport, Williams Grove and Nara Dreamland on the other hand...
  9. The little people rode a few regular sit-up ziplines. They mentioned the possibility of getting one.
  10. Personally, I really didn't enjoy Blue Streak or Conneaut Lake Park. It just seemed run down. 3.3 acres on the lake do sound tempting, though. It isn't that far of a drive to Kennywood from there. (And there are some truly worthy woodies there.)
  11. Parking at Tokyo Disney Resort: 2000 yen. (The lot fills up quite frequently.) Most other Japanese parks charge 1000 yen.
  12. The UK has 11 of the 33 European wood coasters. I wouldn't consider that a bad share. There might be 115 woodies in the US, but you might say that we have a little more room to put them.
  13. Not sure if that means it's going to be a floorless train, or just informing people that in the standard B&M 'hyper' trains, your feet don't touch the floor. (Well, maybe Casey's reach, but not most people's feet.) Interesting to learn that the train will have lighted trains.
  14. Post relocation, I'm now about 12 minutes from 6FGAm...
  15. Triple Five (The sole owners and now sole managers of the MOA) announced this as part of the Phase II expansion. Don't expect this to be in the 'old' Camp Snoopy area. For that matter, I wouldn't expect it to open on time either!
  16. Typical openings for Japanese coasters are in late July early August. August is the only month the kids get off for summer vacation.
  17. Yup, I visited when I was stationed in Italia. I didn't even realize how unique that Fabbri was for years, although I did at the time feel that the three across seating was weird. At the time, (@2001) the park seemed slightly run down, with most of the rides looking somewhat shabby. I wasn't much of a shutterbug yet, so the stuff posted at RCDB was taken with a terrible camera. The park is located on a hillside which may account for the space requirements mentioned for the new coaster. The 'Zoosafari' part of the name is a drive through attraction with all sorts of animals. I remember it because that was the first time I'd ever done one, and I was interested to see how they kept the lions away from all those tasty antelopes. The answer? Put the elephants between them.
  18. The Singapore Universal Studios rumor is quite believable. The proposed location is very tourist friendly, and was the site of a small amusement park previously. The Sentosa Island area has been looking for new development for quite a few years. The Genting group which owns and operates amusement properties in and around Malaysia (casinos and hotels as well as parks) is supposedly the party pushing for the Universal tie-in.
  19. Zeus @ Mt. Olympus, 14 October. Two three lap rides.
  20. There's a second one (just as painful) quite a bit closer to you, just outside Naples, Italy. It's in Licola, about 20 minutes west of downtown Naples of of SS 7. It's the last place coaster on my list.
  21. Wow, Phantasialand always looks fantastic, but now that Black Mamba is 'growing in' some, it really looks fantastic! Tomato plants inside the coaster? WTF? Thanks, Derek, now I have to figure out how I'm going to get to Germany again ASAP!
  22. That goes on my list of 'Huh' inducing promotional stunts. The car barely made it across the MCBR platform! Funny and weird, thanks for sharing!
  23. Wow! Thanks, ParkTrips! I guess it shows that I haven't actually been in a waterpark in years. I didn't even realize they had been around that long. Shoot, that waterpark in Saipan had the first bowl slide I've ever tried, too! As for Discovery Channel, I'm not sure if I even get that here, or if I do if it's an English channel through my cable company. My wife tends to monopolize the TV with Korean soap operas and Japanese variety shows. I honestly don't think I've watched a dozen hours of broadcast TV this year.
  24. OMG, Julie! Great TR as always, but I'm going to have to put off page 4 until tomorrow! HUGE TR!
